EA has posted the overall player ratings for the top 10 centers in NHL 18. The team looked at center puck skills, shooting, skating, senses, defense and physical abilities when deciding their overall rating.

NHL 18 has made some changes to the player overall ratings this year, making them lower and more spread out than they have been in the past.

Crosby should be ahead of McDavid, but how do you only have them in the low 90's? Are they not putting anyone in the high 90's? I don't get it.

Must be something with their formula. But I agree. Crosby coming off a outstanding season. And he is the LeBron James of Hockey. He does so much on the ice (even if it's dirty).

They've apparently revamped the formula for player ratings. My confusion is that they seem to have moved guys into brackets, but aren't taking advantage of all of their ratings points, which makes them seem a bit useless.
Overall has always been too over-valued by people in my opinion, without enough attention paid to the values that really matter beneath it.
Players like Kane get over-valued in areas that they aren't really that strong in, to boost the much discussed OVR rating that really shouldn't matter much.
