As we look forward to the upcoming games in 2020, we just wanted to remind everyone that we posted our 2019 Game of the Year Awards throughout the week. These included awards from the staff as well as our community. If you missed out on them, here’s a recap and links to read for each award.

For the first time, the NHL All-Star Weekend will feature a women’s game. The two teams will feature nine skaters and one goalie made up of U.S. and Canadian players who are members of the Professional Women’s Hockey Players’ Association — a group who is boycotting playing this season as they fight for a sustainable professional league.

Over the past few years, we’ve seen the addition of things like a batting stance creator, new facial scan fidelity, a new lighting engine, as well as new surface texture renderings. The game has, without a doubt, come a long way in the presentation department. Still, at times, the experience can feel a bit dated and stale. The strong gameplay component keeps many of us coming back, but improvements could still be made.

There’s plenty of dedicated slider creators at Operation Sports, and Matt10 would certainly fall into that category. He came out with version 38(!) of his Madden 20 sliders on January 12, and so I just thought I would highlight them for those who may be looking for a new set of sliders to test out.

If there is anything else you would like to see in the OS weekly wrap-up, feel free to let us know in this post. Otherwise, enjoy getting caught up and we will see you next Sunday.
