Speed is a highly important aspect that dictates the battlefield in Pokémon Champions. As it is one of the most important factors in winning a match, there’s a lot of depth behind this simple stat. This is all due to the game’s stat point system, natures, and insane multipliers from weather abilities (Sand Rush, Chlorophyll, Swift Swim). Setups like Dragon Dance or Shell Smash, and Mega Evolutions also translate to massive speed gains. While damage is relatively straightforward, speed can be a bit more complex.
This tier list highlights the most impactful Pokémon, each representing key speed archetypes in the ongoing meta. You’d be surprised to see some of the names that pop up on this list, because a Pokémon with a low base Speed can instantly become one of the fastest when conditions are in favor. Some of them even defy the meta. We won’t be extensively covering every single Pokémon, but those that particularly stand out (or perform poorly) when it comes to speed.
S Tier

These are the demons that reach the highest final speeds when enabled and can dominate entire games.
Excadrill
With a base speed of 88, doubled in sandstorm, it stands as the fastest Pokémon in Pokémon Champions. Having a powerful Ground/Steel STAB, Excadrill becomes a horrifying sweeper or lead when sand is active. However, without sand, its speed drops to around 140, making weather control necessary.
Venusaur
An average 80 speed Pokémon transformed into an absolute beast by Sun and Tailwind support. Similar Chlorophyll users, like some Dragonite or Meganium Variants, turn into devastating special setup sweepers or instant threats under the right weather.
A Tier

These might not be the best of the best, but they can make you gain an upper hand when their conditions are met.
Basculegion
A Pokémon with a base 78 speed that is widely boosted in rain. Additionally, Shell Smash adds even more power, turning this Water/Ghost into an essential late-game cleaner when rain is up.
Sylveon
This low-base Speed Fairy can shockingly outspeed many Megas and exert strong special Fairy pressure or support before opponents even have the chance to move. When not boosted, it sits at around 60 Speed, which is why it requires tailored weather or Tailwind teams to excel, instead of being consistent.
Mega Garchomp (Boosted)
A Pokémon you’d be shocked to see so high up due to its brilliant bulk and Dragon/Ground power. With base 151+, if you give it a +1 boost (Dragon Dance or similar), it hits a Speed of 223. This makes Garchomp have terrifying sweeping potential.
B Tier

These are the Pokémon that stand in the middle of the list, defining the core high-speed meta without heavy reliance on weather conditions.
Mega Aerodactyl
The Rock/Flying typing paired with Tough Claws allows it to punish switches and destroy defensive cores before the opponent can even react. It has a base Speed of 150+ and reaches 222, tying with Mega Alakazam.
Dragapult
This Pokémon is a staple for Ghost/Dragon, excelling at scouting, revenge killing, and exerting constant pressure. Dragapult does all this offensive work, all while staying tough to revenge. It can hit up to 213 Speed, although being a base of 142.
C Tier

These are the characters that need the support of their teams to perform well, but when they do perform, they are highly reliable.
Mega Greninja
Although it matches the speed of Dragapult, the reason for its being ranked lower is the need for team support. Protean adaptability lets it hit efficiently while moving against most standard enemies.
Mega Lopunny
Lopunny also ties with Mega Manectric in the Speed stat, having a base of 135 and being boosted to 205. Explosive physical power and Fake Out utility in doubles help you to maintain your momentum and punish overextensions.
F Tier

These Pokémon have terribly inconsistent and low raw speed, and almost all the time need specific support, heavy setup, or boosts to excel. Speed is not their strong suit, but they do shine in other aspects.
Torkoal
With a dreadful base Speed of 20, Torkoal is a bulky Fire-type with Drought that sets permanent sun. Fortunately for those who have to use this Pokémon, its significantly low speed guarantees it moves first under Trick Room while maintaining sun.
Mega Camerupt
A fellow Pokémon of 20 base Speed is the Mega Evolution of Camerupt, with extremely boosted Special Attack and bulk. You can make use of the Earth Power and Eruption or Trick Room of this tanky Fire/Ground attacker. Once again, its slow speed is an essential asset on Trick Room for teams aiming to make the first attack.
