Forza Motorsport 7 Launch Trailer, Demo Available Now

The Forza Motorsport 7 demo is available now for Xbox One and PC, featuring three unique racing experiences.

Drive the Forza Motorsport 7 cover car – the Porsche 911 GT2 RS – to the brand-new Dubai circuit and experience the thrill of navigating the Jebel Hafeet Pass, one of the most famous driving roads in the world.

Or, pilot the massive Mercedes-Benz Tankpool racing truck to victory at the high-speed Mugello circuit in Italy. For drivers who want the ultimate test, the Nissan NISMO GT-R LM is available for a race at the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit. Here, fans will be challenged to handle the ‘Ring’s complex corners and elevation changes, while also tackling the dynamic track conditions that will make racing in Forza Motorsport 7 so breathtaking. Racing through rainstorms laced with thunder and lightning make for a visual showcase and for a challenge like no other – where dynamic puddles grow and shrink with the intensity of the rain.

The Forza Motorsport 7 demo will feature assists that will allow players to dial in the difficulty the way they see fit; and for PC players there will performance options including benchmark mode to adjust the experience to each player’s PC performance capabilities.

  1. Looking forward to see peoples thoughts on this. Same old Forza? or even better? ?Want to make a decision on a racer: Narrowed down to this and PC2 probably.
Tried all three races available and I was very impressed with graphics on the dubai circuit and the weather/time of day effects are very impressive on the Nurburgring. Handling wise it still is one of the better racers with a pad providing a tactile feel, having said that it has that certain forza feel that you will either love or hate, the understeer to oversteer exaggeration, the loss off grip that feels too sudden like an effect. If you value content and polish, usability with a pad i think this will likely be the better option then project cars, if you have a wheel and are more into your racing, setups and competition then forza might not have the staying power.
I really liked the pad inputs for racing. However, everything else about FM I've seem to outgrow. I don't like how cars handle and I don't like the overall feel while moving through the game. Too many Forza-isms, I guess.
I'll have open arms for PC2.
I'm a big Forza fan. I absolutely love 1 through 4, never played 5 . I bought the Forza 6 Xbox one console and was quite disappointed with 6. I felt the A.I. was bad and the handling felt like most of the cars were on ice, very little grip.
So before I buy another Xbox one (mine was stolen last month) I'd like to ask how 7 handles compared to 6? Do the cars have more grip or is it the same as 6? Thanks

I found it pretty similar to 6, it has that oversteer snap that you always have to manage as you say a bit like you are on ice. I think its trying to make you feel the excitement of being on the limit of the cars traction but at speeds that make it feel a little artificial. I found the GT3 car especially throttle sensitive for a race car.
The A.I i found a bit a bit clumsy even on the non-aggressive setting, they seem to just bundle through corners with little thought to positioning.
A friend of mine sent me a couple videos of the Demo. Looks pretty good to me, I'm a sucker for racing games. I may have to buy a new Xbox, Probably will wait for the X to come out.
Got my mitts on the full Forza 7 Thursday night.
The full game drives much better than the demo. It feels great. Predictable handling with a controller, with properly different weight transfer and physics for each car. It's ... the Forza you know and probably love or have loved at one time.
No bugs. No flaws. Seamless. Optimized. Compatible. Beautiful. Quality.
It's so cool to have the Maple Valley track back in the game, too!
I have an 8-year-old Panasonic plasma TV, but damned if Forza 7 isn't the prettiest video game I've seen. You cats with 4K HDR sets will sauce your knickers once you play this on the XB1X.
Can't wait to dig much deeper into this game. I'm seeing hundreds of hours of my life gleefully pass as I play. :)

Improved. Not perfect, probably not quite as good as Project Cars 1. But solid.
It's nice to fire up a racing game that's complete, with no bugs, patches, crippling flaws, etc. Forza is just a FAR more polished and finished product that Project Cars, even after multiple patches of PC1.

