Looking at the hype I seem to be one of the few people who find NHL 10 a somewhat stale experience. I must emphasize though that I play solely offline & therefore maybe I am missing out on the online aspect of the game.

I prefer to play franchise modes whereby it is possible to control more than one team to add a bit of variety throughout the season. The Dynasty mode on NHL 10 is single player only. There is a multiplayer season mode but it is totally lacking in depth & logic. A full multiplayer dynasty mode has been missing from both EA's NHL & NBA games for a while now & I doubt that will be any different this year.

I also find the gameplay quite dull & repetitive. With no other NHL game out I will be buying NHL 11 but if 2K release an NHL game in 2011 with the level of quality that their NBA & latest MLB games have then I will probably go back to their series.

With the new Physics Engine, New Faceoff system, broken sticks, this could be the greatest hockey game ever made.

I feel that the EAUHL will change the way that developers look at the online aspect of franchises and dynasty modes.
