  1. Based on some early info floating around out there, it is pretty much confirmed that the K&N Pro Series -- and accompanying tracks -- will be in NASCAR Heat 3. This is great news for anyone who enjoyed Heat 2's Career Mode.
Adding the K&N pro series would basically make it like EA's 05-09 (PS2) games. Now if they would only ....
    1. Allow us to scroll through race/qualifying results manually
    2. Give us more info in the race results i.e. intervals, fastest laps, laps led
    3. Give us a spotter/crew chief that is actually provides useful information.
I'm pretty excited about this game myself, as a pretty big Nascar (and racing in general) fan. Since 704games got the licensing for Nascar, everyone has said to give it 3 games before you see more depth. Here we are - Nascar Heat 3.
A ton of great hints being put out there by Ed Martin too which is awesome. Seems like the K&N series is probably in the game, and a lot of people think that Martin has also dropped hints that there will also be a dirt series. I'm skeptical on that though, that would make for 5 series in the game, not unthinkable, but definitely a huge jump for this year if that's the case.
The best news I think we've been given so far was actually by Ed Martin when he declared on twitter that the Career mode has gotten more attention this year than any previous year and they spent the most time on it than anything else they worked on this year - that to me is promising. They may have finally put the time and effort into making a true career mode.
With iRacing adding AI later this year, this one is pointless to me now. After last years version, terrible UI, not able to decline races in a series you aren't racing for, I realized that this team making the Heat games is not capable of putting out innovative products. I know they have had to redo the entire game multiple times, and NASCAR doesn't help with the constant rule changes, but doubtful this one will be worth the 60 bucks or whatever it ends up. May get it when it goes on sale if it turns out good, but with a true NASCAR sim adding AI, pretty hard to justify getting burnt on this development team again.

Just don't sign a contract for the series(s) you don't want to race.

It's not what he means. Many people would like to race one series in particular, say the Cup Series, but also run select races in the others. Many drivers do that in real life.
The old PS2 and XBOX EA games allowed this. You signed in every series you wanted but you could skip the races you didn't want to run.
In Heat 2, you either run every race of a given series or none at all.
Yeah I was talking about in NH2 when i wanted to race only trucks, and was doing full length races, and then I had to go run xfinity in crappy cars at tracks I didnt want to. Let me decline those offers, and stay in the trucks, and then when i feel like moving up, I either get a ride due to starting to do those, or due to my standings at the end of the year in Trucks. Hell i couldn't even DNF out of the races I didnt want to run :jpshakehe
The same would apply the other way, with teams offering me rides down at tracks that both or all three series race at if I was in cup.
All they have to do is fire of NASCAR Thunder 2003 on PS2 to see how to do it right.
Apparently Amazon accidentally listed NH3 early (I checked and it doesn't seem to be there anymore) and apparently the release date is September 7 and it features a deeper career mode with the addition of an Extreme Dirt Series racing that will apparently be where you start. I guess that would be like Dirt to Daytona, though I never played that game. Ed Martin tweeted that it was real too, typos in the description notwithstand
