Super bummed there is no PC... but not too surprised.
Really hope they have an invite system so we can play the co-op with our friends.

Konami has already said that you can invite friends in the full version.

    Stadiums.......

According to Pes official,us XB1 users will be stuck with PS3 and 360 users on stadiums
I think it's about 7-9 stadiums that can be used if you play a European ML.
Unless konami has the wrong info on their site,xb1 will be treated as an old gen when it comes to stadiums and resolution.

Edit: according to Adam Bhatti on twitter it should be 36 stadiums for Xb1, it's an error on konamis website, not updated yet though

    That's correct,it's microsofts doing.
Remember being able to do it on my Xbox 360,patched my Pes 13, then when I decided to re patch it sometime later, they had an update who blocked that.
I refuse to buy a PS4 just for one game, hope Microsoft comes to their senses again
I am so bummed, love to play PES on this generation, especially with xbox X coming. But not being able t do option files and customize game with real graphics for kits and such really takes immersion out of game for me. COME ON MS!! get head out of arse on this.

Well, I would hope so. The gamemode would be a joke without it. Do we know about the demo though? I'd like to play with friends in the demo.

They specifically mention PC, so I expect we'll see a PC demo as well. I've kinda gotten out of the whole sports gaming thing, but reading this year the PC will have the same game play has me interested a little bit again.

There will be a PC demo closer to release date, probably on release week.

This is the first demo in a long time that I have been anxiously waiting and excited for. I have been listening to podcasts and watching youtube videos with everyone saying how this game just feels so different than previous games.

Heh. I've been around, just not a lot of sports gaming. Looks like this year might be good one for PES, so I'm certainly waiting on a PC demo to see what's what. I've been playing the free PES 17 with the fully functional build a team thingy for a couple weeks and it's nicely done so I thought I'd check in to see what might be in store for this year.

I saw that too. But when you read through the rest it says 360, PS3, X1, PS4
    It's confusing

Just a heads up, if you have a New Zealand PSN account you can play this as early as tomorrow.

I assume there is a chance it shows up on the US store tomorrow as well.

The PS store usually updates on Tuesdays so it could very well come tomorrow. But I'm not getting my hopes up just in case.

I seriously regret downloading it. I was bored with it instantaneously. Konami needs to clean house, not only the devs need to go, but also Asim, Bhatti and any authoritarian podcast figure that puts access to those in power over treating this game with truthful opinion.

I see number of post of yours hating PES2018. And i'm really don't agree with that, i think this year is best game konami giving us since PES6(which is still great and love playing it)
I played couple of matches and feel very fluid. Just want to point out few things i didn't like it (still didn't like it); 1st that it's still very easy to make dangerous long shots. In pes6 you have to be very cereafull not to put the ball in z row. 2nd sometimes you press for hard pass, but instead player pass the ball very weak and gave up posession. 3rdWould be nice for more fouls. Played 4 matches - zero fouls, except for penalty that i was made intentional
    These are my early thoughts:
    Plus:
The speed of the game is really good.
Ball control animations are improved compared with the previous iteration and feels really good. The ball feels really free in the feet, so that the ball movement and the distance between the player and the ball dictate more what your options are. Last year, the ball seemed captured in a small area around the player which let all kind of weird dribble or passes happen.
Ground passes are great, I love how they feel. You don’t have that bowling effect the beta had. The weight of it and the physics looks and feel really good.
Full back positioning on goal kicks are more realistic (can’t speak for other aspect of their game yet with all those hidden tactics).
    Minus:
Off the ball player positioning suffer from same issues than last year. Red players are not joining the defense. Off the ball team striker seems invisible to the on the ball team defenders leading to unrealistic counter attack opportunities. Marking is too loose in general and space is all over the pitch. I didn’t see enough midfield play to my taste.
Teammates reaction time is too slow and movement decisions often weird when defending. When a team uses a through ball, defending players seems to freeze for half a second.
Collisions between players are still not on the par with older versions of the other game. Fouls detection is not quite sharp enough too.
Outside of strength and speed, player individuality didn’t impress me. It is still very similar to do standard dribble with Neymar or Miranda or at least to easy to do it with Miranda. Good or wrong foot passing or shooting feels the same.
Shooting as been improved but is not quite their neither. I had quite a lot of misplaced shot by a large margin though (playing in full manual).
It seems to me it is easier to play accurate long ball than short passes as it was also the case in the previous edition.
The cpu uses those stereotypic ultra lethal one two and/or through ball to break your defense we have seen before in PES2017. I can’t say if cpu build up is better. I felt cpu defending was better particularly while playing against Germany.
I didn’t see a major atmosphere improvement, outside of the sky view of the stadium and the entrance corridor. Player’s movements and expressions on the presentation line are the same than last year. The lack of commentary does not help in that department. Colors are a bit better than last year but still not really great. The turf looks still quite poor.
Conclusion: While I found the demo fun to play, I am already seeing too many irritating aspects of the game that made me walk away from last year edition (though it was quite late in the year). There is no doubt it is a significant improvement over PES2017 but probably not a day one purchase for me this year.
I've played 3 games and not a single foul so far. Why can't football games ever get fouls right? This is a pretty big deal to me every year and its never fixed

