It Came From The Forums: MLB The Show 20 Wishlist Thread

One of the great joys I get out of Operation Sports each year is the wishlist threads for each of the games. I like them because there are some insane pie-in-the-sky things that have zero chance of happening but are still fun to read. And I also like them because a lot of the ideas are logical and consistent. It’s also nice to see which things come up time and time again because it makes my job easier when the next game comes out (or is coming out) because I can better understand what some OS peeps will be looking for in the game.

With that in mind, MLB The Show 20 is closer to coming out than I can believe. I am still getting used to a mid-March release for The Show, but that means the game is already deep in development. With so much news about the series going cross platform in the coming years also out there now, it seems like a good idea to share this year’s wishlist so maybe people outside the Sony bubble can see what Show fans want for the series moving forward.

So come check it out, and hey, by all means keep adding to the list if you do.

    - Viewing Pitchers hitting stats (I can't see how many HR i hit with Ohtani)

This is already in the game.
I believe you press square on the players card screen to flip between hitting/pitching stats.
Sorry not in front of game right now to confirm
    -Spring training jerseys
-Choose opposing team uni in RTTS
-Whiff Rate (it’s just total swings and misses divided by total swings)
    -Rotating interleague schedules
    -Uniform creator for mlb teams
-MLB uniforms in DD (it might make me try DD)
    -Mets black jersey from 2000s
-The DBacks purple tops from 1999 - 2002
    -Rehab assignments
-Ability to edit anyone’s number in RTTS, in order to avoid losing your own number
    -Team Color for Fielding Glove
-Option to be a “relief ace” in RTTS (Non-closer, used in high leverage spots; like Andrew Miller)
-I want to see Marlins Man in attendance at important games.
    1) I want more Mets jerseys from the past, such as the 2000s-2010, w black jerseys and the black blue brim hats, heck the dbacks have more uniforms. 2) Switch hitters should and hitters in general should have an option of two different batting stances. 3) Allow us to add more first and last name audio through our voice, if that player’s name isn’t in the game. 4) bring Jordan cleats and equipment into the game. 5) past batting stances such as Yoenis cespedes from Mlb16. 6) ability to edit SDS Sony players hair, beards, & bodies, including faces that aren’t accurate, such as Jose Abreu, & Dominic Smith. 7) pitching motion creator.

Mets are 1 of 5 teams in the show that only have 2 throwback sets. It’s probably very likely they’ll get new throwbacks next year.
Loving all of these ideas. As far as contracts go I would love if trade clauses are implemented that you could also have incentives for performance. Also wish they could take a page out of All-Star baseballs handbook and have the ads in stadiums be varied and look similar to their real life counterparts, especially any on outfield walls.
Keep in mind this will likely be the final version solely on the PS4. It would not seem very time efficient to make several additions/improvements to a game when you are going to have to create a whole new version the following year.

I wish there was ONE stickied wishlisht every year. I've already posted my wants & needs several times this year already and its not even halfway over yet. I think I'll sit this one out lol
Ok I’ll be serious 2 minutes and will give it a shot. I’m not shooting for the moon.
    - A reviewed injury system ( something like NHL19 or NBA2K)
    - Single A level expanded to 25 players ( would like it playable in near future)
    - Little feature who would change how we play Franchise. Just being able to import any player in an existing franchise
    - Some features for our roster creators. Like bulk import-export of a whole team. Less restrictions on number of pitchers-batters and how moving players around in FA list
    - and everything on Bartolo & Buccosback lists :-)
    1. The ability to edit the names, attributes, and appearances of managers and coaches.
    2. Make it where a team can hire managers and coaches from other MLB and MiLB teams. If the Marlins want to hire the Braves' hitting coach as manager or if the Braves want to hire a recently fired manager as their new 1st base coach.
    3. In spring training, if a game is tied after 9 innings, it ends in a tie. It doesn't count in the standings for either team but the team and individual stats do. This is how it's done in real life.
    4. Like an earlier poster said, rotating interleague schedules. If nothing else, go back to when Houston joined the American League and use schedules from that year to present with each new season.
    5. Like an another earlier poster said, customized draft boards.

I don't think they are going to start from scratch when the PS5 is released. They ported over what they had from PS3 to PS4 and I would expect them to do the same this time around.
I didn’t mean they would start from scratch. But SDS likely has a version of the PS5 to work on building the game for the next gen. This obviously takes up a lot of the devs time unless they have hired more staff which seems unlikely.
I am just trying to get ahead of all the SDS hates/trying to kill/ignoring franchise mode posts when next years version is released.
Go back and look at the wishlist from 5 years ago and it’s almost identical to the ones people post now. I wish as much as anyone they would add more to the mode. But I have accepted the mode for what it is and the game is much more enjoyable that way.

Sleeve slider from wrist to shoulder
Pants Slider from knee to bottom of shoe
1960s helmet flat at the bottom no earmuffs
Old school shoes with tongue that folds back
    Baggy uniforms
A big thank you for the Milwaukee Braves uniforms this year looking good
Would love to see the Cincinnati Red Legs cut sleeve uniforms with white hat
Offer choking up on the bat
4 franchise offer an option where you can have complete control and offer something like what's in roster where you can keep building your rosters throughout the franchise season of course with stat Counting
Offer text to speech for those unusual first and last names that aren't on the list
Have real post-game interviews with player of the game
Love the interaction in The Dugout this year beautifully done
Love the names but it would be interesting and more colorful to throw in a nickname of that player once in awhil
I would like to hear them announce Mickey Mantle three-quarters of the time and the mick one quarter of the time same thing with the Bambino for Babe Ruth the same thing for Stan the Man Musial 1st and musual and Charlie hustle for Pete Rose mix it up
Would love to see the Willie Mays basket catch

World Baseball Classic mode, have it integrated into Franchise and RTTS modes.
Also have it linked with DD rewards since that mode is like Tony Soprano and it needs its taste.

Part of their vision for the PS5 is adding those franchise wishlist items

You would know more than most. I just hope it’s a bigger vision than what they did for the PS4. They updated franchise mode in the first version on PS4 and they barely touched the mode since.

Catcher's defensive ratings need to be expanded beyond just "Fielding and Blocking". I think advanced analytics in general need to play a bigger role in the game to help determine the frequency of events happening.
Strikeout pitchers should get more borderline strikes called for them, Hitters who strikeout a lot need to have more borderline strikes called against them. It should then be reversed in the opposite scenario.
I would, specifically, like to see a Catcher's ability to "frame" a pitch be accounted for and built into their ratings. We now have stats that track this (and so much more). I really wish SCEA would use these advanced analytics and bring them to the forefront by way of ratings. I am sure some of these advanced analytics are used behind the scenes (see Quirks), but there needs to be more advanced ratings and Quirks that can be customized and assigned to CAPs/RTTS players.
Here is a link to the analysis around Catcher Framing, its impact on games, and the source for these advanced metrics. They used Gary Sanchez as the case study. These advanced analytics help us understand why some players seem to have a "knack" for framing pitches better, or hitting more doubles, or walking more than average players. Incorporating those into the game, with real data to support it, would make the game have this additional layer of subtle realism baked into it.

    Here we go boys:
    Roster and Player Editing:
Editable coaches for all levels - include the ability to add in minor league managers and base coaches
MLB Coaches should all have personalities for their tendencies and attributes for their decision making like personal sliders for pulling pitchers, when using pinch hitters, how to utilize their pitching rotation/bullpen (like openers and strict bullpen roles)
    Editable minor league options
Editable contract details - front/back loaded, vesting/team/player options
    Editable service time
    Editable statistics
Expanded options for equipment - like Jordan, Easton, Asics, Victus, Nokona, Bel Guard and others.
Metallic gold and silver for equipment - the swishes on some cleats like Jose Iglesias's cleats or other pieces like Manny Machado's elbow guard.
Expanded necklace/chain options - multicolor and longer options
A second stance option for switch hitters - most switch hitters don't have exactly the same stance
    Pitcher delivery creator/editor
Expanded home/road equipment options - team color 3 is a great start but needs to be corrected (for the Diamondbacks and Padres) and expanded
Extra baggy option for pants - pajama style like Manny Machado
Extra long option for socks - over the knee like Hunter Pence
"Pitch Framing" and "Game Calling" attributes for all catchers - there are metrics available already to help develop these attributes for active Major Leaguers
Editable/removable icons on all players (Rule 5, Rookie, etc.)
    Attributes for each defensive position
Ability to select any position(s) as a secondary position
    Gameplay:
Option to choke up - like Alex Bregman and many others
Option to move hitter in batter's box - front/back and towards/away from the plate
More foul balls that hit off the hitter and an animation after they get hit like they're in pain or something
Have an animation where the hitter takes off his elbow/shin guards when he draws a walk
    Collisions between players and walls
    Playoffs Gameplay and Management:
    3 man pitching rotations
6 man umpire crews in the playoffs
Quicker manager hook (no matter the slider)
Smarter CPU logic for picking postseason roster
    Franchise:
    Rotating interleague schedules
    Simpler budgets
Improved active roster and 40-man roster logic
Expanded trade options - like trading for cash or more than three players
Add in an option in 'training' to allow us to teach a player a new primary or secondary postion
Add in logic to have players forget how to play certain positions - Miggy won't play left field or third base anymore
Arizona Fall League - even basic uniforms would be fine even though they just introduced team uniforms for the 2019 fall season
Expanded rosters for spring training - NRIs
    Option to turn off morale
Top 100 prospect board for the league instead of just 50
Top 20 prospect boards for each MLB team
More options as to when we can begin a franchise - we only have beginning of Spring Training or Opening Day but what if I'd like to pick up right where we are irl
Add an option to talk players out of retirement
Edit the amount of rounds in the amateur draft
Add international free agents (defections from Latin America at 16 or established players from Asia in their 20s/30s)
Have players leave (and then come back) to play internationally - players like Eric Thames and Miles Mikolas have done this recently irl
26th man roster logic for MLB doubleheaders
    7 inning MiLB doubleheaders
    Moments:
    More total moments
    More specific criteria for moments
Have default players uniforms/sock styles match those of the era - kills the immersion when I'm playing as Walter Johnson and most hitters have baggy pants in 1915
More accuracy overall for players/lineups/situations around us
DLC Expansions: - I would pay for these as expansions and I know of many other players who would as well.
World Baseball Classic Mode - all players, all venues, all teams, tons of emotional presentations, tournament style, offline and online
All-Star Game Expansion - each team's individual unis, current All-Stars, one stadium, special presentations, Home Run Derby
I've also posted similar lists here and here on OS.

