  1. "Large majority" of the minor leaguers have their audio and equipment.
That's a BIG name audio database increase if that's the case.
26 man rosters - they haven't said it yet but it displays in the roster screen behind them. MLB, AAA, and AA. 12 A players listed, but I don't know if that's a maximum.
I thought it was really cool that they gave a shoutout to Knight. For someone who has been using OSFM for many many years, some of the newer people may not realize that Knight was the original OSFM contributor before Ridin came along and teamed up with him and eventually took over the project altogether. Not sure where Knight eventually went, but really cool they gave him a shoutout at the beginning before giving big props to Ridin.

so you do have to play one season before you rebrand?

No, I think it's just that there's multiple options, so you can do it in offseason as well as start of it.

I can’t watch have they said anything about stadiums

I guess MLB finally threw their precious style guide away.

    What makes you say that?
Sorry - can't watch until I get home from work, so I'm anxiously following this thread for details!
As we speculated based on a previous screenshot, every MLB team can be rebranded at league creation. Fictional league players rejoice!
No create a stadium, and seemingly no new ones added either, except the new Texas one (which they could not show). It's clearly a pain point for the team trying to allow more creativity into Franchise.

because you can alter the uniforms for franchise in a way that previously was against the style guide.
Re-branding is the only new feature or tweak to franchise mode, besides them adding in the new MLB rules. The re-branding is kind of just new uniforms and that's it (aka you're mostly stuck using stadiums with other team branding all over it) and while the full minors rosters on Day 1 is nice, it's something that was already in the game via people here.
Less than 15 minutes total on Franchise mode. Yikes. So much for everyone getting way excited about all the relocation and stuff. The fact that it's literally just a jersey re-brand is pretty meh to me. This does make fictional rosters way more enticing, however.
Im really concerned with loosing current roster slots that we have in '19 for retro uni's and such?
With NIKE taking over and this customization it seems like we may actually be limited in uni slots in this years game.
Happy to see new rules implemented. Really disappointed to lack of discussion of ai tweaks.
Nothing with budgets, drafts, retirements, trade, free agency, progression/regression.
The rosters are nice, but something we essentially had a few weeks after release anyway.

Disappointed they didn't add anything to franchise. OSFM being in game day one is cool though, but really isn't a change to franchise.
The one thing I really wanted to know was how they pulled off full minors from a licensing standpoint. I don't understand, since there isn't an MiLB players union, how they got the rights to 1500 different minor league players.

It's not like they had to go and meet with each player individually. They probably offered a blanket compensation package for using the likeness of any MiLB player and potentially just had the organizations distribute the forms and the players then just had to accept/decline by a date and then the organizations got the info back to the devs.
I like how they implemented rebranding. Pretty realistic to have it only available in the offseason, because that’s when any rebranding takes place.
The guy next to Ramone(Matt?) seemed to imply at the end that this is just the start for the feature. I bet they’re finally doing create a stadium next year on PS5.

    10 minutes on Franchise.
    Level A at 12 players.
Only one Home & one Away uniform.
    No new stadiums.
Ok I'll stop there and go for walk.

You missed your chance to do the ArthurFist.gif
Ugh, meat and bones went untouched.
What they showed was cool. But I likely won't touch it until a true create a stadium/expansion is added.
Basically If you used OSFM already, have no reason to touch rebranding. Then the Show 20 Franchise mode is identical to The Show 19.

The ol wait til next year. People have been uttering that for 6 years
Unbelievable. Not even new stadiums to go with relocation. Basically just transferring editors that are already in DD and updating MLB rules in Franchise Mode. Put the least effort into franchise improvements as possible.

I wonder how they compensated people? I mean at the clip of 1500 players, I'm surprised they were able to buy all those folks off. Even if they only offered $1000 a player is 1.5 million just to buy the rights to the roster. Now maybe it was less, since a lot of these guys are scraping by, but many top draft picks are already millionaires, so I can't see them giving up their likeness for like $100.
The whole process of how they did this is fascinating to me.

