NBA 2K20 Patch 1.10 Available Now - Patch Notes Here

NBA 2K20 game update 1.10 is available now. It includes hair updates, reduced button latency when playing Pro-Am games and a few other things. Patch notes for NBA 2K20 haven’t been as detailed as they have been in previous games, but judging by responses here and on the Twitter-verse, behind the back dribble cheese has been nerfed, so that’s definitely a plus.

With that said, check out the patch notes below and let us know what you’re seeing.

  • The following players have received Hair updates to reflect their latest real-life look: D’Angelo Russell, Austin Rivers, Nerlens Noel, Robert Covington, Jrue Holiday, Kelly Oubre Jr., Myles Turner, Marquese Chriss, Devonte Graham, Jordan Poole, Cody Martin, Terance Mann, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. (As noted in the comments and Twitter, not all of these players have updated hair, as of this post…)
  • The Duo overlay will now properly show badge upgrades in MyTEAM.
  • Button latency has been reduced when playing Pro-Am games, resulting in a more familiar user experience.
  • Addressed reported concerns where users could walk onto the court in specific Neighborhood games.

Still can't get updated player likeness updates on custom/created rosters. Ridiculous.

This is some bull! They care nothing at all about offline modes. It's gravy train or nothing at this point.

Ok, so the newest player likeness updates did come in created/custom rosters. But the Futlz/Brown/Wiggins update still wasn't transferred over.... So strange

Nerfing the behind the back move is a pretty big deal. Not that more cheese won't/doesn't exist, but that's important. (I also recognize it's not part of the patch notes, so you wouldn't know without playing.)

That lessens the blow a bit but still half^$$ on their part. It seems as if they're just going downhill as a company overall. Gimmicks and green splash is not the right direction if they want to stay on top. Attention to detail will keep them in there rightful position much longer IMO
Funny...reading the Facebook comments. I swear a majority of the complaints are cosmetic. I guess I don't care that much about player portraits/hair, shoes, jerseys, accessories, and arenas.

Lol. I get it. Artwork is important to some people. Frankly, if it wasn't for the various threads on this forum, I wouldn't even had noticed a fraction of what they caught.

Out of the 13 guys they listed in the notes, only 4-5 were updated..:cloudy:

I can't wait to watch comp games without the btb. It's gonna be a s*** show for a bit

For a short while. You know these bums always find something else to exploit. That's why I think they'll never be able to make the "perfect sim" basketball game. Too many bums out here who want to find the best way to exploit the game for wins.

Pardon my cheese ignorance but what exactly is the BTB move they removed? I think I may know cause there was one that triggered a lot and was a eye sore as much as anything but I don’t know if that’s the one being talked about, hopefully it is lol

I think artwork is waaaay too important to certain parts of the community
Some of these were neccessary, but jeez..

The OS and 2k community is very particular about the things they care about. You'll learn that the longer you are here.
Some of the issues people would bring up used to baffle me, especially the art/cosmetic stuff. I would think "man who cares it doesn't effect how the game plays. You can barely notice that issues when you are playing." But people do care about this stuff, no matter how minor it may be, and at the end of the day the more things that 2k "gets right" the better the overall product will be. Maybe it's a hair style, maybe it's a color being off on a jersey or court, maybe it's a body model not being accurate, etc. They might seem like minor things, and they won't make or break the game, but every little detail that is accurate makes for a more authentic product. This is only going to be more important as graphics improve. We are reaching the point where if things aren't 100% photo accurate people will call it out
    If anyone can confirm...
1.) Is the update live? I don't see any of the players updated in my Xbox
2.) When it is live. Can someone confirm or deny this is available for customer rosters...
    PLUS
Confirm if the PREVIOUS player update on December 21st (montrez, Kyrie, harkless)
still are not available for custom rosters (myleague)
    Thanks

It is live on Xbox, the players listed in the patch notes are included on custom rosters but not all are actually updated for some weird reason and the old likeness update still doesn’t apply to a custom roster

Yeah, its a shame, it has come to this, its been this way for a few yrs now, so its likely not going to change unfortunately. I wish I was more handy with a PC, because if I was, I would just go the route of text sim basketball, because Wolverine studios, puts out a good text sim college and NBA game. Problem is they dont have any license so you dont get real teams. Ive tried figuring out how to DL the custom files, but its just too complicated for me. Im PC illiterate, when it comes to that kind of stuff. If Wolverine studios ever gets to the point of OOTP where they get team license's, my PS4 will go up for sale, because basketball and baseball, is all I play, and on the rare occasion I will buy Madden.
Basically right now my PS4 is only used for NBA2k, because its the only game I buy every yr, but I think my gaming days on consoles is coming to a end. As I dont see My League ever getting fixed, its been screwed up since the days when it was called Association mode, as it has the same exact issues every yr, which shows they dont care about that side of the game anymore.
I think there is a few devs who would probably like to see a true NBA simulation, but the higher ups, only care about the fantasy gimic modes online, because of all the extra cash they make from the micro transactions. It is what it is, and after all it is a business, so I get why the focus and effort is put into the online modes.

Eh, I get the disappointment for sure. But I don't agree with the last part because if you're a big NBA fan and have generally enjoyed the gameplay of the series, IMO it's still well worth it each year even with the issues and lack of attention towards certain modes.