    • Face Scanning
    • Rotating Interleague schedule
    • Exterior Shots of the ballpark
    • Nighttime aerial shot of ballpark
    • Beginning of game, show fans entering ballpark.
    • More city shots
    • In walk off wins, show players rushing the field
    • Different animations to walk off, from running the basses to crossing the plate
    • Different crowd animation that react to certain situation like when a fan catches a ball and high fives everybody or when a team is down to its final out, the camera cuts to several people looking dejected
    • In player cards, the ability to see a player’s achievement, ex. MVP, world series championships, cy young, all star, etc
    • In the awards page, show all the winners who have won the award, not just the last three
    • A list of all past world series champions and pennant winners and series results. ex:
    • On the transaction page, trades and free agent signings stay on the page for the entire baseball season
    • With baseball records such as hits, home runs, wins, show the all time leaders in these categories and as you continue your career and accumulate stats, your name gets added to the list. You can also have the broadcast team mark the occasion; “your player passes so and so for 10th all time in RBI’s” this is excuse to the save that is being played. They can also team records.
    • The ability to get in touch with your agent
    • In batting practice, have unlimited swings at balls
    • In batting practice, have it in the ballpark where the series is being played
    • Base hit celebrations and outfielders at the end of the game, every team should have their own unique celebration
    • Jordan brand cleats and accessories
    • Social media - use real people like Buster Onley, Seth Rosenthal
    • Season weekly rankings
    • When a team wins a championship, the banner hangs with the other banners
    • Stats like BB/PA, BOP, SLOB, TPQ showing up on your playing card, not only when you are playing a game
    • Jersey selection - when you get called up, traded, sign to a new team or a player with a higher overall comes to your team, there can be a cutscene about selection a new jersey number if your preferred number is retired or being used by somebody else
    • Base coaches and managers can’t have the same numbers as players
    • Better retirement logic
    • When a player goes to the hall of fame, it shouldn’t be about the last team he played for
    • The game doesn’t start when its already raining
    • More media interaction
    • maybe three sets of announce teams for the minors, local TV and National
    • SCEA created players don’t play with double flap helmets
    • drastically reduce the pitch DH
    • Magic number
    • For players who wear elbow/chin guard, they remove it when they draw a walk. Hand it over to the first base coach when they get a hit
    • Unbuttoned jerseys
    • additional necklaces, earrings
    • Home and away accessories
    • Three name slots for players who use their middle name or have a suffix ex John Ryan Murphy, Jackie Bradley Jr.
    • Maybe additional slot for nicknames
    • Double or triple the amount of commentary that they have now
    • The option to play the whole game before the game starts
    • Better AI bullpen management. They can pull a starter after giving up 6 runs in 3 innings yet leave the long reliever stay in the game for 5 innings giving up 6 runs with a reliever warming up in the bullpen for 3 inning already and the pitcher on the mound has no energy and throwing 100 pitches.
    • Fix when a pitcher makes a relief appearance one game and starts the very next day
    • Fix when a starting pitcher pitches back to back games
    • Fix when a manager makes pitching change when there was no one warming up in the bullpen to begin with
    • the ability to customize cleats and have multiple colorways of them the same way that nba 2k does
A few simple requests please fix the numbers when I created player from the past I would like that number to stay.
Also it'd be great if you could unlock the helmet Fiasco.
Baggy uniforms with sleeves that slide all the way from the wrist to the shoulder with pants that slide all the way from the knee to the ankles
-If I’m a closer in RTTS, let me chose my team’s uniform... also let me chose my opponents uniform.
-More subtle bat flips, the outrageous ones are cool but I’d like to see nondescript ones too.
Get rid of the stupid RTTS interactions with players on your team. As an 18-19 year old on a MLB team why am I giving advice to Justin Verlander or Miguel Cabrera? Shouldn't they be helping me. And it's the same responses. "Yes I had a good breakfast and I'm ready to go." Lol.
And why remove a thing like an option to remove a pitch.
Would love to see some new ratings. For pitchers have both left and right handed tendencies for H/9 and HR/9. For catchers have a framing stat that can give a boost to the ump's call going in your favor. Also maybe a stat to reflect how good a catcher can handle a pitching stat, maybe have it reflect in a larger boost in confidence during a mound visit.
Would love to see all the personality qualities from RTTS( Maverick, Heart and soul, etc.) added to franchise. Making that work in tandem with morale could be very beneficial. For exame say a player has the team captain trait then his morale would be less effected by his salery being slightly low.
For the love of god just pick one color guy. Matty V and one other announcer would be perfect, along with Heidi on the sidelines.
Has there ever been any mention of expanding rosters past 90? I don’t recall any by SDS. Would there be a way to expand to 120 and not mess with carryover saves?

I really believe if they could afford to hire somebody to do it, carry-overs could still function going 90 to say 120. But I still dont expect increase roster size until PS5. if even then

Fix the change up/ fastball velo. Getting tired of facing a 90mph fb and a 70 mph change etc. Should be no more than 10-13 mph difference. I was watching a stream the other day Nolan Ryan throwing 100 mph fb and a 77 mph change ridiculous and unrealistic.
I would like to see sun glasses mode.....or a mode where all games can appear as night games. I really don't understand the fun in playing a game when I can't see the ball. Save that for real life. i don't need the eye strain and irritation. Realistic lighting is great until it ain't.
I should add I never had a hard time seeing the ball in real life.....because depth I am sure....

that's six things so maybe it's expecting a bit much. try winnowing it down a little more
    :y1:
-Ability to edit all players stances, pitching motions and equipment/possibly attribute in RTTS and in M2O.
—pitching motion editor and ability to choose separate animations for wind ups and stretch.
-Ability to To have separate stances for switch hitters
-better looking created players. More hair/facial hairstyles. NBA 2k quality player creation
-add more equipment options. The clear selection this year, particularly for Nike is terrible. Update elbow guards. Add equipment without removing others. Machpro helmets seem too small. Nike catchers equip. And Jordan cleats. Oakley and other sunglasses flip up sunglasses.
-Negotiate to have at least some minor league players and scans, at least the top prospects expected to be called up. Madden does this every year. At the very least have scan ready to go when players are called up. (This has been done a little bit this year) but we are now 2 to 3 seasons in on many players who don’t have a scan. Dallas Keuchel, Javy Baez, Ronald Acuna and the braves are a great example of this.
-ability to edit scea or Sds players. Hair, facial hair would be great, but even just height, weight body type would be great. Also the ability to edit names of scea players. These options were available in MLB 2K . There are sooo many examples of players with giant/small heads, too fat, too thin, too short etc.
even the ability to edit spin length, sleeve length, add ability to give pitchers compression sleeves or compression shirts that many wear. This was removed for some reason.
-re-implement “mlb the show live” as it was in ‘14
You could use edited players, edited stances windups equipment. It was far better than “live rosters” and I have no idea why it was removed. It allowed you to easily play along with the season.
    -create a stadium and relocation.
-PLEASE FFS give Freddie Freeman an accurate stance! It looks horrible and Now that Didi Gregorius has a new stance I can’t find a single suitable replacement.
-ability to load accurate season standings and stats into franchise mode at any point in franchise so you can play along with the real season and take control from any point would be very cool.
-ability to create coaches and edit current coaches and their uni’s. Many now wear team hoodies. Ability to create/edit umps and ump names would be awesome.
    - ability to upload and import scea players from previous years who now have no scan for having not played the year before.
    -higher cap on pitch speeds.
    -create/edit uniforms.
-commentary. Madden has set the new standar for how this should be done. I have to play with my tv muted while I listen to podcasts etc
    -
Ability to relocate teams and a stadium builder/editor in franchise.
Option to turn off morale completely.
More pitching/catching stats. For pitchers include stats for their tendencies vs RH batters and LH batters. Catchers should have a framing stat to help influence borderline calls.
Split injury and durability stats. It sucks having to sit someone who normally could play almost everyday but he has a low durability rating due to injuries. Some guys I'm having to rest every 3-4 days and when they're not injured that's totally unrealistic.
Fix age regression. I know this is possibly the hardest to do because of roster limitations but in my franchise (I play as the Braves so this is all sim) Verlander has a 2.83 ERA and is leading the AL in IP at the All Star Break. But every stat of his including stamina is down at least 7 or 8 points already. It's unrealistic and a real pain to have to go and keep editing him to stop him from being a 75 OVR at the end of the year. I know it's impossible to predict when someone will regress but when they have stats like that maybe only a -1 or -2 would be fine. Save the -7 and -8 for veteran guys actually playing poorly.
More retro uniforms. As the Braves I'd love to see some of the old Boston uniforms like the Beaneaters or the original Red Stockings. Negro league uniforms would be cool to see as well.
Sent from my SM-G973U1 using Operation Sports mobile app
From the list above, I think that rotating inter-league schedules should be a priority. Also moving coaches to the roster so that our master roster makers could edit them would be great. That would also let us create classic rosters.
I would like to add the ability to store a created face for our RTTS player. Every time I start a new career, I end up spending at least 30 minutes redoing the face from the Excel spreadsheet I have. Having limited time to play, that only happens on the weekend. It would be nice to have it in our Universal Profile for quick access.
Also in RTTS, it would be nice if we could edit non attributes for players, such as audio and numbers. Sometimes I come across a player that needs his audio adjusted or his equipment has changed and there is no way to incorporate these changes without restarting the mode from the beginning.
A nice visual piece would be to put actual jumbotron animations up. I am not talking about advertisements, but home run or strikeout animations. If that is not possible, then use team colors for the canned animations. Also, it would be nice if the colors matched the selected jerseys. For example, when San Diego uses the white and blue jerseys, the scoreboard has a blue theme. When the brown and yellow ones are used, the scoreboard is in a brown an yellow theme.