I think the least effort would have been no changes, but I get it.
Pretty underwhelmed tbh, no talk of anything that will actually change the everyday grind of the mode. Nice enough to be able to change the name of the team etc if you want and getting osfm rosters a bit early is a nice time save(100 new face scans is nice), but then once I've got past that, what's changed in the actual mode?
It takes hundreds of hours to play a full season, but it sounds like that will be essentially exactly the same as previous years. That needs freshening up each year, you can't just leave everything the same for years on end
I really wish they would open up sliders and values for everything like 2k. Then can adjust trade value, player asking prices for contracts, team roster building strategies, progression/regression and retirement.
Then at least the user could adjust ai to meet thier needs.

the letter ShowTyme posted elsewhere seemed to imply MiLB'ers weren't compensated at all.
Neat that there is clubhouse chemistry, completely stupid that your friends play better if you are on base. Or field better if you are on the field. Completely silly.

Wow. That's insane. I can't believe their agents allowed that.
People saying this is just the start and they will build on this - what has SDS shown you that says that? They've spent the last like 5 years putting all their energy into Road to the Show and Diamond Dynasty and last year they implemented March to October, which seems like it will get more of their attention moving forward. I get why they do it, so my expectations were pretty low this year and once they showed that re-branding was a new feature I knew it would end up disappointing.
Anytime they've added something to franchise mode it's been kinda half-done or full of oversights and errors that never get fixed. Last year they championed how real contracts were in the game, but in franchise mode the contracts and salaries as years went on weren't tweaked much at all. Scouting is the same it's been for years. Coaching staffs are basically meaningless.
Remember when their new feature for franchise mode was a revamped UI? This dev team doesn't want to spend any resources on the mode, and I don't see why that would change for PS5. I like this new re-branding mode but nothing tells me that they will actually build on it and get even to a level of Madden where you have basic relocation, let alone a level of NHL/NBA where you can customize literally everything.

yeah, I think 90% of minor leaguers have very little bargaining power. or the great majority just want to at least be immortalised in a video game. and also probably figure their big payday will come if they reach the majors.
    bjthomas121
    Haha minor leaguers having agents....

Literally in the stream they mentioned Bohm and Moniak being in the studio, and one of their agents was with them. I can't imagine some of the highest ranked prospects in baseball don't have agents.
While all of this sounds interesting. I am not sold enough for a day 1 pickup.
'19 is the best its ever been and I think I will stick with it, until a price drop or more information comes out that changes my mind. I certainly wont purchase until someone on OS does a video showing each teams uniforms for this years games. I have a sinking feeling that a lot of extra's have been taken out this year.

I'll probably also go wth Devil Rays, but I started following MLB in 1982 so most of the teams are where and who I know them as. I guess I'll also leave the Nationals in D.C. except in classic historic rosters.

I do wish for more for franchise, but rebranding looked awesome and full minors day one is a major win. I always hated waiting for OSFM and said I wasn’t buying day one this year, will actually buy the deluxe to play early now.

Did anyone catch the budgets that displayed at the team select screen? They looked accurate and it was something I dont remember seeing last year

    Here is the DBax.
    Pads were - 169M
    Dodgers - 199M (probably pre-trade)
    Rockies - 192M
    Cards - 180M
    Pirates - 78.5M
    Brewers - 136M
    Reds - 172M
    Cubs - 217M
    Phillies - 225M

I haven’t watched the stream yet, what makes you think they’ll remove jerseys?
No additional roster slots is disappointing but again I set myself up for that.
Rebranding looks cool but nothing I’m interested in
Real minor leaguers is great so no one has to wait to start their franchise but again doesn’t appeal to me as I did my own rosters in ‘16 and have added international prospects and free agents along with draft classes.
The gameplay changes have sold me on upgrading as do the new rules but to say I’m not disappointed would be a lie

    Just a feeling.
But when you "Re Brand" a team you only have the option for a Home and an Away Uni.
I am more concerned with NIKE taking over the UNI's and just have a feeling it is not going to end well.

