This is a nice surprise! As they said on last Twitch stream awhile back that we wouldnt hear anything on 18 til after the New Year.

SDS providing us an early Christmas present. :santa:
Sensitive to the fact that development is ongoing and things are still being added, I hope to see some definitive improvements to the front office of franchise mode instead of platitudes about how great the game will be (so don't forget to pre-order).
    started Jonesin' real bad.
got that itch. hope tomorrow it gets scratched.
please let there be some news about something, anything, thats newly editable.
I don't expect too much information to come out of this stream tomorrow. Hopefully I'm wrong and we get quite a bit of info, but I'm just expecting a brief overview of the direction of this year's game.
But we'll find out tomorrow. :)

I'm so starved, hungry and thirsty, I'll take even just that!
It ought to get me through until the New Year.

On the topic of MLB 18, does anyone know if the stadium and JumboTron feedback threads for that game are imminent? I have quite a few photos at the ready for AT&T Park and The Coliseum, and I noticed that this is about the same point in December that said threads were posted last year.

I posted the best shots I could find online of the Holy Toledo sign a number of months ago. Hopefully it makes it in this year.
Yeah, I'm really hoping for improvements in Franchise, if they literally do nothing else but fix the budget/trade/GM goals/FA system I'd be happy.
Improvements on graphics would be nice too (mainly the field and color palette).
The game is by far the best sports game on the market. 2K is close and Madden was a total disappointment this year. They are on patch 8 and the game is still screwed up and here we are at the end of football season.
    1. If they will just put in rotating inter league schedules I'm happy.
    2. Fix the passed ball glitch from last year, where every time it seemed a guy got on base there was a passed ball
    3. Fix player regression. Once again if a guy is over 36 it doesn't mean they should automatically regress 10 points over the season. Base it on performance. If someone like Beltre is tearing it up at 37, don't regress unless his stats decline.
    4. Fix Playoff pitcher stamina
If those 4 things are fixed game is perfect

I expect the Twitch stream today to be used to discuss the Twitch stream schedule for MLB 18. :y1:

There will be a lot of angry people if this is the case. :signball:

I'm thinking this will be something like the Fact Sheets they have provided before and then they will provide the stream schedule for the deep dives for each new aspect of the game.

Yes, nice surprise indeed. I'm thinking maybe their pre-orders from the Judge promotions weren't quite as high as they were wanting, so maybe they figured they better start dropping some nuggets to get more hype. Heck, there are only a couple little things I'm wanting to see before I pre-order. I'll buy the game regardless at some point though. :)
Looking forward to the stream, but I don't expect them to give any shocking news yet.
They will give us lots of streams with a little news each time.
I really do not expect any game play stuff yet........but still i'm exited.
I still own The Show '16 and a PS3 console. Waiting for some major improvements such as new player models, right color uniforms (real black and real red !), less players missing and better on filed play. If '18 goes into that direction, I'm buying the new game and a PS4 console. Am I too unrealistic ?
This series just needs a spark. The player models are still not all the way up to par. The faces were a huge improvement, but it just needs more.
Jerseys need to sway in the wind, we need rain outs. Just fun things that happen in real life, yah know?
Improving RTTS even more. Last year was a great step with the stories, but don't end it there. Keep adding!
Franchise needs a reboot. Bring back things for us to do for our team. Like the vendors and stadium upgrades. I won't hold my breath for create a stadium, but add in nuggets as well as 120 player rosters instead of 90.

MLB The Show 17 was far from a disappointment. It was one of the better sports games to come out in 2017.
Looking forward to see what the team at Sony has up their sleeves for MLB 18!

Depends on your perspective. Online games believe it was one of the worst games ever made. Offline gamers on the other hand love it.
Generally I'm excited. However, I need to see noticeable and fresh changes to Franchise mode before I even consider pre-ordering. RTTS has stolen the spotlight the last year or two.
