Pokémon Champions has gotten off to a fairly rocky start during its first season as a live-service game. While the gameplay has been praised by many players in the community, others have criticized its overall lack of content and the limited gameplay loop for single-player fans. Fortunately, Season 1, dubbed M-1 in-game, is coming to an end in May 2026, and Season 2, M-2, is on the way immediately after it concludes.
Season M-2 should deliver more content and a fresh start of sorts for Pokémon Champions, giving players more of a reason to continue their grind. Below, you can see exactly when Season M-2 of Pokémon Champions is set to go live and some of the content that you can expect to see after downloading the update.
What Time Does Pokémon Champions Season 2 Go Live?
Luckily, if you’re reading the guide before Season M-2 is live, then you don’t have much longer to wait. Pokémon Champions is undergoing server maintenance on May 13 at 3:00 UTC (10 PM ET on May 12). This maintenance is planned to last until 6:00 UTC (1:00 AM ET on May 13), and once it’s over, Season M-1 will officially end.

Immediately following that maintenance, Season M-2 will go live in Pokémon Champions. For most players, regardless of where you live, the season starts on May 13. The only exception to this is players in the Pacific Time Zone. However, the season will begin at different times across the world. Here’s a list of when Season M-2 goes live for some major time zones:
- Pacific Time – 11:00 PM May 12
- Mountain Time – 12:00 AM May 13
- Central Time – 1:00 AM May 13
- Eastern Time – 2:00 AM May 13
- Greenwich Mean Time – 6:00 AM May 13
- Central European Summer Time – 8:00 AM May 13
- Eastern European Summer Time – 9:00 AM May 13
- Indian Standard Time – 11:30 AM May 13
- China Standard Time – 2:00 PM May 13
- Japan Standard Time – 3:00 PM May 13
- Australian Eastern Daylight Time – 4:00 PM May 13
- New Zealand Standard Time – 6:00 PM May 13
Following the server maintenance in Pokémon Champions, you’ll have to download an update if you want to access the game and its new content.
Season M-2 will last from May 13 until Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
What Content Is Coming In Pokémon Champions Season 2?
Season M-2 is hitting the reset switch for a majority of the content in Pokémon Champions. All of the content from Season M-1 will still be present, but the season is delivering a new Battle Pass, resetting the Ranked ladders, and introducing a few new items to the fray.
Unfortunately, since Season M-2 is following the same ruleset as M-1, no new Pokémon will be introduced throughout the entire season. This is certainly disappointing for a game that currently doesn’t even feature 200 total Pokémon, but Season M-3 will see a new ruleset introduced, which means new Pokémon will be added with that update.
For now, though, the Season M-2 Battle Pass will deliver new cosmetics, Victory Points, Quick Coupons, and other items. You can also redeem your Ranked rewards from Season M-1, which will be given out at the start of Season M-2, and start grinding to earn new rewards for reaching higher ranks.