I’d be surprised if they do since they’ve shown throwbacks in the promotion of the game.
Also when Nike took over for the NFL, Madden didn’t remove any throwbacks. They just remove the adidas logo or whoever the maker was.
One last hope to save my blood pressure :D is if we can import a player in an existing franchise. We probably won't find out until we get access to the game but that little feature would let us swap players from the A level and kind of bypass that 12 players limit.

I would doubt an existing franchise, but obviously before you start one it will be an option.
Anyway, I get the disappointment, I just don't feel as disappointed because it's not like they lied or baited peeps. They pretty much delivered what they said they would -- for better or worse. If you had hopes and dreams, I don't blame you for having them, just as long as we can also agree they weren't really based on anything.

Rosters do seem to still be 90. 26 for MLB, AAA and AA. 12 for A.

It's fine.. I am ok with it, at least 15 guys are just not sitting there in A doing nothing now. only 12 are
I will say that I feel a bit hollow after watching the stream. I blinked and the franchise coverage was over.
Rebranding seems fine, but they seemed to use the words rebrand and relocate interchangeably. If you can't create new stadiums, to champion the inclusion of audio for 12/13 new cities is silly if I'm still in the original stadium. I'm also curious if rebranded/relocated teams can be placed in different divisions or leagues. Again, if I can't realign the divisions, there is no proper relocation.
The only caveat I will give regarding franchise is that if other things were updated, they didn't talk about them. That bothers me more because now, we will have to do the digging ourselves, in order to defend them for how much, or how little was put into franchise.
I want to say there were tweaks to AI, contracts, scouting and roster logic, but I can't because they didn't talk about those things. So, I'm feeling hollow.
It feels as if they added less to franchise than last year since the rebranding was repurposed from DD, but I want to be proven wrong.

agreed. while I'm always hoping for a gigantic franchise update that we all want, the rebranding option along with the new rules and animations will suffice for now. Oakland, Miami and Tampa will be moved!!!

The rebranding/relocation addition and full minor league rosters have me sold. I waited until mid-season last year but I think I'll be pre-ordering now.

I didn’t buy 19 until later in the season as well. But I reserved my copy earlier today. Just more excited in general for it this year.
Loved the shout out to the OG of Full Minors... Knight. Awesome that Ridin was able to partner with SCEA... wondering if the partnership with MLB to produce across all systems helped make this possible?
I'm not sure the point of rebranding, unless you keep the team nickname, since the stadium will still have that team nickname on it. Like you cant change the Marlins to the sharks, because Marlins will still be on the stadium. Unless you just use one of the generic stadiums with no team name on it. And what fun is that, Am I wrong?
I wonder if export team.. if that means we could export teams from last year and import them into a franchise?? because we would have to export 1500 players to do it manually in the past but if you can do it only 30 times for lets say classic teams would that work that way?
    ninertravel

Export team doesn't include players I am pretty sure.
As somebody who starts fresh with default rosters every year, real minor leaguers is all it took to get me to pre-order. I'm still hoping for three more things:

    • Rotating interleague schedules
    • Less clunky budget system
    • Real postseason roster rules

I highly doubt the first two are in, but I'm hoping they fixed the postseason roster issue with the other rules updates. You shouldn't have to set your postseason roster on Sept. 1.
Saw someone post regarding chemistry. Players should not excel because their friend is on the field. Would we be able to turn this off? I want the ratings/me executing my task doing all the talking.

Why should they not excel? I'm just curious bc I grew up playing baseball, and there were some guys on my teams that I had more chemistry with on the field and it made me a better player because of it. So I for one, truly believe that playing with certain people can make you a better player.

In my opinion seems silly for MLB. Some may like it, no doubt but would like this to be turned off. Ozzie smith played with one solid 2B and the rest were meh or below average and dude was still a wizard out there.

Ok so all it does is import the colours logos etc

Yes it only changes the appearance of the team, not the players on the team, even when exporting a custom team in at the beginning of franchises.