*Ability to start with up-to-date standings
*Better stat tracking / success tracking
------ in my Mets franchise I fired Mickey Calloway (obviously)... hired some created guy for 3 years won the world series in year 3... have no clue what his name was and couldn't find out without jumping through loopholes to try and re-sign. Same goes for recent years standings. Without tracking it yourself all progress is lost.
    *Custom draft classes
------- if nothing else just the first round would be nice...
    *International FA / Draft Negotiations
------- I don't expect a highly detailed draft salary pool like OOTP but these should be incorporated into the game seeing how important both are to MLB.
    * Top Prospects
------- It's not hard to see who the top ones are through OVR/POT but a list of 10 or so for each team would be nice to have in the team screen.
    * Prospects logic
-------- It's annoying when the CPU calls up guys way before they're ready and they get rocked in the majors. It's too much work to monitor 30 teams constantly when injuries are happening nonstop but regardless Casey Mize should not be getting called up in May of 2019 by the Tigers.
    * Ability to trade $ / international slot $
------- Again not expecting this to be in the game but if nothing else MLB The Show could at least add a retain feature like NHL series has. The Mariners alone have made a handful of trades just this year retaining money. With budgets turned on it's nearly impossible to trade players with high $'s for prospects.
    * Old players not falling off a cliff
-------- It's incredibly annoying to play a franchise (even with 30 team control on) and getting through half a season to see Albert Pujols, David Price, CC Sabathia etc playing at 68 OVR in the minor leagues. Sure they might not be the best players in 2021 but they won't be in the minors.
    * Rehab assignments
---------- Super annoying to me that someone could break a leg and immediately come of the IL to start forcing a roster change. These should be apart of the game and should be the only reason proven vets see time in the minors ^^
    * Carry-Over injuries
----------- Has anyone ever started spring training with a guy who will be out for part/most/all of the season? There's at least 5-10 noticable guys
every year in real life. (Cespedes, Manea, Perez, Koepech, etc)
    * Trade Logic / Trade Deadline Tracker
----------- I turn injuries off in 30 team because of how bad some of the CPU logic is but either way it'd be nice to have a Contender / Rebuild label like NHL has but one that works better. The Orioles/Jays/Mariners/Tigers should all be selling around the deadline and the Yankees/Dodgers/Astros/etc should all be buyers. If nothing else make it easier to recognize who's what without having to back out and go to standings screen and back
    * 4/6 man rotations
------ self explanatory. Pretty dumb this isn't an option already
    * Ability to vote on rules or make rule changes (DH)
------- I started my most recent franchise that I hope to carry over with league wide DH because of all the talk of the league moving towards that in a couple years. I actually prefer the way it is but with the Mets having Alonso/Smith and Cespedes/Cano I figured it wouldn't hurt. However, I'd have rather kept it like current MLB and been able to do this after year 2 or 3 like NBA 2k has with rule changes.
    * Rainouts / double headers / postponements
-------- double headers, finishing the last 2 innings the next day, 26th man/re-organizing rotation... all important factors still left out. I appreciate the steps towards this with in-game delays but let's take the next step
    (Edit) Forgot One
    * Tendering Contracts
----- It is BEYOND annoying to have to go through all 30 teams and make sure they tender contracts to top prospects. In what world do guys like Joey Bart end up in 2020 free agency?
there's some good stuff in here.
the only thing I can think of is being able to easily access the divisional standings while in the trading block/make trades screens. In my franchise I try to make trades in a realistic manner (i.e. go after MLB players from teams out of playoff contention and trade my MLB players to contending teams for prospects), yet when I'm looking at the trading block, I'm constantly backing out several screens to take a look at the standings to make sure what I'm doing makes sense.
I guess I could always use my phone to take a photo of the standings before I start working on trades, but it shouldn't be that way. At the very least, put the record and position in the standings next to each team's name when scrolling through looking for trades.
Of course...if this is already there and I have simply missed it, then please disregard lol
Have the developers play MLB 12: The Show. Seriously, that game was awesome. Make it exactly like 12, only with PS4 graphics, the lighting they added in 15, quick counts, and quick manage.
My only complaint with 12 was that the games took too dang long.
    In RTTS:
I would be great to have some type of news or current events stuff even if it's just about my player.
As usual commentary needs to be better when big things are happening such last game of the my player is on the verge of the triple crown and not one mention of the whole game.
Make salary money do something. Like effect durability of a player by buy things to make your player last longer... I.e. massage therapy or something

Ability to edit ALL players equipment, stances, deliveries in all modes including RTTS and March to October. Drives me crazy.
Continue and expand face scan editions for players that get called up. Having to wait 2,3,4 years for a face scan on players, some of which are stars sucks, especially when ratios and vlad jr. Get one immediately.
To me this game needs to recapture it’s fun factor. It plays very well between the lines but everything else attached to it feels like patchwork. The commentary is so disjointed it becomes an automatic turnoff. The inclusion of Heidi feels like she was shoehorned in to check the box of having an on field commentator presence. They need to inject the excitement aspect of the sport and sew it in seamlessly with the gameplay instead of the ho-hum approach.
Overall the game is feeling like its new additions are stacked pieces on top of the original game instead of a harmonious creation.
For players who play every pitch, every game in franchise, having 3 announcers that that repeated lines every single game apparently wasn't enough. They added a 4th in Heidi Watney who also repeats the same stupid facts. The presentation needs to be blown up and totally re-done! If there was one thing 2k baseball had over the show IMO, it was the presentation.
Also, the Cubs need better throwbacks! There are a few great ones that were overlooked for a plain white one from the 1920's, I mean wow! The time it must have taken to make that uni!:smirk:
What do you guys think about an option to have empty advertisement spaces on all the stadiums and the ability to download real life sponsors to fill those empty spaces that you see in real life?
For example, the Braves have Kroger and NAPA as two of their major sponsors at SunTrust Park. Similar to Sounds of the Show, how would you like to be able to click a link of customized stadium advertisements for every team, save them onto a USB drive, and transfer them where you can select and paste them onto the empty space to make the stadiums look just as they do in real life?
Before you say we wouldn't have the right to do that, think about SDS not being able to have all the minor league players out of the box due to not having rights, yet we can go into the vault and download the OSFM after someone creates them.
I don't care about having authentic advertisements inside the stadiums. If they add it that's cool, if they don't that's cool too.
If added I don't see myself using it.

I would rather have them add back in the old financial system where we could have tv contracts, billboards and such with fake companies. Then implement it so that those advertisers were the ones on all of the places around the parks.

I'm meh on that as well...:)
The only thing I wish is that we had a way of promoting players since morale has "STAR" as one of the requests. I hate that "STAR* players are defined by where they hit in the lineup.

I’m not a game designer, but I’d think this should be easy to incorporate (uniform creator) given that the functionality is already there within DD.

Especially since a lot of teams have their stars hitting #2 now, which is not a "star" spot in the game's lineup.

    Framerate
    Framerate
    Framerate
    The color Red
    The color Red
    The color Red
It cant truly be that hard for these 2 things to finally be fixed

I don't know what it is about colors. Monitor/tv color/hue, etc. settings maybe. I've checked many colors in the game with real life colors and I don't see any issues.

It would be icing on the cake as far as my list goes. The main items on my wish list in order are...
    1. Custom draft classes that you can download from the vault. Set it up similar to what you see on NBA 2k. Expand the number of teams and minor league depth charts in A ball to be able to handle all these players.
    2. Have a manager/coach carousel where every manager and coach can be customized by name and in appearance. Make it where teams can hire managers hired and fired by other teams and promote from within.
    3. Have rotating interleague schedules. If nothing else use schedules from years past in a rotating basis.
    4. Eliminate extra innings during spring training games. If a game is still tied at the end of 9 innings, it doesn't count in the standings but all the stats do.
    5. Make the crowd even more lively. Make their reaction deafening during huge plays especially in October. Have lots and lots of boos when the other team's manager is out arguing with the umpire, etc. Make the atmosphere dead with teams having horrible years and low attendance and wild with teams who keep winning and have increased attendance.
    6. Continue to add even more animations. There are a ton in the game now, but keep adding them.
    7. Instead of relying on sound of the show, SDS should add in a lot of sound effects out of the box that wouldn't be a copyright issue (Tomahawk chop, sirens, planes, drums in Oakland, cash register ring up for strikeouts, etc). Rely on sounds of the show to create walk-up music as well as dead Pac-Man and other sounds for strikeouts.
Add new player attributes. For example , spin rate for pitchers is the first thing that comes to mind. If anybody can think of other that’d be great.
    Create/ edit managers and umps
Expand equipment- cleats haven’t been so good this year, also add a high top, mid, low option.
    Add new glasses/sunglasses.
    Add new elbow/shin guards
    Nike Cather gear/Jordan gear
Allow pitchers to wear compression style sleeves/undershirts- also ability to adjust sds player sleeve length. These were in the game but wereremoved.
Address players with tiny/giants heads issue. There are many.
    Mach pro helmets too small.
    Pipe dream territory
Updated or changed player models. New body types
Ability to edit player height weight and body type as well as ability to edit players hair/facial hair.- I know the argument used against this, but it’s been done in other games.
Restore “mlb Live” as it was in ‘14
You could edit equipment/windups/ stances and you could even edit appearance of players that didn’t have scans or even upload players in place of sds players if you wanted to create them yourself. “Live rosters” is essentially pointless and stats and other infor is often incorrect.
Create a player on par with most other sports Games, particularly nba 2k. You can create much more realistic looking players, new hair/facial hair options

Add Mets Black unis, brewers gold

I don't know what it is about colors. Monitor/tv color/hue, etc. settings maybe. I've checked many colors in the game with real life colors and I don't see any issues.

