NBA 2K20 MyTeam: Prime Series 2 Starts With Porzingis

A new series started today in NBA 2K20 MyTeam, and we got Prime Series 2 Porzingis to kick off that next card collection. A pink diamond Kristaps Porzingis should be amazing in this meta, but his card does not look like it will quite reach that level. Let’s quickly go through the players.

Prime Series 2 Porzingis

Quick Analysis: The issue here is he has no HOF defense/rebounding badges that matter. On top of that, he only has gold Quick Draw and Range Extender. At this point in the cycle, and with him being a pink diamond, that means this card is not going to carry the day. Being 7-foot-3 with 77 speed is okay, and it’s not a bad card or anything, but he’s not top tier.

Other Prime Series 2 Cards

Considering the ratings, I’m surprised they did not flip Frazier and Porzingis. Frazier has a great card, and he’s someone you can for sure use as a PG/SG in the top tiers. His defense is amazing, and his shooting is way better than I would expect. Kirilenko has been a fan favorite in past years, but this diamond is not the one people are going to like. Again, it’s fine like the Porzingis card, but it’s not going to be amazing. Bargnani, Starks and DSJ are decent filler cards.

  1. That Walt card is such a crazy budget beast and I'm consistently astounded by what it's selling for on the AH. Bonkers. My goodness I wish there were more casual ways to enjoy diverse MyTeam lineups that don't involve players chasing 12-0, etc.