Me too. I like what I've seen overall, and the rebranding/relocation thing looks like it could be fun.
That being said, I didn't have a ton of expectations going in about what they were going to do with franchise mode so maybe that's part of it. Either way, I probably won't be waiting until June or July to buy like I did last year.

I thought they explained how it works pretty well, too. The "boosts" are because the other player is actually tangibly helping your RTTS out in-game, it's not like magic "BFF POWER" or something (at least that's how I read it). Like, because you're close he knows your tendencies on defense and can pick your throws, or he helps you with extra BP or drills.

Yes, that's exactly how I took it as well. The more you play with someone in the field, the more you know their tendencies, and can anticipate each other's moves. Same applies to pitchers and catchers. There are pitchers in the majors that have a specific catcher that they throw to bc they're more comfortable and pitch better with them.

It seemed kinda gimmicky to me, but team chemistry is important (and difficult to translate to a video game).
If I played RTTS, I wouldn't mind it being more of a passive boost/decrease based on overall team performance, like it is handled in franchise mode.

I have never understood the logic when people say “they are doing nothing”. In single A your players are improving incrementally without any risk of regression. Perfect for those good potential low overall guys. If you treat it like a development league it’s actually quite useful

I grew up 10 minutes from the Big A. As a life long angels fan I have zero issues with this lol. I always liked them as the California Angels better. Also, their mid 90’s California Angels uniforms were my favorite iteration of their uniforms ever, so hopefully someone uploads a good set in the vault
Well, I was starting to get close to thinking about, considering, maybe possibly pre-ordering. But with nothing really changing with the core of Franchise mode, I'll probably just stick with 19 until 20 is on sale this summer.
The game looks good though, if I were still a die-hard Show player like I used to be, it would be a day 1 buy for sure. Full Minors is nice and re-branding/custom team is cool but not the actual relocation I was hoping for.

where are the expanded replay challenges. i would like to challenge more plays that at first base

I remember finding some good CA logos from the mid 90's on the vault for last years game, so by default I think they should be there this year with the vault coming over.
The fact SDS flew out ridin says a lot. They would not of spent the time or money if they were trying to kill franchise mode. They said this years rebrand will be the foundation to build upon for years to come. I think there is no longer a debate if we will eventually be able to have expansion teams or move teams to new cities and new stadiums. It just may not happen as fast as people want.

Was looking at the rosters shown in that stream vs. Ridin's end of season rosters from last year - it seems like many guys have been knocked down a potential grade or two. This tells me that Ridin's team probably had input/guidance from SDS on how the potentials mesh with their simulation/progression systems. In other words, although it's still the same team making them, these rosters should fit into Franchise for the long-term better than they did previously IMO. If that truly ends up being the case, then it's enough for me to consider the full minor league rosters as a "new feature".
And, as I mentioned in my last post, having the audio PBP calls for most of these players is a HUGE add for me. It might seem petty, but the reason I didn't use OSFM in franchises was because hearing "Number so-and-so" for players with uncommon names that weren't in the database is an immersion-crusher for me, once those guys make it to the big leagues. At least with the fake, generated players it actually said all of their names (since it pulls them from the database).
Let's hope there's under the hood stuff that was tweaked that wasn't sexy enough to talk about in stream, because if getting rosters day 1 instead of having to wait a couple weeks and the DD uniform and renaming editor are the "major" additions.....damn.
Also, I'm a little confused on rebranding/renaming, if I change Tampa Bay to the Montreal Expos and create/download new uni's, please tell me I'm not stuck playing in Tampa's stadium with Tampa logo's.
I'm excited for 20, but this stream was a massive disappointment.
I thought about it today, and if I'm really honest with myself, I actually am happy with the improvements they've made to Franchise in the PS4 era. My issue comes from the fact that it was all stuff that I didn't know that I wanted.
Quick manage, front page, contract extensions. I was disappointed when all three were announced, but you can pry them from my cold dead hands now. Only morale was a swing and a miss (really wish I could turn that off).
But what about the stuff I know I want? What about the stuff we here on OS have been clamoring for ages for? We finally get relocation and it's the most basic implementation imaginable. The only surprise there is that you can rebrand a currently running franchise. Except you can only rebrand your own team, you have to completely rebrand it (no new alternates only) with only a home and away outfit, and you can't use existing team logos so even if you manage to find a perfect replica of your team in the vault, no 3D image on caps and helmets.
If this is a foundation, a base on which to improve in future iterations, then I approve. If this is all we ever get, then I wish SDS hadn't of bothered, and instead spent the resources fixes some of the very real issues in franchise.

