At 3 PM (EST) / 12 PM (PST) today, MLB The Show 25 Diamond Dynasty will be receiving three new cards that players can earn through a variety of methods. For one, Toronto Blue Jays legend Jose Bautista will be receiving an 88-rated Diamond card that players can earn by completing the Drop 3 missions for the Multiplayer Program. The card is based on Bautista’s 2012 All-Star season. Far from his best season, but a .886 OPS is always good.

The other two cards will be available to anyone who goes flawless in Battle Royale — shortstop Jimmy Rollins and pitcher Andy Pettitte. Both cards are 88-rated. Rollins’ card is based on his 2009 season in which he helped lead the Phillies to a World Series appearance, and Pettitte’s card is based on his 2005 season with the Houston Astros. Pettitte’s performance in 2005 with the ‘Stros was unbelievable. During that season, he won 17 games while pitching to a 2.39 ERA and a 1.030 WHIP.

Considering Rollins’ domination last year and Pettitte’s always juice pitch mix, I expect both of those cards to be good for anyone who can muster a 10-0 record in BR. Jose Bautista’s card, however, will be much easier to achieve.

We’re still awaiting word on what today’s new program will be, so stay tuned for that around noon.
