easily the best basketball game to date. Even some of the issues mentioned are easily ironed out with the right set of sliders and some manual defense (memo : You have 5 guys to defend with and not just the PG, so use them) .
Very happy about the game

for a franchise to be good for so long it shouldn't go backwards, it'll be a good game!

From what I've seen and heard it looks great. I loved 2K9 and felt that it felt the mostly like basketball out of any video-game that I have played. If it just fixes some of the issues with defensive rotations then it would be great. The franchise mode needs just needs to stay the same.

Please listen to my comment! I have the actual game and played and speaking of a basketball fan THIS IS THE REALEST BBALL GAME EVER! The game has changed so much defensively and offensively and the graphics is sick in HDMI. They paid attention to the littlest detail... you can flop, walk the dog(roll the ball down court from out of bounds) ,Fake double teams, double block animation, better controlled isomotion, better playbooks. Intros are nice and you can customize your own music like 2k5. OMG i had a tear in my eye playing this game. And Kobe and Lebron is super sick!!!..........psssst......... U can lob it off the backboard to your teammate..(whistles) the facial animations are beautiful too. I cant wait for Live also...but i think both game are going to be good,,,,,i dont wanna compare em cause they both are different.

I'm giving it a harsh rating this year. NBA 2k9 was just alright. I think with 2k10, it will be more difficult for cheesers to win. They will actually have to man up and play. There were to many gameplay glitches. While going to the basket for the dunk, the ball would get stolen by glitch abusers that knew the gameplay really well.

Graphics are hot.

The 2k series has benefited from the lack of competition from EA. I consider it overrated. 2k6 and 7 were dunkfests. I actually liked 2k8 despite the missed close shots. 2k9 was back to a cheesy dunkfest, with new cheating AI slashing and alley oop animations sprinkled on to the 7 cheese pizza. And now people are finally catching on that 2k10's demo is the weakest link yet. Live on the other hand has made great strides this year (no doubt aided by their stealing the lead designer from 2k). The demo was very good (with several glitches I hope won't be gamebreaking in the final version). 2k will be more of the same...with some sky high fg%u0025. Funny that the sheeple all think it's so sim. I guess it's bc the majority only have played playground ball. I played 4 yrs of hs ball and 2 yrs of jc....as Jesus Quintana would say..."laughable mang."