Don't forget the Boston Braves, St. Louis Browns, Washington Senators, Montreal Expos, New York Giants, Brooklyn Dodgers, Philadelphia Athletics, Houston Colt 45s, Seattle Pilots, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Cincinnati Redlegs and New York Highlanders.

    man after my own heart!
but can you change the leagues where I can do 8 team leagues like the old days and winner automatically goes to the WS?
    TheWarmWind
I'm excited for 20, but this stream was a massive disappointment.
I thought about it today, and if I'm really honest with myself, I actually am happy with the improvements they've made to Franchise in the PS4 era. My issue comes from the fact that it was all stuff that I didn't know that I wanted.
Quick manage, front page, contract extensions. I was disappointing when all three were announced, but you can pry them from my cold dead hands now.
Except you can only rebrand your own team, you have to completely rebrand it (no new alternates only) with only a home and away outfit, and you can't use existing team logos so even if you
manage to find a perfect replica of your team in the vault, no 3D image on caps and helmets.

I do agree with a lot of what you said, however the roster thing isn't just a 2 week wait. because they have recorded audio for the players something that could never have been added with rosters before. no more 'number 28 comes out to bat'
    Grey_Osprey
Let's hope there's under the hood stuff that was tweaked that wasn't sexy enough to talk about in stream, because if getting rosters day 1 instead of having to wait a couple weeks and the DD uniform and renaming editor are the "major" additions.....damn.
Also, I'm a little confused on rebranding/renaming, if I change Tampa Bay to the Montreal Expos and create/download new uni's, please tell me I'm not stuck playing in Tampa's stadium with Tampa logo's.
Unless you choose a different stadium that’s already been in the game then yeah you would be stuck at the Trop with the Rays real life logo’s still on it. That’s the big reason why some people (including me) are unhappy with it. All we get to choose from is the real life MLB stadiums with that team’s logo’s still on it, the classic stadiums, the same 1 or two spring training stadiums, and the same minor league stadiums.

Can I ask why you want this? Just purely for realism or is there another reason? Would you be just as happy if they just got all the calls right, instead?

I cant speak for why he would want the challenge system expanded but id like to say that i do as well becuase it is part of the game..i myself would not be as happy if all of the calls were just called right. My thoughts are that i would like to experience a chance to challenge more plays like in real life. i feel it should be given as much as a chance to be put into a video game as all of the different color wristbands the players wear. On a sidenote id trade a expanded challenge system to just having them work on the darn bullpen managment logic..or even just add a RP hook...anything

This is sounding like a great idea for a dream Fictional League. I’ve already picked my team the Chicago White Stockings playing at Wrigley.

In my opinion seems silly for MLB. Some may like it, no doubt but would like this to be turned off. Ozzie smith played with one solid 2B and the rest were meh or below average and dude was still a wizard out there.

I mean, it is a RTTS feature and if I remember correctly from the little I played you could try and purposefully not make friends.

Fair enough, thanks for giving an opinion even if you weren't the originator. I think you got at what I was sort of thinking, where I'm not against it but it's not exactly high in my priority list.

did they say you can change the # of games in franchise like you could in season? probably not but wanted to check.

