You guys need to bring a hockey and baseball game back...
It's amazing they pay any attention to us at OS considering we're just a drop in the bucket of their enormous player base.
I hope 2k19 is exceptional and I'm looking forward to pre-ordering once the MyLeague blog drops because that always puts me over the edge.
Congrats to the great devs over there on all their success.

Our Online League TSBT has contributed a lot of those matches and played hours so we take some of that pride, too. :59:
Congrats to the 2k team.
I'm assuming they'll add another 2 or 3M on to that this year.

Word, we are witnessing history.... basketball games never in the history of time we're even considered to be here.
Well played 2K

Man...I was on the bandwagon that a basketball game would never ever outsell Madden. I think NBA 2K has done it for the past 2-3 years now. NBA 2K is getting those "elite" sales now.
2K Games are sitting on gold mines right now in GTA5 and NBA 2K (with its microtransactions).

2k doesn't care. They're almost selling Super Mario numbers.
Anyway, well deserved 2k crew. Keep pumping out great games and we'll keep buying and playing them.
Congrats 2k!!!

yep overhauled defense gameplay, alot sliders customization in My GM/League, CAP system with face sculpting, new Mentorship badge will help NBA 2k19 sell better on Day One. My Career along My Park could boost sale if 2k listen very well to fans for reduce Microtransaction, use skill points for their players attribute rating, use money from NBA paycheck to buy NBA gears and anything else from shop, tattoos, barbershop, new buildings and make neighborhood is very bigger to explore around
If NBA 2K is selling 10 mil, I don't see how a Choops title couldn't hit a million at least now. It always baffled me how little 2K advertised CH. I think I only saw 1 commercial back in the day. I get it, though. The budget was probably small and the sales weren't great. Now there's the likeness court stuff.
But still, 2K leveraging MyCareer (around being a legend at your fav school) along with the NBAPA and the real college coaches (2K7 had them) like Coach K, along with fictional (not fake, think SimWorld) roster. I think that formula with 2Ks effort could lead to something special.

I'm almost did it...I want to max out my player, but I just don't feel like playing 30+ games between PNO and ProAm to do. I'm so trying to fight the temptation of dropping the $20....
200k VC is a lot to earn . You really need about 250k when you add in animations and accessories .
It's too much. I have 5 stats (Steal, LQ, SP, AC, STAMINA) that I need to finish maxing out....One bar is like 2K. SMH.
Its grinding for the badges to level up that's monotonous.

Quoted to clarify : E-League . Do you guys think the E-League pushed more units
More than usual? Perhaps slightly. But from what I watched of the E-League this year -- and it was like two matches -- I came away unimpressed.
I think, more than anything, NBA Live being ho-hum (though improved from its recent low-point) and the Youtube streamers helped push more units than the E-League.
I'd guess that the investment that 2K made in the E-League vs. the actual number of units pushed by it came up to being a loss: as in the E-League didn't recoup the costs by pushing the units to replace those costs.
That said, I doubt 2K felt like it was going to anyway. The E-League is limited by the game itself (which, despite how good it is, still has limitations one can see in any E-League match) and the lack of driving personalities -- I can't name a single team or person in the league, which is the opposite of how the NBA works as everyone knows who JR Smith is despite JR being a role player/bench guy at this point in his career.
The E-League will need a another year or two to really develop, assuming 2K commits to it that long. More than anything, I think the E-League will push the gameplay team to really address legacy issues.
It's one thing to have the game's flaws show up on Youtube videos, but it's quite another for those flaws to impact a live-stream of E-League sports with actual, real money and jobs on the line. That, to me, is the biggest contribution the E-League can make to 2K, assuming 2K sticks with it.
The question is, will all this extra stuff be in there too?
If so, I'm getting that version. Until I find out either way, I'm waiting to preorder.

I dont even play online but I noticed how little VC payed out this year. I play 12 min ML qtrs. Normally, I'd have dozens to hundreds of thousands in VC around the time the new game came out. This year, I had 50k and I played 2K18 way more than 2K17. That 50K barely got MyPlayer to a 69, or 70. So I see 2K skimping. But this notion of free or "giving" something away or getting rid of VC blows me.
