Saberhagen will be another interesting pitcher to watch in terms of seeing if he slips into the meta at all or not. Like with Hamels, he doesn’t have the ideal four-pitch mix, but he has some buzz because some people loved using Saberhagen last year. He has amazing control, and even though control is hit or miss with pitching, Saberhagen’s might be good enough to overcome that to some extent. His 95 mph fastball with 77 mph changeup should be the best combo, but his looping curveball was also a major weapon last year.