My biggest issue with Forza has always been being tasked with passing about 12 cars in 2-3 laps in career races. That was made even worse by the necessity to finish top 3 in order to advance to the next race in recent versions. I hear you can now run longer races and you now amass points and can move on even if you don't finish on the podium. Do you run championships or is it just some sort of global points tally throughout career?
Not a deal breaker, but in free play mode, is there now a way to customize or even randomize the starting grid order? Previous versions always ordered the grid by PI.

You run a number of smaller series championships with like 5 races with a certain car class. There are also showcase events that can earn you points and rewards.
Once you amass enough points you unlock the next level of racing events.
At the same time you will be leveling up as a racer and your car collection.
For example each level allows you access to purchase additional cars with your in game credits.

I bought the ultimate edition...downloading now.
It's not like they cost 500 dollars...I will end up getting PC2 as well at some point.

Wait on PC2 , it's good but needs patching.
Has this game released? Played it on the S at a kiosk the other day, I'm waiting for the Xbox X and loved how this game had weight to the cars and handled well.
I won a Hoonigan Pack DLC code as well as a code of the VIP membership from XBOX Live rewards. I purchased that ultimate edition and already have the Hoonigan DLC car pack as well as the VIP membership so Ill post the codes on here.

After watching a video on how to setup a wheel to work good with this on PC, i went ahead and bought it, and I love it, at least with the slower cars. Since GT Sport isnt going to be a car collecting game, and PCars2 has no decent path to follow, this is now my "game" to play when I want single player racing. Online is obviously junk with idiots, but could be fun with a good group of guys.
    Very happy with it.

My exact thoughts. But last night I stumbled into an online Forza 7 hopper filled with respectful, clean, fast guys in front. Rare, but VERY fun.

i cant get in a race online.... keeps kicking me and i have good net speed

It's a bit of a hit & miss for me... but when I get in the connection quality is excellent and I don't have a problem. I've also lost track of the number of times I've tried to get online and the game reported that the 'service was unavailable at this time', or something to that effect.

me too, i get that a lot
It’s been a good week for me, the police recovered my stolen PS4 , PS4 pro, and Xbox one Forza Motorsport edition console. So I got to try the Forza 7 demo. All I’m going to say is in what world does a Porsche GT2 slide uncontrollably all over the road? Horrible handling physics. The other car wasn’t bad but turn 10 has lost it in my opinion. I was once a huge Forza fan now I’ll never play it again. Sad , Forza 4 was so good, what happened?

The physics are fine with nearly every other car in the game. The default setup for the Porsche in the demo was AWFUL.

Glad to hear the game handles better than the demo, I’m still going to pass on it, maybe pick it up 6 months from now on sale.

I bought Forza 7 for Xbox One but I can't figure out how to get onto my pc. It doesn't show up in my library.

You have to have the same XBL account used on you system logged into you windows store on your PC.
You also have to purchase the game digital and not physical.
I decided to pick this game up for the X. Don't know if it's the console or not but this game runs and feels great. I spent 6 hours yesterday with the career mode and I'm really enjoying it. Still a bit early to tell but this may be the best Forza game yet.

How is the ai? I've read a ot of bad comments about it.

There’s a bit of bumping at times but they are much better then they were in Forza 6. They seem more aware of my car on the track, in 6 they were clueless.
I got game on sale this past weekend, any suggested settings for AI? and using controller. Game is beautiful looking. Should I just use this game for multiplayer? or is offline enjoyable?

I haven't even tried the online part of the game yet. I'm doing the career races and Free play races. In career I have the races set to Long , usually between 7 to 17 laps depending on the length of the track. I have the A.I. set at expert with the limited aggression On. I may have to crank it up to pro as I'm starting to win to easily.
In Free Play I like doing long races usually between 15 and 25 laps with the A.I. on unbeatable. Note - They are not unbeatable.
I'm having good races with the A.I.. I get bumped at times but not slammed into like I did in forza 6. They seem more aware of my presence on the track.
Over all the A.I. is still forza A.I. but it's improving. It seems to me the A.I. system in the Forza games went downhill when they started this Diveatar thing. Don't know why, just seems that way.
One other thing you can't judge this game by the demo, the full game feels much much better.
