Postseason Jorge Soler World Series Program

World Series Postseason Program Hits MLB The Show 21

The World Series Postseason Program was released for MLB The Show 21 today, and it goes above and beyond the other programs we have been given during the MLB playoffs. There are a ton of new cards that have been added, and we even got a new Postseason collection that adds a couple legendary cards from the past. The 14 new players are: Postseason Clay Holmes, Postseason Giovanny Gallegos, Postseason Jordan Luplow, Postseason Brad Boxberger, Postseason Gavin Sheets, Postseason Tyler Rogers, Postseason Christian Vazquez, Postseason A.J. Pollock, Postseason Framber Valdez, Postseason Phil Maton, Postseason Will Smith, Postseason Ian Anderson, Postseason Adam Duvall, and Postseason Jorge Soler. The two throwback cards are Postseason George Springer and Postseason Corey Seager.

Bottom Line

I’m not going to do player comparisons for this one because there’s just a lot of players here, and the point is that all these players are rather clearly the best version of themselves at this point. So, in other words, the comparisons wouldn’t really show much. This is “end game” content and thus these cards are all solid in their own ways.

What I would say is Springer and Seager are fantastic bonuses to see because those cards were menaces in the past. Beyond that, I think SDS went above and beyond here for November content, and we still have at least one more massive content drop with the Team Affinity set. We also still have the 9th Inning Program, but that will be smaller by comparison.

In general, this does feel like the beginning of the end for Diamond Dynasty for this year, but it’s been a great year if that’s the case. There has been consistency all year long, and while SDS maybe lost it a bit at times with the H/9 ratings for pitchers and the absurdity of some of the Topps Now ratings, it’s hard to argue against the overall content that was on display this year. The developers have tried to bring a bit more single-player content into the mode and given us the best year of cards on record. Freeze glitches and bunting aside, Diamond Dynasty has had a banner year.
