Madden 21 Next-Gen Breakdown and Chat - The Franchise Mode

Our own Brian Mazique and Matt Ederer got together on a video podcast of sorts (without the podcast part) to do a Madden 21 next-gen breakdown in advance of next week’s release. Brian is calling this new series The Franchise Mode.

We’ll have even more next week to get people prepared for Madden’s next-gen launch (and FIFA’s), but if you want to watch two jokers talk about what we know so far as it relates to Madden 21 — and then a whole mess of other stuff — feel free to scope out the video.

Also, we are so dang close to 9K subs on YouTube and would love to hit it before the end of November, so we would love if you subbed as well.

    Cool watching it now. Did they add anything to franchise mode for next-gen?

    short answer: lol no
    slightly longer answer: they're doing 3 updates (1 is already out) and anything they do add is going into current gen and next gen. The "real" updates are probably not until Madden 22.

    Thanks! Was hoping they would add some additional features into Franchise next gen as those 3 updates look extremely underwhelming IMO. Would be nice to get the player creation suite and some of the equipment from The yard into franchise at least... Their franchise mode is so behind 2k. Looks like presentation will get some upgrades.

    Of course we all knew that but reading this, it still gives me creeps, lol.

    Will Madden update the equipment with a patch? The equipment still looks like its pasted, in the yard the arm sleeves and undershirts 3D or realistic... it's next-gen they have to fix that!

    Doubt it... Usually, they hype up any small thing they are adding. If they don't mention it I wouldn't expect anything based on their history...

    Wait what?!? You’re kidding right? That’s almost unbelievable. If we weren’t talking about EA. I’m still waiting for more gameplay news.
    When is the info going to be dropping for gameplay? There has to be more right? It seems for years now. Heck probably getting close to a decade, they’ll release their gameplay news and I’ll read a few bullet points. And there will be a few paragraphs of filler. And that’s it. And I’ll be wondering surely this isn’t it. Then I’ll go read entire blogs full of details about 2ks gameplay.
    Honestly, they seem to get very little accomplished year to year. And you’d think eventually the small things would add up. But they’re rarely implemented well.
    But we have gotten a few game modes that literally no one has asked for. So there’s that.

    the game is overrated and is not worth 70 dollars

    I bought it for $20 on sale and regret that also. Really weak compared to other games like 2K...
