There are over two dozen courses you can play in PGA Tour 2K25. While most of these courses are a joy to play, some will have you throwing your controller or mouse at the wall. There are a handful of courses in 2K25 that are simply more difficult to play than others. Whether it’s because of where the pins are located, a particular set of holes, how the greens lie, or something else entirely, you want to stay away from these courses unless absolutely necessary.
Today, we’ll be listing what we believe to be the five worst PGA 2K25 courses to play. This list mostly comes down to which courses are more difficult than others, as all of the courses in the game are designed well and look fantastic, so it’s hard to judge them on those elements alone. The list is in no particular order.
1. Pinehurst Resort And Country Club

Pinehurst has become infamous in the PGA 2K25 community for being one of, if not the most difficult, courses in the entire game. While Pinehurst is a beautiful course, you quickly forget about the lush surroundings in North Carolina as you’re watching your ball roll away on the greens or fail even to get close. Many players have said that Pinehurst’s greens are like “turtle shells,” meaning that you need to ramp up the speed of your ball to make it to the pin.
Pinehurst is equally difficult to play in real life, as notorious course designer Donald Ross was behind its creation. If you ever manage a perfect round on Pinehurst, make sure to take a screenshot, as few people would likely believe you.
2. St. George’s Golf And Country Club (RBC Canadian Open)

Next up is the RBC Canadian Open course, St. George’s. Similar to Pinehurst, a common complaint amongst players about St. George’s is how the greens can be extremely unforgiving. With St. George’s, though, you’re often putting from over 100 feet away, or you’re putting downhill, which means that you have to hit the ball at the perfect speed so that it doesn’t gain too much momentum and sail past the pin. If you do manage to get close to the green, you’d better hope that you sink the shot on your first try, as balls tend not to remain on the green at St. George’s unless they’re in the hole.
Did I mention there are enough sand traps to basically call the course a beach? It’s a fun time whenever you head up north to play the RBC Canadian Open.
3. Quail Hollow Club

What is it about North Carolina that makes for such a difficult golf course? Quail Hollow Club is next up on our list, and it requires the utmost attention and precision when teeing off from any hole. Even if you’re on the easiest settings in PGA 2K25, though, you just always seem to hit worse here. The entire course is relentless, featuring diabolical greens, awkwardly placed sand traps, and random other elements, such as a small river running parallel to an entire hole. The whole course is also extremely uneven, so you need to hit your ball perfectly unless you want it to roll in the opposite direction of the pin.
For Quail Hollow, you want to ensure you bring out your best clubs, otherwise, it’ll be a long day watching your ball roll around like someone is controlling it with a joystick.
4. TPC Sawgrass (The Players Championship)

TPC Sawgrass is one of the best courses in the world to be a fan of. It has a terrific environment for spectators, and it’s located in Florida, so you know the surroundings will be beautifully designed. However, as a competitor, Sawgrass is not a course you relish visiting. The fairways at Sawgrass are notorious for being so narrow that you have to hit every shot perfectly even to have a chance at par. Sawgrass also commonly features some harsh wind, making those shots even harder to hit. If you do slice a shot, it doesn’t matter what side you sliced to along a fairway, as there are usually dense trees or water in either direction.
Unlike some other courses in 2K25, Sawgrass is difficult for all playstyles and archetypes, so every player is in misery when they tee off.
5. TPC San Antonio (Valero Texas Open)

Our final entry on the list is TPC San Antonio at the Valero Texas Open. Once again, the greens are the culprit, as TPC San Antonio features some frustratingly difficult pins to hit. There are often sand traps right near the pins, and if that wasn’t enough, the greens feature uneven terrain all around them, making getting to the pin at all a steep challenge. While the Valero Texas Open isn’t one of the absolute toughest tournaments in 2K25, you won’t be setting any records here unless you’ve memorized the course by heart. And even then, the relentless greens will gobble up even the best golfers.
And that does it for our list of the worst courses in PGA Tour 2K25. Do you agree with our list, or did we leave out some of your most disliked courses? Let us know in the comments.
