As most of you already know, the closed beta for MLB The Show 20 starts on January 14, ending on January 20. If you haven’t registered, it’s too late.

Q: When will I be able to play the beta?
A: You will be able to connect and play the beta on 1/14/20 and the servers will close on 1/20/20 at 11:59 PM PT.

Q: Will I be able to download the beta before the servers open?
A: Yes. The beta will be available to download on 1/13/20.

Q: How will I know I’ve been selected to participate?
A: Those that receive an invite will be notified in 1/13/20 via the PlayStation Notifications menu.

Q: How can I talk about the beta and submit feedback?
A: A private forum will be available for those who were selected to participate. There you can discuss the beta and take surveys.

A: Events, Battle Royale, Play with Friends, and DD vs CPU.

Q: Will any of my stats, items, or progress made in the beta transfer over to my account at launch?

hope a lot of OS'ers participate, good luck! probably DD vs. CPU testing will be most telling about gameplay.

    Me too man!!
And I agree about the gameplay, that's what I did for last year's Alpha. It was super easy to put together a roster of guys with ratings that would be in-line with what we'd see in franchise. It got to be a bit of a bore (as last year's Alpha build was limited in terms of presentation, teams/stadiums available, etc.), but it got me a decent enough sample size to offer constructive feedback to represent the offline community.

Same here. Hope I get another invite. If they unveiled season play vs the= CPU in DD....that would get me super giddy about that mode.

I honestly don't expect any "reveals" with the Beta - I wouldn't be shocked if it is 19's DD mode setup with just a set of players available and a few options of teams to play against (or the online modes). I'd imagine the focus here will be gameplay and online stability.
(if invited, I plan on advocating for 'clean screen' for all online modes... :D )
