Brett Favre on my Jets made it a whole lot better

I think this will be as close to what we were expecting from Next Gen madden that we will get.

It just seems like the most polished Madden game yet.

The demo was dreadful.

The Madden series has taken a step backward for the entirety of its Next-Gen existence. Of course we can say the lack of competition is the reasoning behind this. Either way, I expect the game to be good for the first couple of weeks playing it, and lose it's playability due to the lack of responsive controls, realistic animations, and overall unrealistic football presence. I really hope I am wrong, but I can't see a reason why EA would spend the time and money revamping as many of the gameplay mechanics necessary to once again make Madden a must have game.

Say what you want about past Madden editions -- this is still the only game in town. It's always solid, but incredible hype leaves people disappointed. Madden is always enjoyable, just seldom spectacular. Personally, I'm more excited for Head Coach, but that's just me.