    Nope, no mention of that

Agreed there should be a toggle for those players who don't like it. But 100% the players around you and your relationships with them affect how you play in real life. Even at a professional level it would - for some players more than others. But the increments in the game are small it appears.
Two RTTS things in the stream that caught my eye:
  2. Successful boss battles are rewarded with an item. I disagree with this. I think this is where additional cap increase opportunities should come into play. It is a big learning experience so your (eg PWR-L or PVIS) cap goes up if you are successful. Item rewards aren't relevant to challenges.
  3. Milestones are going to be mentioned in-game. Give us a shelf in the player card screen with the balls/bats etc for the milestones that we can browse for nostalgia's sake. This can then potentially be carried over into Franchise/M2O/DD as well.
  4. Anyone want to take a guess as to what the 12 Easter Egg cities are for relocating/rebranding ?
    Gotta think Montreal is one

I'm disappointed with the lack of focus on Franchise, especially the budgeting/trade logic/team building aspect. Full minors is a huge step, and frankly they could have just left Custom Teams out and it would at least be a step towards realism in Franchise, especially if progression logic is inline with the propects.
Custom teams "relocation" is basically just adding the DD GUI into Franchise, why couldn't they have done the same with relationships and had that effect morale?
Also, well Full Minors can be described as a Franchise add, it's frankly another DD play as it opens up the roster of available players/cards/whatever.
I'm getting the game Day 1 because of Full Minors and the gameplay changes, also the addition of branding in the stadiums is a nice move. I'm semi-holding out hope that they made some Front Office changes in March to October that actually work, and I'll relinquish my 30 team control in favor of that mode, maybe......

Yes and customized teams will make historic rosters more fun to play with.
Question: can we only rename Nats to Expos without creating new uniforms ? I guess not ...it's the full DD package or nothing

Yes, but with the small amount of classic stadiums and still no create a stadium, I just can't stay immersed in the classic rosters.
Like I say every year, maybe next year.
Like most Im disappointed there isnt any generic Stadiums. They shouldve made at least 1 for every city you move to go with that cities year round climate. But at the sametime they are finally listening and its a step in the right direction. Year 1 on PS5 now looks a tad brighter than it did 2 days ago for us Franchise users!

BUT(!) is it too soon to start the 2021 Franchise wishlist? Or 2022wishlist? Maybe if we start it now, they’ll have enough time to figure out what we want and find a way to implement it. Trade Logic, trade slots, roster slots and Non-roster spring training invites are the tip of the iceberg. We’ll save more details for a rainy deal.

The roster stuff is huge for many, and I'm happy for them. But for me personally, it's useless.
I'm going to keep playing my 2014 carry over as long as I can, and if I ever were to start a new franchise, I'd seriously consider going fictional roster. I don't let real life biases impact my perception of the players, I can edit things like equipment and their beard between seasons to mix things up, and I never have to worry about them retiring IRL and suddenly changing in game.

Was it confirmed if we rebrand a team and use one of the 30 MLB Stadiums, the new rebranded logo WILL NOT display in the stadium?

I could be wrong but I feel like those are more like changing of the graphics that could change. but the stadium nickname, like the team nickname that is actually ON the stadium wouldn't change. Unless you used a stadium that didn't have a team nickname anywhere on it.

I'm far too attached to the players I developed in my fictional universe to give up on them.
I can imagine myself starting a new franchise some day, but I would miss players like Jose Lozano, my 2014 1rst round pick and current ace, or 2B Jeremy Funk, a guy who I played against once when he first broke out into the league and I knew immediately that I needed him on my team. Traded for him the next day and never once regretted the decision.
My whole team is chock full of players like that, and the thought of not getting to play them again is an unpleasant one to say the least.

I think the biggest issues are the meshes. Such as the big bird for the Orioles in centerfield.. the huge PHILLIES wordmark in left field, etc. These would be very very difficult to dynamically remove.
Incredibly disappointed. No AI fixes, but 50 new bat skins, no budget fixes but they have every shape for relocation imaginable. No point in buying 20 for franchise again. But glad they added over 30 bat slams!!!
I wonder what these developers do each year. They dont fix any AI franchise issues, added a half baked relocation. Had OTHERS add in minor leaguers. Added little to nothing new to RTTS, didnt fix budgets, didnt fix jersey number issues, but they added 50 NEW BAT SLAMS WHOA. Seems they fixed no notable gameplay improvements but added over 1,000 new animations yippee!!! Imagine "working year round" and only having a 40 minute presentation!

