Top 50 Players in NHL 18

This week, EA Sports revealed plenty of NHL 18 player ratings. Cover star, Connor McDavid, took the top spot in both the young stars and the top 50 players with a 93 overall rating – up five points from his ranking last year, and blowing past many of the top stars and veterans of the NHL.

EA Sports recently detailed the new ratings methodology in place for NHL 18 in a blog post. Most important to the young stars is that they are rated so they can step right out of the NHL Entry Draft and into the NHL directly.

NHL 18 hits the ice on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 15. Check out the top 50 rated players in NHL 18 below, along with links to the top 10 at each position.

  1. last year 45 out of top 50 were 90 or higher... this year only 16 or 17 are 90 or higher... to me that's a huge improvement but i guess well see how it translates on the ice

McDavid and Crosbytied at 93.......? Am I missing something?

I'm confused by that as well. Crosby, the best player in the league, is not a high 90? It doesn't make sense.

Like I said in the other thread. He just had one of the best season.
