MLB The Show 25 Adds 99 Overall Scott Rolen as Collection Reward

SDS had been hinting at a new legend joining MLB The Show 25 Diamond Dynasty today and delivered with a 99 overall Scott Rolen that acts as the first major collection reward that spans the entire mode. It will not be cheap to acquire, and the point isn’t really to snag him today but rather build towards him over the next couple weeks.

You’re essentially going to need 99 percent of the cards currently available in the game, so it’s a collection that becomes easier over time as more and more cards are released. The 99 OVR Rolen was released alongside a Reds Program that will net you an 87 OVR Rolen and 90 OVR Johnny Cueto.

As for the card itself, hard to really poke any holes in it. Rolen has Homebody, Night Player, First-Pitch Hitter, Unfazed, Breaking Ball Hitter, and Situational Hitter quirks so maybe he could be even more stacked there. But on the hitting end he’s got 90 vision and 109 clutch to go with the expected strong hitting stats. I suppose 65 speed is the weakest part about the card, but Rolen was never known for his speed.

The only advice I have is just don’t sweat it. There will be lots of Flash Sales and new cards, so if you can’t afford Rolen right now just give it a little time and enjoy the collection process along the way.