    2) old school jerseys and historical ballparks so I can have endless fun & immersion in the great historical rosters

I am puzzled too, but I will say the gameplay fixes they made this year actually look quite solid.
I'm usually pleased with the changes made to gameplay, year in and year out. If they hadn't improved gameplay as substantially as it appears, I may have stuck with 19.

I pre-order MLB early every year because of this very thing....gameplay. Since I play every pitch of every game, I probably spend 90% of my franchise time playing the games. So, every year, I get a significant improvement on 90% of my play time in the mode. For a game I literally spend close to 1000 hrs per year on, that's well-worth the money for me.

My assumption would be if you only have so many people working on a project, you can also only have so many people doing tasks for new content in the older game while working on features etc. for the new game. When you have a "live" team that's usually people who are updating the card modes, so you would probably need to hire more peeps and designate more to that sort of stuff.

I remember finding some good CA logos from the mid 90's on the vault for last years game, so by default I think they should be there this year with the vault coming over.

Is the same vault coming over from 2019? I hope so. I'd like to find some logos that were in the 2019 vault and not have to wait until the person re-creates the logo and try to make it myself.

Question.. Are we going to have the ability to create teams outside of franchise with custom rosters so that were able to share them in the vault? It would be disppointing to say the least if we can use them in franchise, but unable to download/upload classic teams/uniforms.. I'll be doing the world baseball classic and replacing the major league teams with wbc teams and plan on downloading logos in the vault. I'd like to share this roster in the vault with every teams uniforms.

Plus, real minor leaguers will have player IDs meaning updates to the face scans, stances/deliveries, etc will apply to new MLB20 franchise saves that we carryover to future editions... Assuming that survives the console jump.

I mean as long as they submitted that stuff in MLB The Show 19 by a certain date, like they put their stuff in the vault by then. So if you were using stuff already in the vault in '19, chances are it was in before the date because I think it was just the first week of February when Sony said they wouldn't transfer anything else to 20's vault.
    mlbtheshowgamer
Or do I have to create my own classic uniforms ? Ie expos and Brooklyn ?*

You can DL those jerseys from the vault since I'm sure someone has already created them or will be creating them.
    mlbtheshowgamer
So they didn’t say anything about a uniform vault ?

Oh I see what you mean now, like all the presets etc. being done. Yeah I dunno, there's a Uniforms option within franchise mode and you can export it from there, but I dunno if you can then upload that exact uniform or not to the vault. I feel like it's an easy win, but yeah maybe it will still just be logos and such like before.
One thing I didn’t notice in the video and haven’t seen asked: For rebranded teams, do we also get to rebrand the minor leagues? Or do those stay the same for the MLB team we started with?
I don’t mind the rebrand option as it was presented, but I’d probably have the most fun with it if I could choose to ONLY rebrand my AA and/or AAA teams.
What they showed only looked like MLB edits. I’d feel weird using a wacky MLB team/logo, and the stadium issues many have highlighted would be a killer for me. But with minor league teams, I feel like you could get pretty crazy with the names/logos without losing any authentic feel, and the stadium issues would be moot.

I wonder whether you can just rebrand one thing, without having to change everything? Can I just change a team name, without having to lose all my uniforms and use terrible created DD ones? Can I just change the Tampa Bay Rays back to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, without anything else changing? Or whether going into the rebrand puts everything in DD team editor mode, as that would suck

yeah, I'm not truly interested in relocation as just reverting to previous names i.e. Florida Marlins, California Angels, so I hope you don't have to go all in and change everything once you start the rebrand but can change only what you want and leave the rest unchanged.

