One of the ascendant talents across baseball’s crop of young stars, Yelich announced his arrival in 2018 with an MVP season that saw him slug 36 home runs and drive in 100 runs, while leading the National League (NL) in batting average (.326), slugging percentage (.598), OPS (1.000) and total bases (343).  He followed that up in 2019 by leading all of baseball in slugging percentage (.671) and OPS (1.100), while topping the NL in batting average for the second consecutive season (.329) as well as on base percentage (.429).

R.B.I. Baseball 20 is going to be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch for $29.99, as well as iOS and Android devices for $6.99. According to the official Nintendo website, the game is scheduled to release on March 16.

If you missed our R.B.I. Baseball 19 review from last year, you can read it here.

Overall, the game is still very basic. Nothing really stands out about it except for maybe the fact that you have 165 legends at your disposal. But even that isn’t enough to save this game from itself. This isn’t to say there is no fun to be had because, at its core, it can be a fun game. If the game continues to make jumps like it did this year, it could potentially be a very solid game of baseball in the near future. However, I just have my doubts it will ever get that support.

We’ve captured a bunch of R.B.I. Baseball 20 screenshots from the trailer below. Let us know if you notice anything…

Can you edit rosters on your own and create players?

I was wondering about this as well.
What is Franchise Mode like? Can you scout Prospects, edit them/players?
    Thanks for any info.

These changes were what I was hoping for. Since I'm on XBOX, I'm buying in again, and will be, at least until the SHOW is here.

From what I remember, you cannot edit anything but RBI does a good job of updating the rosters and adding new players every week. You can then import their rosters into an ongoing franchise.
Like how you can see flight of the ball after contact in fielding camera. MLB the show needs to have this. They only have it in hitting camera
Pre-ordered the Switch version. I'll just be returning from a work trip, so looking forward to diving right into this when I get back.

I have a swtich also. I'm debating changing my pre-order from Xbox to to Nintendo.
    How is gameplay/visuals on 19?

Gameplay really improved on Switch from 18 to 19. They really reduced load time between plays/innings, which was a huge positive. Visually, the game looks fine and didn't have any issues seeing the ball in handheld mode, which was a complaint from previous versions.

I will give them this.... this game does not look terrible. Still can’t hold a candle to the show though

Good thing this game isn't competing with The Show whatsoever.

    Excellent to hear. Thank you

Heh, the U.S. cover athlete bats nothing like himself. More like Scooter Gennett.
Definitely looks improved, though. I can't believe they've already been around for seven years making yearly releases.

Really looking forward to this one, as I had a blast with 19. Getting it on the Switch again.

Ya I'm got it for the Switch so I can have my baseball so I can play if my wife wants to watch TV or if and when go out again I'm glad I did it has definitely taken a major step from last year which is what I want is continued progress it may not be the Show but that's ok it's an alternative and a strong one. I love the new pitching and hitting mechanics it's simple but requires strategy focus to use it especially the batting at least for me. I notice if you various pressures to press the button down you get a variety of different hits ( don't just hold it down all the way or just tap it you will see the difference pretty cool, I'm struggling with base stealing right now need more practice. I think fielding needs more work it still looks line an SNES game graphically. Overall I'd give it a strong 7.5 it's fun and that's all I care about.
