NBA 2K20 MyTeam: All-Star Flash Pack Leads to Great Market Crash of 2020

Budget ballers rejoice, the inevitable market crash has hit with the MyTeam All-Star Flash pack in NBA 2K20. We’re getting end-game cards once again as 2K tries to race to make getting new players functionally irrelevant before March. The power creep is at an all-time high, but it also means you can take advantage of the market right now. But first, let’s highlight the new players.

  • Michael Jordan (99)
  • Vince Carter (99)
  • Steve Nash (98)
  • Glitched LeBron James (97) – point guard eligibility
  • Chauncey Billups (95)
  • Shaquille O’Neal (92)
  • Kenny Walker (89)

At a glance, that amethyst Shaquille O’Neal basically makes the pink diamond version irrelevant. On top of that, Billups is another insane value card as many folks already know how good he is in the game. Steve Nash won’t be meta, but at 30K it’s still wild value. The Vince and MJ obviously look crazy, and Glitched LeBron now enters the arena as the new dominant point guard who will make you miserable when you run into him. I will not question how good these cards are, I just worry about where we can really go from here. But that’s not a new concern, it’s just reinforced once again with this release.

I can also tell you right now I’m not doing reviews for MJ, Vince or Glitched LeBron as of now. I mean I’ll still review them, but it will be purely off watching others use him and looking at their attributes. Their prices are insane, and even I don’t have the MT to buy them and then sell them back right after without trading a bunch of cards I don’t want to sell while this market crash is ongoing. The others though, extremely affordable. Nash is going for 30K, Billups is barely 8K, Shaq is under 2K and Walker is basically 600 MT.

The market crash has impacted just about every card to some degree, but it’s taking the top off the very highest-priced cards first and foremost. However, some prices are holding somewhat well because they impact certain Signature Series challenges. Basically, some people still want to unlock Brandon Roy so you can’t get every card for very cheap today.

Regardless, if you’ve been hoarding MT, have a blast and buy some cards.

Also, for those who missed the MyTeam Finals last night, 2K released three codes:

  • SIMMO – guaranteed diamond Ben Simmons
  • SPIDA – guaranteed diamond Donovan Mitchell (which also cratered Mitchell’s Moments market. His one card went from selling for over 200K to basically 5K)
  • 8KOBE24 – A guaranteed thank you Kobe pack

One other update is that the Triple Threat vault once again received an update:

All in all, a lot of interesting things took shape today in MyTeam. We’re going to start having more and more of these crashes as 2K releases more insane cards. So if you’re really looking to grab certain players, buy them today if they’re in your price range. If they’re not, chances are they will be soon enough in the coming weeks if you can just hang on and not burn through that MT in the interim.