I have PS4 Pro with 4k Samsung TV-
Have played with every setting and color still off.
Was playing with Jays and arm sleeve is the correct red and Nike batting gloves are faded red
They dont even come close to matching
And its like this with a few other teams
Also wish like Madden they would update players during the year
    Greinke short hair
    Griduick short hair
And also ALL MLB players last names in the vault-
I'd like to see them add a feature from MVP. Not an MVP fanboy, but, BUT, this thing was overlooked and was so simple and so elegant.
At the pitchers release point, there'd be a quick half second flash of the ball. Designated colors would help you out with "Reading" pitches. Red was a fastball, Purple was a slider, Blue was a change up etc... If never tipped location, but allowed the hitter to see the seams as if you were actually in the batters box. It was a fantastic innovation in MVP, and am shocked nobody else has give it a shot.
I doubt that is proprietary, if it is, then I could understand. But that was one of the best features I've ever seen in a baseball game. I used to buy MLB 2kX, and MVP... Usually preferred 2k to MVP. But MVP 2005 (I think) was the game that had the quick light flash.
It really made you feel like you were in the box, and you, not some animation was facing the guy on the mound. If you blinked, you missed it. It wasn't a long flash, maybe 1/3 or 1/2 a second at the point of release.
I'd love to see SDS bring that back, maybe even improving on a 14 yr old mechanic. Lol... That's what I'd love to see in next year's game.... Maybe being able to bring custom rosters into March to October too... But the release point flash is the thing I want most.
For me, I'd love to see:
    - Increased roster size considering all the hard work guys do with the rosters every year. It would give them more options.
    - Overhaul scouting. Scouting and player development is such a huge thing in baseball compared to any other sport. There should be a focus on that in the game.
    - Different animations for players especially running.
    - As lame as it is, 'the opener'
    - Two way players are starting to become a trend as well. That should be in the game next year.
    - Utility position eligible. Why is this not a thing? Or just the ability to pick any position combination a player could play at. Or just have it where a player has to play so many innings to be eligible at a position?
    - Contracts sometimes aren't realistic. For instance, I resigned Gerrit Cole to a 5 year, 120M deal. That's not a bad contract but I feel as if he is due to get way more.
    - Player progression/regression. Just because a player is 34 doesn't mean he should start the year at 74 and drop to a 63 during the season. Justin Verlander shouldn't go from a 92 to a 78 in one season. That's just crazy. Players take massive jumps down but barely jump up.
    - Be able to import players during the season for any team that way people don't have to keep restarting their franchise.
    - Trade logic. I know this is tough every year.
    - Calling players up. I shouldn't see a 18 year old just drafted starting in the majors the following year. That's just... no please. It goes back to the development I was talking about. Maybe a player needs to have so many MILB at-bats before getting called up, same thing with innings pitched.

Never thought of that, but the ability to edit the umpires with their real names and tendencies would be cool. Great idea.

That is a great idea, I need me some Tim Timmons and Dana DeMuth.
I'm sure these have already been mentioned, but better CPU roster management. And the ability, like 2K has, to approve/reject CPU-CPU trades. As it is now, I can check the acquisitions log before clicking Advance Day and reload of something wonky happens, but it'd be easier to just give me commissioner abilities.
Some examples of better management. On MLB 18, the Yankees kept trading for backup catchers. They made three trades before I started blocking them. They're starting to do the same in my franchise on 19 now.
Teams should also be required to carry at least two catchers. The Astros traded Chirinos in my franchise. They didn't call anybody up to replace him. So Stassi has been holding down the fort for three weeks. They just now acquired Hedges from the Padres. Good. But now the Padres are going with just one catcher.
The Mariners traded a B-level generated CF prospect to the Red Sox for a B-level generated 1B prospect. No problem. The next day they flipped the 1B prospect to the Indians for a C-level CF prospect. Makes no sense.
And yeah, I know, 30-team control. But you shouldn't have to do that to avoid some of the head-scratching decisions the CPU makes.
My wish list generally pertains to franchise mode as that's all I play, but they don't necessarily need to be exclusive to it.(also avoiding "improve this" or "fix that" and focusing more on things that aren't currently in game)
1- Non roster invitees: Would be great to bring in some vets or cast offs to take a chance on in spring training.
2-Rehab assignments: Would be pretty cool to send a guy working his way back from injury to AAA for a few games(maybe 3 max). Could be an optional feature as well(as in you don't have to send them if you don't feel the need)
3- Rain outs/double headers: Rain delays were a really cool addition. Would love to see them take the next step and add full on cancelled games leading to double headers. This could also lead to the addition of the 26th man.
4- Brawls and suspensions: Obviously I understand why MLB wouldn't want a feature like that in the game. However, it is part of baseball and IMO should have some sort of representation in the game. We don't need to see the whole thing or even any of it. You can just show maybe benches clearing, guys arguing, etc and then just cut to a screen telling you who was ejected and whatnot. After the game you can find out whos suspended and for how long.
5- Real coaches and players coming back to coach: They don't need to include every manager and coach ever, but perhaps those that were under contract within the past 2 or 3 years. And having one of your guys retire, but bringing him back as your manager or a coach would be pretty sweet.
6- Opt outs/ no trade clauses: Signing a guy to a minor league deal but him having say a June 1st opt out would put some pressure on you as to what to do as the date gets closer. The no trade clause would be tough, and would most likely need to be full and not partial. But maybe your the Blue Jays and you have a canadian fella on your team, and he wants to stay close to home so he rejects a trade offer. Or perhaps your in 1st place but just don't have any plans for him but he doesn't want to go to a lesser team. Again, generic but cool IMO.
7-International signing period: Obviously with generic guys. It can be just a short 3 day thing. I'm sure it would be a touch tricky to add international bonus pool money, so it could just be treated like free agency.
8- Player interactions: I guess this could be considered improving upon something, and it's more for those that don't always check morale. But getting an e-mail or a pop up or something with it saying to the effect "so and so isn't happy about not starting" or "this guy isn't happy here and would like to be traded" would be neat little things.
9- In-game coach suggestions: Another one that is kind of a tweak but also an addition. Pre game when setting your line up you get coach pop ups(this guy has been red hot, maybe you should move him up in the line up, or this guys hasn't played in a while etc), why not in game as well? When going to the bull pen or pinch hitting, why not something like "this guys been lights out against lefties this year, maybe you should get him up" or "this guys has been hitting .450 off the bench, maybe you should go with him".
10- Relocation/expansion: Relocation is fairly self explanatory. But I think an expansion draft would be a cool feature. There would obviously need to be 2 teams to keep things even. Perhaps each team drafts 2 players each from the other teams so you loose 4 guys and really have to decide who to make available. Id say this could only happen once during your franchise, and maybe you can even dictate when. Also you could have the choice of being one of the expansion teams!
The game needs a mlb simulation <———-> arcade slider for hitting where you can tune in your ratio of hitting attribute influence verse actual input influence. For example at default it could be 50%/50% and raising and lowering the slider increases or lowers the other variable.
I feel hitting has regressed the more they have tried to encompass both ends of the hitting ability spectrum (the weaker player at one end the stronger player at the other). The range is too far the balance properly.
I want a practice mode where you can set which of the 9 areas of the strike zone you want pitches and which pitches you want to see. So you can work on recognizing pitches or even randomize it where you can literally see any pitch from a pitcher.
Only thing I want....and have wanted for years….and every year disappointed to not see it.
Everything else pales in comparison. The online aspect of the Show sucks and is stale.
It's crazy how 12-13 years about multiplayer online baseball was a thing but in the year 2019 we can't implement it and its nowhere to be found???
We need a World of Chel esque mode. Where you take your RTTS player and you compete vs other RTTS players. Like a 5v5 or 6v6. Have elagues and just drop in games. Stats.....leaderborards. Like the old UBO baseball. I've been dying for something like this for ever a decade. The most fun I have ever had in gaming was playing mmo baseball.
This better be a thing on the PS5....there is no fing reason why it shouldn't. At the very least bring back Online Franchise.
I just wish they would give me the option to review all of the accepted trades around the league before they actually happen (like 2K does on My League).
That would cut down on the awful trades without having to go through the hassle of 30 team control.
Provide that with improved team and player AI in free agency and I would be perfectly happy with Franchise mode.
It was said once before here, but for me, the only thing I really want is an expansion draft in franchise mode. After playing with expansion teams in 2K and in NHL, I find it hard to start a franchise now if I'm not an expansion team. I like the challenge of taking the "cast-offs", so to speak, of other teams and start building the team my way.
Not sure how they would implement it since they would have to determine the rules for the expansion draft and everything, but I would love this.

