  1. I love the jerseys and body types man. Just think they need to do a little better job on the hairstyles like this. Just looks weird.

Glad they got rid of the chubby baby face. Really like the overall slimmer body builds this year seems as if the player to court ratio might look better this year space wise with no big thick bodies running all around it.
To the average person, these dudes are mad skinny and lanky irl. On television it's not really visible (also comparing them to other NBA sized guys as opposed to "normal" people). With that said, guys could use a 'slight' bit more thickness in the biceps but I'm not complaining as I've yet to see this body type with the arm rested flat against the side of the body (arms expand).
Beyond that though, these guys all actually LOOK like athletes. The player models I've seen so far actually look like athletic basketball players now. The biggest thing is the necks, slimmer more defined face scans, the more anatomically correct looking shoulder/traps area, and lastly the chest. The barrel/man boobs are gone and it makes a difference. Throw in improved unis, uni fit, and textures and it's made a world of difference.
Here are some examples of D'Lo's thickness in real life. He is quite a unit. Compare that with his size in 2k18. Note the area around the shoulders/biceps.
They made him too skinny in the game. But hopefully we can edit bodytypes this year.
Regardless, the face looks amazing, as i said. And the actual bodyshape model looks GREAT, it's just the wrong choice for D'Lo in particular.

That's looks a big difference. Looks 20 pounds lighter this year lol.
But lighting is alot better and I can't get over how realistic eyes are this year. Small detail but helps with immersion
Like with most NBA guards, most of their arms aren't very large when in a rested position like this:

I'm really digging these models though man, cant wait to see this game in motion..

omg....look at his neck in the 2k17 version and then compare it to 2k18..its night and day.
    very impressed
The 2K17 vs 2K18 side by side really emphasises the improvement.
2K18 - Built like an athlete. An NBA player.
2K17 - Built like a retired former athlete who frequents hardware stores.
    It's night and day.....!!
Slightly too skinny but I am cool with it. So crazy how the body types make this game looks that much better.
Surprised he's an 80 with Lonzo. Thought he'd be higher at least a 82. But Lonzo and Fultz should've been lower as well. He should shoot up this year in Brooklyn.

I truly hope 2k scraped all of the body types from prior 2k games and just applied these new body types to everyone, whether thats current, created, or legend players. Those old body types will be so much of an eye soar at this point it's not even funny.

If D'Angelo is this thin I can't imagine how thin Ingram will be.

I dunno man - looks pretty close to me. Close enough not to have an issue IMO anyway.

No issue at all. Just funny to see if Ingram got a new body model.

He is probably the only player that deserved that under developed, "high school" player body type, although having slimmer calves, a little more definition in the shoulder, back and bicep area.

This is his frame after one year in a NBA strength and conditioning program....

That is a pretty hefty upgrade. Hopefully it's like that across the board and not just for the bigger name players.
I was hoping to get a peek of the nets floor to see if it was fixed. I'm sure it is don't know why it bothered me so much in 2k17. Loving how great this game is looking. Def gonna annoy my girl with pudding the game and saying "babe look how real this game looks " like when 2k14 released

DLo really slimmed down over the summer, it's pretty accurate excluding his new tattoo

He has slimmed down but still maybe a tad too skinny. Face scan still looks great and the jersey looks amazing too

Man I agree on the jersey! I keep looking at it thinking "an ACTUAL BASKETBALL PLAYER body type!!"
5 v 5 in broadcast cam, man..... getting anxious now.....
Hope there's some shine to the courts - more than I've been led to believe thus far at least.

That's pretty much where I'm at at this point too in terms of visuals. After that I'm looking forward to better atmosphere in the stadiums. Better sounds, better crowd reactions, and even improved presentation elements.
