After the Welcome To The Show Event probably overstayed its welcome just a bit, we now have the new Silver Sluggers Event to take its place in MLB The Show 21. It looks like a refreshing change of pace here with silver players being the focus. However, this also means you probably won’t see a lot of player variety because The Show does not always do the best job providing enough random silver players outside of the Live series. We have long talked on OS how nice it would be to get more bronze and silver players because it can be very enjoyable playing with non-diamonds, but SDS also needs to do better in that department to make these events more diverse.
I would expect at least three parts to this event since we’re obviously missing a Silver Slugger version of it and the Gold Glovers version as well. The top rewards are an Awards Asdrubal Cabrera and an Awards Nick Markakis. I love hitting with Asdrubal Cabrera in The Show, so I’m looking forward to that card.