    This!
I mean there is obviously much more room for improvement but this would be huge for me as well and should be easy to implement?!
Some ideas to make a very good game great and more immersive.
    CUSTOMIZATION
    • More Minor League Teams!!!! A/A+ and Rookie pool at least!!! AA and AAA is not nearly enough for an immersive franchise. A farm system like the Yankees with so many teenage prospects is impossible to replicate right now. There are roster shortages all over the place with the current limit. Plus it would allow a deeper draft.
    • More than two uniforms for MiLB Teams!!! There are so many fresh and innovative uniforms in the minors. Show them some love!
    • More throwback uniforms: Yankees away pre1973, Braves 1969, Rangers 1990, Reds 1967, 1969 , 1995 White Sox 1988, 1967, Twins 2009…
    • spring training uniforms
    • Ability to create and import uniforms for MLB and MiLB Teams
    • Make name audio editable for SCEA PLayer
    • Ability to import SCEA Players
    • More and realistic MiLB ballparks!!!
    • Team Editor!!! (set home ballpark, change manager and GM, edit players uniform numbers, bullpen strategy (eg rays "openers"), lineup construction, organizational stage: rebuild/contention/all-in, switch affiliates
    • editable Manager, GM and Ownership Traits
    • Unite player editor und roster management= No switching between editing a player and moving up or down!!!
    • Two way Players
    • Better and more diverse generic faces in Player creation, more non-coloured glasses, more and realistic haircuts
    • Exported CAPs from other Rosters should be automatically named
    • Editable service time and career stats
    • Possibly an external roster editor…
    • tradeable single A-players. do not assign players to 40 man and MLB automatically, make Free Agents and Legends editable without having to trade them to MLB first, release players without switching. No need to have exactly 90 players...rather have a min. and max. roster size
    • Player Trade Menus sortable by Position, Ability, Age, trade value....
    • Sortable tab "all players" for global editing (eg. fastest players in the league)
    • return to the exact position/tab after editing a player (eg. Brewers left Fielders or Double A) instead of all Players!!! its so annoying to always have to revert to the last position
    PLAYER RATINGS AND ATTRIBUTES
    • Consistency/Volatility Attribute
    • Baserunning attribute
    • Fielding attribute position relative? No hard penalty for premier defenders, true Utilitymen
    • Defensive Positions with a qualifier. Something like that: A skills 100% of defensive Attribute, B skills 80%, C Skills 60%, Not his position 30% No Reason why Javi Baez should be a worse 2B than a SS
    • Real utility players: every combination of positions selectable as second position
    • Player rating: use projections instead of just last seasons stats. Poor guy just had a cup of coffee and is now a 59 OVR?
    • More advanced stats, FIP, WRC...
    • Make potential grades a little more subtle and meaningful: a+/a/a-
    PRESENTATION AND MENUS
    • More exterior views of stadiums, cutscenes of cities.
    • Extended scoreboard: pitchcount, name of pitcher/ batter, nr. in batting order
    • more information about Players: tendencies, splits, past accomplishments, streaks, records....and the league: stat leaders, standings
    • No blocked submenus in game menu during cutscenes
    • In team selection screen dont always return to favorite team when switching sides!!
    • Display useful information in lineup/bullpen screen: Pitch count, splits, …
    • Practice mode: sliders available, information and tendencies available, bench players available, lineup experiments, rtts fielding!!!
    GAMEPLAY
    • Make pitchers throw more balls
    • Better baserunning controls, stop sign for basestealing
    • More fielding opportunities in player lock/RTTS! more involvement, tagging, relays..
    • Batting practice: RTTS Options, Pitch recognition drills, select pitch types, so you only get curveballs or high fastballs or inside stuff
    • Tutorials, practice: Real Fielding Practice with a wide variety of situations. play catch! Batting Cage, Bullpen Session …
    • customizable fielding camera (look up for fielding Flyballs)
    • Option to only hit/pitch in games!
    • More diverse Hitting animations, twisted bodies, reaching, leaning, golf swings....
    • More trouble on the basepaths
    • A quick manage button on-screen.
    • A sped-up quick manage mode in-game: Watch and control the game
    FRANCHISE
    • Full MiLB stats after the season and in the player menu!!!
    • Top Prospect Listing for every organization!
    • A List of interesting player: My watchlist with stats etc. to monitor trade candidates
    • Draft history lists
    • Transaction list for full season and past seasons
    ---Transactions and roster management---
    • better Franchise trade logic (corresponding with GM and organizational traits, roster strategy): Production should be more relevant in trades, e.g. hot hitter to a contender for a playoff push, make contract lenght relevant in trades, Three team trades, More than three tradeable players, Trade for cash, Have CPU convert players /switch positions in Franchise (eg 3B to 1B, CF to the corners) instead of trading away prospects to get a halfdecent player to fill a certain undermanned position.
    • Batting Practice (like in RTTS) in Franchise!!!
    • make Training effective and maybe playable (fielding and hitting drillst o gain development points…)
    • minor league contracts
    • Full Spring Training with Non-Roster-Invitations.
    • Ability to import players into existing Franchise
    • Revisit the morale system: No reason a called up prospects morale should go down. Raise the pay automatically
    • Better bullpen AI
    • More roster shuffle, DFAs, signings and releases by CPU.
    • Minor league signings
    ---Player Development---
    • Custom draft classes to edit, share and download!!!
    • Rookie/draft pick ratings are way too low. most of them wont reach the majors until age 27/28
    • Revisit scouting system: start earlier, cover more prospects
    • expand the draft!!!
    • Edit and assign draftpicks immediately after signing
    • make progression more volatile and dynamic. More D prospects making the jump to B and reverse. Like a 26th rounder becoming an allstar.
    • Development curves! Different types of development to assign to players
    • Development relative to Position. Catchers slowest, Shortstop fastest...
    • realistic deterioration: eg. strike zone judgment almost always getting better. Some Players play into their late thirties, late bloomers
    • Position Changes in Franchise: converting starting Pitchers/Relievers; Prospects coming up as SS, CF and only later move down the defensive spectrum according to positional relevant skills, Players change Positions according to attributes and organizational needs
    • Pitcher development: learn pitches, improve pitches, Improvable pitch qualities (command, break, speed) not just /9s
    • A solution for pitchers who shuffle between rotation and bullpen. Reliever stamina for SP automatically assigned maybe?

    This!
I mean there is obviously much more room for improvement but this would be huge for me as well and should be easy to implement?!

This used to be a thing a few years back. It's so stupid that they took it out.
The only thing I ask for every year for maybe the 6th straight year is the ability to edit both the windups and stretch motions of pitchers. It would help with immersion and roster creation.
Since I've had so much success in getting this implemented, I figured I'd ask for the ability to pick any no doubt homer swing from any player. Having the same 6 realistic homer swings from RH batters is insane in 2019. If I want to use Josh Donaldson's stance and Kris Bryant's home run swing I should be able to do it.
    General

    • Playable High-A Teams
    • The ability to rename generic MiLB and Spring Training stadiums and assign them to certain teams. A similar feature currently exists in FIFA.
    • Full editing of managers, coaches and possibly even umpires.
    • Full editing of SCEA players

    Classic Stadiums

    Graphics and Visuals

    • I know this is a very negligible/small aesthetic request, but I think it would be cool if press box areas had journalists on laptops occupying them instead of regular fans.
    • Camera operators in camera wells

    Equipment

    • Team color option for fielding/pitching gloves
    • The ability to add chin guards to Minor League Players' batting helmets

    Franchise

    • Rotating Interleague schedules

    Presentation

    • Just as there are already broadcast packages that mimic NBC Sports (Theme 1) and FOX (Theme 2), there should be an additional one to replicate an AT&T SportsNet telecast.

    Uniforms
Even tho Im sticking with 19 for a few years (its a great game) boy oh boy I want Batting and Pitching practice INSIDE Franchise Mode sooo bad.
And have a uniform creator or at least able to edit the uniforms colors etc..
Thats it for me. Everything else is good!

    - no more showcase, it’s boring and hasn’t changed in the last 4-5 years
    - Let’s started in high school. play around 10 games
    - have option to go to college, have real colleges add the college world series.
    - no more late draft rounds unless you play bad. if i play great in high school/college i want to try to get drafted #1 overall.
    - add a storyline into the game

They already have a story line. Its just awful.
I think this game already has the most complete and playable franchise mode. But I’d love to see an option to export stats to a CSV file. And the ability to create and share teams, uniforms and stadiums

Well sure they could do it, but would the benefit of having a NCAA license in a MLB game that is only available in RTTS really worth the cost of the license to SDS?
I don't think they would sell anymore copies, or maybe a better phrase is enough copies, to offset the cost of NCAA licensing. I just don't think its that sought after by the MLB gaming community.

To be perfectly honest, I never really paid any attention to the classic stadiums in the game before. I focused on franchise mode and rebuilding teams (including the Tigers the past couple years, yikes). I never even realized it wasn't in the game. But now..now I need it in game lol. I like Comerica Park, but would love to see Tiger Stadium again, even if only virtually.
Hell, give me expansion in the game with Tiger Stadium, and I know what stadium I'm using for my team.
So that gives me two things I really want for MLB The Show 20 now
Presentation Options - I wish there was a way when using Fast Play to still get a few extras. Specifically:

    • HR celebrations, rounding the bases, stadium specific things (train in Hou, apple in NY, etc.) but no replay afterwards
    • Post game celebrations, walking off the field, etc.

