MLB The Show 25 Reveals First Batch of Team Affinity Players

*cracks knuckles*

We’re only days away from the release of MLB The Show 25. In fact, anyone who’s preordered a special edition of San Diego Studio’s baseball sim will be given early access beginning on March 14, allowing them to progress through modes such as Diamond Dynasty before anyone else. In turn, SDS has begun to reveal more and more about what content will be available in Diamond Dynasty on day one. Earlier today, we were treated to an extensive list of legends that will be in MLB The Show 25. And now, we know what the first Team Affinity cards will be.

For anyone who isn’t caught up, Team Affinity will be going through some changes this year, as are other components of Diamond Dynasty. Instead of it being focused on divisions, Team Affinity will be swapping to a “My Journey” format that features individual teams instead. And because of there no longer being a Sets & Seasons restriction in the game, the My Journey programs will continue to be updated over time with each passing season.

Here are all of the cards that will be available first for Team Affinity: My Journey in MLB The Show 25:

Because of the power creep, these first cards in Team Affinity: My Journey are all rated as 85 diamonds. But not all of them will be equal. As in past iterations of MLB The Show, there will be meta swings and pitch mixes that will make certain cards more valuable than others.

I expect Babe Ruth, Craig Biggio, James Wood, Todd Helton, and Alfonso Soriano to be the most sought out of this bunch due to them always being fan favorites. In terms of pitchers, Rollie Fingers is always one of the strongest relievers in the game and Roy Halladay has one of the nastiest, most deceptive cutters you’ll face from any pitcher.
