Aggronite is one of the rarer Mega Stones in Pokémon Champions, turning Aggron into a powerful defensive Mega tank. The good news is you don’t have to do much for it; Aggronite comes bundled with a free early-game unlock and introduces the Mega Evolution system itself. If you want Aggron in your Singles or Doubles team, you’ll want to finish this as soon as the game allows.
Unlock The Mega Evolution Tutorial

Aggronite is automatically claimed after you complete the Mega Evolution Battle Tutorial. You can access this tutorial inside the “Train” section. You’ll find it under Battle Tutorials in the main menu.. You don’t need a specific story chapter to finish it; you just need the Train tab to be unlocked, which usually happens early on in the campaign.
Before you hop in, check your party. You need to have at least one Pokémon that can Mega Evolve sitting in your active box.
Complete The Tutorial And Unlock Aggronite
The tutorial itself is pretty quick; you’ll run a small gauntlet where you have to finish on a simple win-condition using Mega Evolution once or twice. The key is to keep your team healthy enough to actually trigger the Mega; if you panic and spam weak moves to finish quickly, you might miss the activation window, meaning you’ll have to replay the tutorial.
Once you’ve finished the tutorial, the game marks it as “Cleared” and rewards Aggronite directly into your Mega Stones inventory. No need to open a chest either, just check your collection, and it’ll be there.
Equip Aggronite And Assign It
Select Aggronite from the Mega Stones menu, then assign it to Aggron in your party. With Aggron set as your active Pokémon, you can trigger Mega Evolution in battle as long as you’ve got enough Mega-eligible turns.
Aggronite pushes Aggron’s Defense and healing to the next level, which means it can sponge hits and counter-pressure. Pair it with utility moves like Iron Defense, Protect, or Stealth Rock and a strong Steel-type physical attack like Iron Head or Meteor Mash. This way, you’ll have yourself a stone-solid Mega tank that can handle tough boss fights and PvP duels.
Make sure to train it right, and dump stat points into Health and Special Defense.
Complete It Early
The tutorial’s free, quick, and gives you multiple Mega Stones at once. Aggronite is just one of them, and if you’re planning to use Mega Aggron in PvP or boss runs, doing this early lets you train and IV-tune around the Mega slot earlier on. Treat it like a quick task to complete, and you’ll have one of the strongest Mega tanks in your back-line when you really need it.