Basically, something in-between Fast Play and Hybrid. I don't want replays or throwing the ball back to the pitcher after the pitch, but do want some of the celebration aspects.
My main wishes are customization. I saw mentioned earlier about managers/coaches/umpires. That’s a great idea. I play Manage-Mode a lot and there’s times I wish I could edit the current manager or one of the managers available for hire since we are the ones actually managing the game.
Another thing is player defense and secondary positions. It doesn’t seem like there’d be an issue allowing us a check-box type of option for selecting secondary positions instead of only choosing from what they have set. As far as defense goes, I love that they implemented the penalties for secondary or just being out of position altogether. But I think they need to take it a step further and (this might be too much) add either a penalty rating or a familiarity rating(probably franchise only)for each players secondary positions. I’ll use Ronald Acuña as an example. he’s a LF who moved to CF for some time. If I keep him listed as a LF and just play him in game in CF he shouldn’t have the same penalty applied to his rating on the first game there that he does the tenth. Players learn positions and get accustomed to them. The more time a player plays a position I think the less penalty should occur. I also think this would create another layer realism in franchise.
Another thing that might be a step too far to make work is making pitchers ratings based off of their pitch repertoire. Velocity/movement/control are all fine. But I don’t feel like it tells the whole story.
Last thing here is making the rosters more player oriented and less positionally based. I understand it’s most likely needed for the AI logic currently in the game. But the main point I’ll make here is having a differentiation of SP/RP/CP. Anybody(mostly) can be anywhere at anytime and having those designated labels handcuffs the CPU teams. All of the pitchers can be thrown under one label and the AI can base decisions off of things such as stamina and clutch as to who should be starting games and in the bullpen/closing etc. Some guys bounce back and forth between the rotation and the bullpen a lot. Or will be a bullpen guy one year and start the next or vice versa.

Get Heidi out of the game

I wouldn't mind her if she had like 50 more things to say so it wouldn't get SOOO repetitive.
Matter of fact the commentary is probably the weakest link of the whole game. We literally need 20 times as much commentary as we already have.

I'm never in favor of a feature being dumped after one year. That's an EA trick, throw something half baked in but dump it because they're too lazy to make it better. Given the chance to build on it and improve it, I'm confident SDS will be able to make it work.

I don't think there's ever been a sports game made in the history of video games that has had commentary that wasn't super repetitive. I'm sure it's a hardware limitation, at least I hope so.
    My personal wishlist:
    1) ability to change facial and regular hair on players. Not only is this incredibly frustrating as a Yankee fan, but just in general this changes so much. A fun part of baseball is ignored here.
    2) more minor league levels, obviously. We don’t have to make them playable, but I think at least full AA/AA/A need to be options to fill out a roster.
    3) incorporation of international markets. I would kill for a NPB league aspect so we can show interest in certain players that would affect whether they wanted to be posted or whether they stayed in Japan.
A Latin America scouting aspect would be awesome too. Like showcase games in-season that allow you to get more info and leverage to sign international free agents and prospects.
    4) ability to edit both the windup and the stretch animations. They don’t always match for both. I think there should be two options there including a “only pitches from the stretch” option as well.
    5) redo morale, especially in relation to salary and role. RP’s furious they aren’t closers, rookies upset about salary, that’s just ridiculous. Also, a screen that lets me choose whether CC Sabathia (WHO LOVES NEW YORK) wants to be close to his birth state.
    6) ability to assign “top prospect” status at the beginning of the year to give some minor leaguers more trade value. Just a “you must pick your top 5 prospects” thing would be really awesome.
    7) more commentators. They don’t have to be former players, even just voice actors, but having like 4-5 booths that you spread out across leagues and regions would really just improve on things feeling repetitive. Even the same thing said in a different voice would go a long ways there. Maybe one athlete per booth or something?
    8) ability to injure players manually and still have 30 team control would be amazing. I hate having to choose between the two. I want to be able to import my prospects but also not have players furious for being in Single-A because they don’t realize they had Tommy John surgery in real life.
    9) two way players, because duh.
    10) utility position as an option, and the ability to select positions for their secondary. This is long, long overdue.
    11) make former players available to be coaches after they retire.

Would also like to be able to make a player play multiple positions. I know that some already do.. But to be able to allow them to play all INF and all three OF spots. As it is right now they have a primary position .. a few select other positions.
Tommy Edman for St louis as an example ... primary position is 3b .. and can also play 2b/SS.
in Actual baseball .. he can play 2b/3b/SS and all three Of Spots. But I cannot change that in the Show. I want to see a selection as simple as Inf/Of. If that makes any sense.

I skipped MLB The Show 19 due to lack of Franchise improvements so I'm hoping that some of these get in next year with the rest when we reach the new consoles.
    Franchise:
Sim A Win: Madden has had this for a while, NBA2K20 is now allowing to choose winners when you simulate during MyLeague/MyGM. This will allow us to play along with the real season.
MLB Expansion/Relocation: This might not be until PS5/Xbox 2 but needs to be added for sure. Rob Manfred has said that he wants to expand the amount of teams to 32, even named cities in the process. Would like to see this added as Portland is building a stadium to lure a MLB team or get one via expansion and Rays splitting their time between Canada and Florida.
Expansion/Relocation 2, Stadium Maintenance: Similar to Madden, you have to maintain your stadium and keep it above a certain score. If it is low enough, you'll have the option to build a new stadium or relocate to a new city. Once the score was low enough, I'd like to see cities contacting you or you being able to start talking to other cities about relocating. This would of course affect attendance, fan support, etc. If your the Rays and Montreal contacts you and say we'll build you a new stadium if you relocate. Nashville, Portland, they will contact you about relocating, etc.
All Star Game: In NBA 2K, you can select the host city of the All Star Game every offseason. Would like to see this done here as well. Also you can choose who makes the All Star Game manually if you don't like how it was generated. Again, this allows you to keep up real time and choose the actual all star teams.
Conference Realignment: Want to place the Astros back in the NL and The Brewers back in the AL? Want to have fun and create fun divisions? Go ahead! This of course would be done in the offseason before the new season.
    1) Online Franchise with improved scouting and rotating schedules
    2) Online playoff mode - Play each round of the playoffs with friends to determine a WS Champion
    3) Robust user profile stats with a trophy room that other users can view
    4) Make online rated games matter more by giving out DD rewards, ability to wager stubs and/or cards. Also track history with records & stats with any online rated teams used.

Mine would be for RTTS in no particular order
1: As an outfielder being able to earn arm accuracy when you actually throw to a base and not just the cut off man as always seems to be the case for me.
2: Bring back the ability to level up our RTTS characters by buying stubs and using them to level like we had in previous games.
3: The option to stay down in the minor leagues longer if we wish, regardless of stats or play if we so wish.
I'm not gonna touch on franchise since most of what I'd want is already covered in this thread and previous years' threads. So no sense in rehashing all that.
    Ratings
-Pitcher velocities should just be the mph and not a 0-99 scale so we can get more accurate velocity representations and how they relate to one another.
-Pitch velocities need to be more in line with what we see from pitchers today. For a non-SCEA player, changeups max at 84 mph but there are quite a few people currently in the minors (with no MLB experience or have not been in the MLB in the past season or two) who have a changeup that is faster than 84 mph. Also, if differentiating between fastball and change as their currently portrayed is too hard for players or devs to deal with, then add a small color flash to represent the general pitch-type (red: fastball, green: breaking ball, blue: off-speed). It only needs to last right around 1/4-second at the release or the pitch.
-Pitchers should have split per/9 ratings for LHH and RHH since most pitchers perform better against one side of the plate than others.
-Ratings for break should be split into break and movement. Some pitchers have curves that have a huge, looping movement while others break a lot more sharply. For example, look at the looping effect of Kershaw's curve compared to Godley's (when it's working right and not all over the place). The both share a similar level of movement (dropping over 18") but Godley's is flatter at the start and drops of the table compared to the looping of Kershaw's.
-Catchers should have ratings for framing pitches and calling pitches. That would help set catchers known for those aspects apart for other defensive catchers, like how Posey frames the zone or how Mathis (during his time in AZ) was the best at getting "Greinke to Greink."
-Defense should be split from just fielding to fielding and range. Some fielders are great with the glove but have a limited range while others may not be as great at flashing the leather but can cover a greater distance.
-Durability should be apart from an injury rating and a recovery rating. Some players can play daily until they end up with an injury that seems to happen frequently while others may just need a day off every 3-4 days but are hardly ever injured. Also some players tend to bounce back from a hefty workload quicker than others.
    Sliders
-We should have sliders for things like progression and regression within the RTTS and Franchise modes. This would help with seeing certain players have drops in ratings by nearly 20 points in some cases. An example I see a lot is Verlander. He's pretty much the class of the AL right now but in-game, he drops from his high-80s/low-90s into the low-70s just because he's 34+.
    RTTS
-The ability to edit numbers is needed at bare minimum for roster editing in RTTS. My freshly called-up player isn't going to take 52 from CC just because I'm a 72 and CC's a 66 because of age-related, massive regression or my newly-signed FA is going to take 27 from Trout even though I'm a 93 to his 92 OVR. If devs don't want to give us editing powers, then when we switch teams, there should be a pop-up that says this number is taken/retired and then we can choose a new one from the list of available numbers instead of either pushing the next highest available number on me or the player who currently wears that number.
-Having the archetypes is not too bad, but there should either be more variety in the main ones or just allow for a few flex points to be a little different within the archetype (like Vlad Jr vs Cris Carter where both would fall under a pure power archetype but flex points can make a difference as Vlad Jr has a better contact rating while Carter either hits a HR, pops up, or strikes out).
-There should be a secondary archetype that is completely position-dependent. Pitchers could have a secondary archetype of "Worm-burner" (groundball specialist), "Whiff-Master" (strike out king), "Same-ses" (master of the LvL or RvR matchup), etc to go with the main archetypes of Flamethrower, Control Specialist, or Plain Filthy. Catchers could have "Master Framer" (better at getting calls just off the edges), "Pitcher Whisperer" (excels at calling games to get the most out of the pitcher), "Field Generalissimo" (controls the basepaths with corralling wayward pitches and gunning down runners). This could go on for each position.
Pitch speeds: top at 103-105!!! Has to happen been years pitchers are throwing over 102mph.
No ratings just mph for pitchers. For example Verlander 93-99mph with 4SFB. Button sensitive or meter based. In the red 97-99 no matter High or low in the zone. Early release or green or yellow 93-95mph.
Pitchers vs LHH hits and HR
Pitchers vs RHH hits and HR ratings
More swing options: only 2 two handed swings. Maybe 3. And 4 one handed swings. No two players have the same swing. All should be able to be edited. Some players swing majority two handed but on very inside pitch they might follow thru one handed. Just way more swings and options to separate players styles.
HR Swings: add multiple no doubt swings for individual players. Also the ability to equip say Mike Trout’s HR swing to Bellinger or vise verse. Everyone that has a signature finish should be able to be equipped to any player. Not just the 20 or 30 generic ones that look so silly and unrealistic. Add 50more realistic HR animations.
    Necklaces and jerseys that move.
Unbuttoned jerseys. Acuna’s necklace, Harper no undershirt unbuttoned.
Able to start Franchise based off real life standings and stats at any point in the season. Say start from Aug. 21 with Belly and Trout w/ 42 bombs and finish season and continue from there. Or at least finish a season if not franchise.
Able to edit SCEA players hair and beards.
Ability to record names of new players.
Better rating system for fielders arm strength. Don’t understand how current ratings work at all. Assists? For example Acuna started season at a 50 arm strength. Now is a 77. But in real life threw 99.1mph the other day. Hicks threw 105 a couple years ago and was in the 80’s. Something is terribly wrong with the stats rating. Make it max MPH. How hard does a 50 rating throw vs a 99 rating? Has to be MPH.
Would love to see arc types like a few requested on previous pages. To make stars stick out more and no two players look or feel the same.
Thanks for your efforts just really hope you guys keep putting time in to the small and realistic details. I’m an old franchise guy and will never ever play the RTTS stuff. I get it but it’s not what I come from and is not realistic. I want real sim and millions do as well. Keep up the good work!