Yeah, as someone who has played a fairly large amount of DD, I can confidently state I really want as few DD style uniforms in franchise as possible! Especially as there is no uniform vault, it genuinely takes an incredibly long time to use the very clunky logo and uniform editors to get something resembling a professional looking uniform, so I'd rather just use the perfect flashback ones already in the game.

The first part is not entirely accurate as many contracts and player options were not included. Furthermore, the second part is exactly what I was referencing when I said “what about the money”. Budget and player valuations should be consistent in franchise mode. Smaller cities with lower budgets, deficit spending after winning, etc. That’s part of the beauty of baseball. If folks don’t like it they can always turn budgets off.
I just hope there is a large upgrade with detail in player walk ups, stadium sounds and presentation, to make the game feel more realistic. A ton of detail is left out of spots games with presentation or lack of. If your a real sports fan you know what I’m saying.
I'm probably the only person who will even care about this but I hope SDS takes the time to get proper roster foundation information (year signed, year/round drafted, team traded from, etc.) for every player in the game. Each year I try and do as many of these as I can for my teams and the top prospects. It's a very minor detail but adds another level of realism and appeases my OCD lol
Has it been confirmed that if we rebrand we lose all default uniforms? Like if I rebrand the Rangers, will I only have my 2 created uniforms to use? Or will it be like NBA 2K where on the home and away are changed but you can still select all of the alternate uniforms freely?

It hasn't been confirmed, it's just the assumption we're under.
What kind of forumula do they use to decide the minor leaguer's ratings? I think overall the top players (arenado, chapman, trout, bregman etc.) They have really accurate ratings for defense and things like that, but with the utility players they do a poor job. They are basically rated low across the board. some guys can't hit at all, but have a good glove or speed in real life, whereas in The Show the utility guys are basically terrible at everything.. I'd like to see them spend more time on rating those types of players to make it more realistic. Now with real minor leaguers I'm hoping they do this as well.

Anyone know if we can just simply change a team's stadium? I don't want to relocate anyone, I would just like to put the Rays in a better stadium than that dump they've been in.

Yes you can choose any stadium in the game.
Have you ever even been to Tropicana Field before? It's far from a dump. Don't just call it a dump because it's the "cool" thing to do.

strictly speaking Show-wise, compared to at least 25 other MLB stadiums, the Trop just doesn't measure up. the Trop (in the Show) is the last stadium I'd pick to play my home games in. don't get me wrong, SDS makes it as absolutely beautiful as can be, and I'd be less inclined to disparage if I could blow the roof off and let some light shine in. the fact you can play in Oakland Coliseum under God's sun the way he intended is the only reason I rank it ahead of the Trop. I bet if Tampa added a retractable roof to the Trop, that would put a stop to the Montreal talk. I know it rains a lot in Tampa but they only need about 20 games under the sun (or moonlight) to get a better attendance turnout IMO. in conclusion, the Trop is better suited for the NBA, or concerts, or even being a warehouse storage facility than an Elysian field.

I've been to the Trop...definitely wouldn't call it nice.

I actually like the Trop ion the Show as a) no god awful wind mechanics that make a 5mph wind act like a hurricane; b) no god awful sun glare/shadows at certain times of the day that make it almost impossible to see while hitting; and c) Good batter eye unlike 2 or 3 stadiums (Seattle, Boston iirc) that make certain pitchers arm slot come out of the crowd. It's pretty drab in the game, but at least it plays well

Awww man, nice try... yes I have been there. Numerous times. In fact lived 10 minutes away. My dad helped build it. It's a dump, he built it and he agreed, shut up and move along.

You feel like a dumb *** because you didn't think I knew a damn thing about the place. Because you thought I was just making my comment to sound "cool" as you said. You came off looking like a clown when I corrected your assumption, it's cool man, take the embarrassment and be on with your night.

Anyone curious to watch the March to October stream in hopes there is something in regards to "under the hood" changes, that carries into franchise mode as well?
I'm not banking on it, but I'm hopeful.
