No one would blame you if you’ve moved on to getting prepped for MLB The Show 20 —Â we certainly have. However, as I’ve said many times this year, good on Sony San Diego for keeping up the support here. The Show Moments Extreme are a brutal grind I will not be finishing, but I appreciate them being released. In the future, I also think these are the sorts of Moments we should have out of the box, or at least way earlier in the year to just pick at here and there.
I say that because there’s just one unique card, and it’s not meta shattering or anything: Signature Series Rich Gossage. But there’s two other cards that can be earned, and both are good as well. Basically, with a little massaging of the rewards and challenges, this sort of concept is something I would like to see more of next year to give people both online and offline something to chase.
Moments can be very frustrating, so I’m maybe in the minority with this thought, but I think you lean into that frustration if you’re going to do these. The Moments were more frustrating when the difficulty was low yet it felt like it was somehow secretly on Hall of Fame. Here, you know going in these Moments are going to be brutal, and so it changes up the mindset as you enter.