I just got a PS4 and The Show again. I’m casual gamer who only plays a game or two on weekends so career features are irrelevant to me.
I would love to see Sony add more Classic Stadiums especially the Cookie Cutter stadiums of the 70s like Three Rivers, Riverfront, Veterans, Fulton County, and old Busch. Also Tiger Stadium and Old Comiskey Park. Also real Spring Training Stadiums. I’m partial to Florida being from there so some of those would be great.
Also they should take a page from NBA 2K and add Classic Teams too.
For classic Stadiums, Olympic Stadium and Ebbets field for sure. Plus PLEASE put in more classic uniforms including the classic "alternates" (i.e. Pirates Black Yop/Yellow Pants).
Franchise mode needs a general refresh. I almost don't care what they do as long as it's a bit different. Adding relocation or stadium creation would be awesome. More robust roster building (especially with trades - more players and multi-team deals) and player development would also be great. I'd also really like to see players have a bit more personality when it comes to contract negotiations, like simply refusing to re-sign so they can test the market.
They also really need to make it so purchasing a minor league contract puts the guy at the league minimum. It sucks having your top rookies or key call ups be angry because the game still has them making $80k.
I also think that, in generally, player development needs to be less random and retirements should be less pegged to age. It's weird seeing a guy with an 80+ overall and still putting up good stats retire at 34 due to performance because that's when the game decides his position is finished, but a reliever who hasn't played in the majors since before the game was released stick around until 39 and then only retire because of the free agent market.
No idea if this is the proper spot to post this or not, but I’ve wanted this implemented into the game forever. For some reason I just thought it’d happen, but it has not yet, so I figured I’d suggest it.
In CAP/editor for pitchers, I think we should have the option to set both a different wind-up, and stretch motion. Any extra creativity should be welcome to the game. I think batting has a lot of flexibility with the stance creator. I’d like more customization for pitching. Plus I think it’d be great for changing starters who move to the ‘pen and only use their stretch motion now (I’m a big franchise guy). The animations are in the game as is, is it a difficult thing to separate them?
Final thing I’d like to see implemented is the option to select back-up positions. Just make it like a check box instead of set positions (INF, OF, 2B/SS, etc).
Thanks for reading anyone! Hopefully a dev sees this.
    Framerate, Framerate, Framerate
Add ALL major league players names into the vault
    Better pitcher motions
Better minor and spring training stadiums
Ability to edit facial hair and hair on players already in the game
The rest ill be happy to wait until PS5
More classic stadiums, just one Cookie Cutter will do, Riverfront, Three Rivers, The Vet, Old Busch, just 1 of those would make those 1987 rosters useable for me.
With that let us use old style helmets again, I don't know about 19, but on 18 all the players on the 1987 file had new helmets and you could not change it. I think 17 allowed the old helmets.
Most every thing else is covered here, CPU logic needs lots of improvements especially in RTTS, I'd still like to see improvements made to CPU bullpen usage. But really I want to play with 1987 rosters and really feel like its 1987.
    Rethink 'Moments'.
The first - and only - one I tried was the Bautista bat flip moment and the immersion was ruined when I noticed he was surrounded by current Blue Jays players, not the players from the 'moment' he was in.
I get why it is the way it is, but it killed the experience completely.
In franchise, I'd like to see a pitchers breakdown by game for the season in his profile. That data is there, the box scores are all retained and it's a pain to have to find their last few appearances.

I'd like to see more weather types like foggy and mostly cloudy. It would also be nice if one weather type could turn into another weather type as the game progresses. Example, from partly cloudy to overcast. We would of course have the option to manually set up the weather transitions before hand.

How are the black players uniforms garbage as you say? Everybody wears 42 on Jackie Robinson Day, pink on Mothers Day, blue on Fathers Day and American apparel for July 4th, so why not include, you know, what the players wear in real life? I'm not saying your suggestion is bad or wrong or not a top priority, but if a player wears it in real life then it only makes sense for it to be in the game.
I don’t believe the players weekend uniforms are known prior to the release of the game
They are unveiled shortly before players weekend

    12) weather related errors. Struggling to see the ball in a day game for pop ups, slipping in the rain, stuff like that.
    13) handedness ratings for pitchers. Sorely missing as I’m half way through my season in franchise. Some lefties just can’t get out righties and vice versa. Wish lefties torched Ottavino and yet were stymied by Kahnle like in real life.
    14) have to fix contracts. Sanchez is outraged at his contract, and I can’t extend him, so his morale is dragging his ratings down. That blows.
Jerseys ... it’s time for movable cloth physics. I love how this game plays. I can’t get enough. At this point all I want are graphical upgrades. Jerseys, more equipment, Jordan brand is a biggie. I would like some more swing animations as well. I’m a very simple man

I have errors at 10 and wind at 8 and I've seen a few weather related errors. The most noticable one was a guy losing the ball in the sun. Also seen a few on windy days where guys just misjudges the distance and speed. No rain slips though.

I'd like for my team to be able to take batting practice before a franchise game, with the option to skip if you desire. It would be nice to see a mostly empty stadium prior to the game and give me a chance to warm up before I start playing a serious game.
to be able to hit the ball.......because the current hitting dynamics is just......not what it used to be
    ok but in all seriousness
    1. Stop having every CPU pitcher have the ability to masterfully control 4 pitch types. This is simply not realistic and yet in every iteration of this game, the CPU can throw any pitch, anywhere, any count with precision, even on the lowest of difficulties. Doesn't matter if its Verlander/Kershaw, or joe blow AAA pitcher with a 5.00 era
    2. Road To The Show..........im tired of being stuck on bad teams, ok thats realistic, but most of the time these teams just stick with bad players no matter what throughout the season. Im tired of getting my team a big hit, or HR to take the lead, only for the CPU to keep trotting out guys with 6.00 eras late in July to blow the game. Im tired of CPU keeping guys in lineup in august in middle of a pennant race that are hitting .140. Its one thing being on bad teams, but the CPU does NOTHING to address the roster except for all the weird trades that will always happen no matter what. Simply allow an option for roster control even while in RITS. Nothing major, no trades, but atleast let me move guys up and down majors/minors, or let me make a lineup change for OTHER than myself, meaning i can move a few guys around but wherever they have you hit, you have to stay there
    3. Fix..............the outfield...........depth. How many times have we all gotten base hits to the outfield only for the runner who has a 80+ speed on 2nd place to either be thrown out at the plate, or be in a situation where you have to stop at 3rd base no matter what. Why does it always feel like these outfielders play at a ridiculous shallow depth, or they play at the warning track............love that realism :34: A normal base hit to LF or RF and it feels like the OF'ers take 2 steps field the ball and fire it back in
    4. Stolen bases, it seems it got a little better in MLB 19, but maybe stop having the catcher with the matrix ability to catch a pitch then fire from their knees with precision to 2nd base, and your guy with 90+ speed that went on a changeup or curveball gets thrown out by a mile.........thats fun
    5. In all seriousness, the hitting.........fix it. The timing, IMO, is simply broken. Yes you can get hits, yes you can hit some homers (not nearly enough in today's MLB by the way), but way too many times, and i ive had friends say same thing.....be like......"how did i miss?" "where did i miss", and it shows the little box replay of them or me hitting the ball about as perfect you can be and watch the ball sail 20 rows foul every time. Never had this problem with MLB 14 or MLB 16, but i picked up this game and i was like.............what happened?
    1. Ability to move teams to other divisions/league
    2. Relocation as in NBA 2k series
    3. Ability to turn off retired numbers. This just ruins classic rosters especially Yankees
I would love to be able to continue as a manager after retirement and have a road to the show manager edition. Or the ability to buy a team with our salary and have a road to the show franchise edition.
Bring the Kingdome under classic stadiums

wishing for another early pre-release the weekend before the regular release like Show 18