I'm personally more of a college basketball fan but watch both. Unfortunately we no longer have a college basketball option so I try to dive into NBA 2k as much as possible but there lack of support for offline modes and giving us a half finished game every year that needs a lot of massive patches is ridiculous. It's not like we are getting the game at a discount or something. I pay my $60 every year just like the online guys do and I want some love when patch time comes too

Everybody's talking about overpowering behind the back dribble animation.
Nobody else is having a problem with the overpowering worm badge animation, especially with the offensive rebounding animation?
How do you boxout against a good offensive rebounder with a worm badge?
complainers criticizing complaint in every patch as if their opinion is always the important one. if you complain about gameplay thats your deal if somebody complain about art issue thats their deal they fine how the game is right now so they will ask for accuracy. just because you complain of how gameplay doesnt play properly in your "world" that doesnt mean its the same to others. this goes both ways. chill

What a world we live in where an update to game is focused on new hair styles meanwhile, the ball/rim physics are still out of whack thus making a simple layup is the most tedious part of the game. The floaty ball physics off the rim should grant whomever did the programming their walking papers. I have never seen such ridiculousness. The whole shooting meter system will certainly cause me to avoid this game at all cost after this year.  When I cut of the meters and use my visuals of the shooting animation, I will easily shoot 1 for 20 from the floor. The problem is, I love the game as a whole. I still wonder how they included the different body types in My Career but failed to add that option to create-a-player mode. If I want a burly guy in create a player, I have to make him 320+ pounds. they give you DNA options which allows me to find a player with tattoos and rename him, but chances are, you will be playing against your doppleganger at some point in your career. There is so many things that this game did well, and so many dumb little things done wrong that kill the game for me. Tying simple and natural things to badges is absurd. Certain abilities are developed naturally in the life of an athlete. If you don't have "stop and start" ability and quick reflexes in High school/college, you are not going to magically gain them in the pro's. They should allow you apply certain badges at the start of your career and then develop them throughout your career and at some point, you can then apply new badges through development. This meter system for everything is killing my desire to play the game. Nothing like playing a great game and then watching your meter increase by such a small amount to enhance my desire to exit the game and play something else more productive.

Me and my friend are playing a season with current teams. I'm the Nets, he's the Lakers, we play each game as each others opponent. I'm looking for some tips/tricks to keep Anthony Davis of the offensive boards with players without boxout bagde.
2K is nowadays a bunch of lazy and lust for money fools who think they will make it by providing the worst experience to their fans. Offline modes are neglected and they only care about the online ones. It will definitely backfire on them, their plan is just awful. Hope they will fix this or they will be forgotten at some point. Very lucky not to touch a 2K game since 2013. A total disaster

It's comments like this that make me question people's motives. This dude haven't "touched" NBA 2K since 2013, YET he's posting in the forums like he speaking from firsthand experience about the game. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not going to follow a game for 6+ years just to make an negative post about it when it's convenient for me.

It's hard coded so I doubt they can change it. It would be really really stupid to do this move again for next years game though.

My inner denial is telling me that they are focusing on patching modes that give them a constant stream of money because they’re focusing their offline efforts solely on 2K21 for the PS5/Xbox-whatever.
But if next-gen 2K21 still ignores offline modes, we can pack it in and move on.
Man they also took away amateur 2 base and release and changed it too high school 1 aka amateur 1 base and release, added this funky shot from idk who, probably somebody off of 2ktv, a lot of us sig makers used amateur 2 both release and base, like cmon 2k man y’all really have a down year
    Hustle Westbrook
They get these VC glitches patched up lightning fast.

Of course. They wouldnt be able to keep milking the youngins otherwise.
I've been playing since 2k8 and I was buying every year up until 2k14 where I decided to do every other year because they weren't changing anything in myleague and I could update rosters online for at least a year after the new game came out. I liked 2k20 because of the historical drafts(which they put 0 time in and are trash)....tendencies are trash, too many badges that lead to animations and too many badges in general....there are so many good things In the game that if they fixed like 10 things gameplay wise & added some things into myleague that actually worked i think we would be happy.
I'll be waiting to see what happens but I highly doubt they will put anything new in myleague. Or maybe I'll eat my words...I know I havent yet.
Consider me a lost 2k customer if they choose to ignore myleague again.
    Edit:
    NOT TO MENTION....
OS has died down tremendously in the last year. Even the last few years too but wow this year there are barely any rosters or sliders. No ones posting anymore. I also barely see any dynasty threads either. This forum used to be POPPING with people. They are all gone:/. Thanks 2k.

I dunno...to my understanding was that roster/slider edits were becoming too time consuming which is leading to the decrease of certain conversations. Honestly, I think the offline gameplay is fine, and I haven't had many complaints between NBA 2K19 and NBA 2K20. However, I don't nitpick the game to death either.

    Completely understandable.
    But....here's the thing.
2k has never made it easy on roster/slider makers. They change gameplay and **** with things every other update because they cant seem to get it right the first time. Or even after a few patches. I downloaded so many GB updated this game because they literally released it with so many issues.
Of course creators are going to be pissed when every single players tendencies in the game are messed up. When newly scsnned players dont go into the rosters already made or even sometimes into people's games at all.
The create a player tool could still use improvements but I'm way happier than years past with it.
The past years drafts created? Trash. Barely any time put into them. I was actually excited for those lol
Overall they always make it hard on the community to do what it wants to do and it's because of them making boat loads of money selling hair styles and colored shoes in a video game.
Anyways...I still play 2k and it's not going to prevent me from enjoying some nostalgia from the previous generational stars. Luckily some people still put the time in to help others have fun with this game. I cant see myself spending more money next year though unless something drastic changes.
How people can complain for months about a players hair being 1 inch too long, or his shoes don’t look worn enough, while the actual game mechanics are in dire need of improvement, is just beyond me.

    and???
The poster is saying focus on the big picture and complain about things that are important, not minute details.
that said, I long ago realized that all the things I considered silly like haircuts, shoes, tiny details on arenas were important to others. My focus has always been on gameplay and issues that impact game modes.