For all its flaws I think FIFA does decently. There are some dubious fouls for sure, and glitch fouls, but I feel like the frequency and ability to draw them with good dribbling or shielding is pretty good.
I though PES 2017 had made it a point to increase fouls though?

The last couple of years I have bought PES for later selling them and I have nothing against PES - do not want to spend time on Fifa vs Pes childly .. Your interpretation is the same I have after 10-12 demo matches. You just Stopped my inner purchase purchase, thank you. Pes has many really good qualities, but it depends on what you weigh in your choice if you do not choose both. If you could boil both down to a game we would be close to the holy grail.

PES 2017 did have more fouls. Unfortunately based on the demo they seem to have gone backwards again.

With FIFA, it feels more or less the same to me. It does only a little bit better but even then I'll go a few games in a row with zero fouls in FIFA. On average there's like what 15 fouls a game combined? Sometimes more, sometimes less but I feel like the biggest issue with FIFA and PES is that defenders don't make enough mistakes with tackles, they're just too inch perfect. I kind of miss the days of PES when you could choose your ref before the game who each had their own stats on how many fouls they call, how many cards they show etc etc . Not to be nostalgic or anything lol but I really miss that as it gives variety to the games . Anyway, if this is the final build foul wise then its really disappointing to me

It seems like positioning and tactics are pretty much the same as last year which is disappointing. Though it's hard to say for sure until it is possible to use custom tactics.
Game mechanics feel good and there are some improvements to PES 17 but I don't think I can enjoy the game without custom game plans for both teams. With a couple small changes to the game it would be a day one purchase but I'll probably buy it later this year.
I think there are a lot of things under the hood happening that are causing a lack of fouls. Personally I was fine with the amount of fouls in PES 17 although they could have been better but playing Master League with 20 mins or more I saw at least a minimum of 5 fouls a match for each side. Also the way they have some of the teams set up in this game tactically is pretty shocking and it shows how advanced tactics and the defence levels almost break the game for me personally. But to get back to fouls; the lack of midfield battle is something that is causing it also they still need to work on the collision detection. The player models look more lifelike and smaller but the pitch feels way too big now.
I played a few more matches this morning. I am really enjoying the demo. Playing as Messi feels different then playing as other players and defenders seem to defender differently. I made a shot from outside the box that barely hit the top of the ball and went in with Messi. It felt amazing.
I still think FIFA have better graphics but PES 18 is an improvement over 17 and still looks really good. The hype about feeling "free" movement seems very real as moving players feel different, the ball feels different and defending is much harder.
I have played 6 matches so far. 2 of the matches the CPU had 4 yellow cards in each, 3 matches they had a few fouls and 1 or 2 cards and 1 match they had 0 fouls. I wish fouls were more frequent but it depends on your play style often. I noticed when doing close dribbling and attacking defenders, I am fouled more. But when I pass it around and find open spaces, I am not fouled as much.
IMO in this state now this game is perfect for a 10 min online match. However offline there is still a lot more love is also needed. We could see something different with the time increased beyond 10 minutes and tactics not being restricted. Playing the CPU Top player/Superstar Liverpool and Barca can get so many shots off on me and can hit me on the counter so easily due to forwards not tracking back, defenders allowing too much space and Marking being too laxed. I am may sound like I am nitpicking but these are issues the many people saw last year and pointed it out before the game released and still were not realized and here we are again.
I will still be purchasing it day one though because it is a big improvement over 17 which I also enjoyed for a period of time but I know that there will be some tinkering to do to get the game playing to my liking for offline matches.

My biggest problem with the demo is the lack of fouls again and the fact that it is too easy to play the ball out wide and dribble down the sidelines to get a cross in. Granted it doesn't always result in a goal but it is like the defenders have no desire to try and win the ball or prevent the cross and that was on Top Player. I am still getting the game but it is concerning.

The tactics restrictions are so stupid because the way the teams are set up ruin the experience. It makes for a poor advertisement for the final game. This happened last year too. I'm pretty sure two appropriate costume tactics will really make this game a good one.
I am fairly confident a lot of the issues people have been experiencing with lack of pressing and lack of fouls will be made better with day 1 patch. Certainly the demo alone was more than enough to convince me to pre order. GKs are vastly improved and the overall game feels great