Yes please! The mid week releases means I can’t fully play until the weekend or stop sleeping. But sleep always wins
I was thinking about this the other day ... since rocket bunts are still a thing, how about some sort of modifier for bunts.
Just pressing triangle is a sacrifice. Holding L2 and pressing triangle is bunting for a hit.
I just fired up the game for the first time in several months, and I immediately was reminded of all the reasons I’d stopped playing.
My wish for 2020 is for someone with SDS to ensure franchise mode works as well in season 10 or season 20 as it does in season 1.
Which IMO comes down to three things.
    1. Prospect generation: There are too many cookie-cutter prospects (oh look, yet another 5-8 CF who can’t hit but is a good fielder with elite speed), too many “top” prospects with overall ratings so low they’re useless until they’re nearly 30, too many guys drafted at 24 years old, and in general just little thought seemingly put into the draft.
    2. Player progression: Players take too long to get to the majors, and they often start declining too soon. Yet there is still a glut of players in the 80s overall. When there are two dozen guys sitting in free agency to start the season who would’ve been starters on half the teams on opening day in year one, something isn’t working. Player progression needs to allow all-stars to have extended peaks, C potential utility guys to have a role on some teams, top prospects to crack lineups before they’re mid-20s, etc. There’s far too little roster diversity because progression is messed up.
    3. Team budgets: In part this is probably a problem because progression is messed up and teams pay too much for what should be mediocre players, but budgets as a whole are messed up, and teams are terrible with managing their money. On the rare occasion where I find a trade that makes sense for me and another team, odds are they can’t make it work anyway because they have no money. There are workarounds for this … if you set your franchise to multi-team control or ignore budgets to start off. But if you get far enough in that you don’t want to restart and realize you should’ve used different settings to help with roster workarounds earlier, too bad.
I imagine little will change with franchise mode until the PS5 comes out, but none of these things seem that difficult to me. Especially the first two. Things don’t need a dramatic rewriting of the code. Just tweak a few things, and long-term franchise playability improves a ton.

Doesn't matter if its Verlander/Kershaw, or joe blow AAA pitcher with a 5.00 era

This is huge and not talked about enough. Almost all relievers are two-pitch pitchers, who MAY throw a third every once in a while... Yet most relievers in this game have at least three. Pitchers obviously know how to throw a bunch of different pitches, and can surprise people from time to time to change things up, but there should at least be a "primary" and "secondary" pitch layout so that there are pitches the pitcher are comfortable with and pitches that he's not...
At the very least there should be a scouting report so you can see what the pitcher's tendencies are... Fine, include a changeup in Aroldis Chapman's arsenal, but let the hitter who's walking up know that he only throws it 2% of the time.
Please fix OVERHAUL, outfield/infield convergence plays when there is a pop-up/fly out that is between two players. I want to see guys calling for the ball and proper movement by each player causing near-collisions like in real life. This is MUCH NEEDED

YOOOO i never thought of that! I think that would be really neat tbh. I doubt they will ever do that but i think that would be a really cool idea
SDS will have to make some changes to franchise mode with the new rules (26 man roster, 28 man roster in September, Trade Deadline, etc).
Hopefully this will convince them to make some additions once they have already opened the hood and started making changes.

There are already rules that the game doesn't follow even though they are specifically listed in the game's rule handbook. I don't see them making any changes with underlying rules until PS5 if I'm being honest.
Player and coach etc models are terrible. They are stiff and have no flexibility. They should bend over. Close and open their hands etc. Their hands are stiff and flat. All batters have the same waste to neck. When at the plate they all look square.
Players and managers need to age. Gray hair etc.
Stop getting rid of players from your created roster as soon as the season starts. The CPU optional waivers a ton of players. I create legend team. 10 year contract for them. Yet the CPU gets rid of a ton when spring training is over and you start the season. Says teams have 2 days to pick up the players or theyll be put in AAA. This happens for 10 and more players.
Bring in kingdome. Astro stadium. Old Detroit.
    Bring in hank aaron..
    Mickey mantle.
    Joe DiMaggio.
    Roger Maris.
    Etc.
Babe ruth should be position player.
Get rid of all cut scenes and give us new ones. Same ones from 7 years ago sucks.
Have quick counts be able to be on by default for all games.
Real rain. Changes how the ball goes and so forth.
    1. In franchise mode when you do a fantasy draft can you make it so there’s a logic so a team isn’t going to draft 15 second baseman by only draft one first baseman happens all the time I’m sick and tired of it
    2. Road to the show I hate it when I load it up with a custom roster when the best prospects are gone but yet it keeps guys with D potential who and will never do anything but get rid of guys with A potential’s

Base running overhaul. Would love to see a baserunner with a “aggressive “ rating separate from his base stealing rating.
Need to see baserunners stretching singles into doubles.
Would also like to see “Team baserunning aggressiveness rating”.
And just a tad more batter animation at plate with inside pitches especially...
    1. Eliminate extra inning games in spring training. If the game is tied at the end of 9 innings, it ends in a tie. It doesn't count in the standings but individual and team stats do. This is how it works in real life.
    2. Make the names, attributes, ratings, and appearances of all managers and coaches able to be edited.
    3. Instead of relying on sounds of the show, SDS should let us submit custom sounds to them, and they should introduce them in updates during the season. Save sounds of the show for copyrighted music.
    4. Use schedules from past seasons with each new season and rotate them.
Fix CAP literally anything. NBA 2k20 or wwe 2k20 style
Ability to edit players appearance and even name. Other games allow this.
GO BACK TO THE SHOW LIVE: Exactly how it was in ‘14. You could edit player appearance, stance, windups etc. It was a great mode, and then got ruined. And maybe at the end of it it could load you into franchise, just like March to October.
The cleats this year, especially the Nikes looked pretty bad. Madden has done a great job with their cleats. Maybe follow the model.
Maybe have accurate stance socks for each team.
Player models........ maybe go the madden route with player models. Create a player needs a major overhaul, created players still just don’t look any good. The options, the hair and facial hair and leaves a lot to be desired.
Would love to see the ability to create uniforms in franchise.
Machpro chin guards with reg helmet option.
Add the ability to adjust sleeve length for all players. This was in the game before and was taken out for some reason. Also compression sleeves for pictures, that used to be available but no longer is. Many pictures wear compression shirts when they pitch, Julio Tehran for example.
Continue adding equipment and cleats without removing all of the other stuff. Maybe remove things from the game that are preventing this. Nike catchers equipment would be nice, Jordan gear would be great.
I would love the ability to set uniform options and equipment colors based on home or away uniforms.
    Custom draft classes.
Make it so we don't constantly lose our jersey number to other players in Road to The Show. It's crazy that this continues to be in the game, year after year.
Give me an opportunity to play a 14-29-58 game season and have it actually work...
I think franchise loses a lot of people because of the obvious: 162 games. I'd love to run a 5+ year dynasty so I can actually make team moves, watch prospects rise & fall, and experience winning & losing seasons. They used to have the option for 14, not sure if they still do since I do not have '19, but it was wonky as heck since the AL MVP would be some rando 4th back in the rotation pitcher who had two good outings and less than 15 K's...

Add manual injuries to RTTS, in case I want to have a return from injury narrative.
Maybe this could be unlocked after you reach a certain overall (90ish), so that way the player isn’t manipulating the game to injure everyone at their position to get to the big leagues.

I really hope we get better color editing options in 2020. Items that are tied to team 1, 2, and 3 colors are aggravating to say the least because they change on the actual item depending which uniform you wear. Also, the amount of color options are weak. Give us a custom palette with hex codes or something or just give us a list of all the colors that the real teams use. Separate color schemes for equipment items for different uniforms would be ideal though.

I think if FIFA, NBA, and NHL can do it, any game can do it somehow. How about at least national sponsors on the stadium ad boards and behind home plate. It’s boring to see generic ads around the stadium.

Generic ads don't bother me, what does bother me is the fact that the game has MLB The Show ads and logos plastered everywhere as if I'm not aware of what game I'm playing. That's obnoxious.
Agreed to get rid of Heidi 19, maybe replace it with what 2K does and have interviews during the loading screen, have the real Heidi talking to players pre game instead of the non flattering CG version during the game.
Agreed the Heidi stuff was awful!!! Need two-way player with Ohtani and maybe others like McKay. Shorten the waiver claim to one day.. Jordan catcher gear if possible. Splits for pitchers vs hitters. Two pitch minimum for those several relief pitchers who only throw 2 pitches. 3 man rotation for teams that use openers, mainly in playoffs. The 5 man rotation is slowly being a thing in past.
I want to be able to select sleeve color, cleat color, and other accessories color when selecting a uniform. Like what NBA 2K20 did with choosing a uniform, you can pick what sleeves, headband, and shoe color to be worn.
Playoff game start times need to be altered. Aesthetically, there's no difference between an 8:05 game in New York vs. a 7:05 game in Chicago, but when you start going west, that's when things change. I just got done with a grueling 7-game series against the Dodgers, and those games should have started at 5:05, and now that I'm in the World Series against Oakland, same thing should apply.
Also, we should have 4:05 games in the division series. Memories brought back include the 2015 NLDS where Baez and Schwarber went deep. I think games 1,3,and 4 all had late-afternoon start times. And who could forget that classic between Mike Mussina and Orel Hershiser, I think in the 1997 ALDS?
