    Like who??

Not going to sit here and list them you’re going to have to go thru them yourself.
Also of note: for some reason I butcher creating Asian faces. What they have in the Long Ball Beasts look well done.
Is it fine if I use these rosters for my RTTS player?
Would these be much better than SDS's Live Rosters?
I'm new to these rosters and I have heard these the best ones for MLB the show and was hoping someone could give a brief breakdown on what makes it the best?

I had avoided all the issues with the Xbox servers this weekend so far, and then about a half hour after these dropped, got booted out.
Looked good from what I could see. I applied the ratings updates from the lastest roster update (it was just increasing Julio Rodriguez's speed and then like 4 pitch ratings/mixes adjustments, including Ohtani). Was looking over equipment and the only kinda off things I had found was they had put Austin Riley in Under Armor cleats and Franklin Gloves (he is generic for both in the SDS rosters and Mizuno for both irl), and d'Arnaud was still in generic catcher's gear (instead of Nike). So once Game Pass is working again, I'm gonna go through and try and get Catcher's in their right gear again.

Have a probably easy question since I play franchise and I've never looked at the long ball beasts and whatnot. To have them in franchise mode I just opt for the legend free agents to be allowed right?

How do I get rid of a bunch of players ratings over 99...trout 125 hit power

From what I've done I just go into the player. Once you try and adjust it automatically goes to 99

Wanted to ask, could someone list all the changes I should manually make for the rosters to be up to date with the live ones?
(For example Julio Rodriguez ratings update)
Re: over 100 ratings...so when u sim a few games trout and others ratings go back down...however it reads as if they lost their attributes...this was an issue last year and hampers franchise mode greatly. Hopefully scea fixes this.

In general, you can just go here to see the newest update: https://mlb22.theshow.com/roster_updates
But that won't show which pitches got adjusted (which doesn't happen very often). So, for this one, Julio Rodriguez up to 98 speed. And then the following pitchers should have these pitch mixes/ratings:
    Shohei Ohtani (LAA)
    4seam - 89/72/53
    Slider - 57/91/99
    Splitter - 83/98/73
    Cutter - 59/75/69
    Curve - 66/64/76
    Tyler Mahle (CIN) -
    4seam - 73/77/90
    Slider - 68/69/56
    Splitter - 59/78/99
    Cutter - 48/62/90
    Helsley
    4seam - 99/77/73
    Cutter - 53/86/86
    12-6 Curve - 68/70/69
    Circle Change - 3/54/48
    Phillips
    4seam - 80/71/64
    Slider - 55/69/99
    Cutter - 76/68/58
    Changeup - 13/58/85

which top 100 prospect list are they using when they say they are rerating them? MLB official or a different one like fangraphs? just wondering who exactly they are rerating.
Question, I’ve downloaded the roster to start over my franchise. However when I load up a new franchise with Ridins Rosters, any players that were in Minors (injured) eg. Sale, are called back up to MLB team when I start the franchise. Do I need to manually send everyone to the IL, or am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks!
Very impressed with these rosters, Riden and Co, very well done, best ever that I can see looking at them for 15 minutes. Usually check out the Giants first, as that's whom I'm most familiar with. NOT a complaint, but first went to the FA's and the Xtra teams like Long Ball (Wow, Japan and Korea and So. America represented.) Noticed a couple "strange" things though as in why some players are listed as FA's, but soon realized now you have too many real players, some won't fit in the 93 man rosters unless you swap, (Damn you, lol). Noticed:
Alex Dickerson (Atl), B. Bradley (Cleve) were just sent to minors, or DFA'd then not claimed and sent to the minors. I'm sure there others.
    D. Rincones on Long Ball, F. Labour on FA's, are on Richmond (SF AA), but you have to fit them, swap out, NOT A BAD PROBLEM TO HAVE, it's OK!!!!
Also, how to edit C's Bart and Casali to reflect Bart as the starter, Bart up, Casali down? Pitchers have been making Bart not look good lately, but Bart is the starter and rated -5 less than Casali.
    Just FYI.
Now, just have to move injured players up to the MLB teams from A Ball as I like to start each team in Franchise or RTTS with their best possible players at each level (It's again, ok, have to do it every year.) EXCELLENT job and Kudos to everyone that contributed.

My issue may be the solution for you. Every time I try to start a franchise with RidinRosters they default the injured players placed in A/AA/AAA back to the MLB roster.

I play mostly RTTS, not really sure if this works in RTTS if you just start a RTTS , then this happens as well? Does it? Will save me a ton of time, I'm always such a stickler for accuracy, I usually spend a lot of time going over every teams minors for accuracy, but this roster is so up to date, I think it will not take long to make it all to my liking. Thanks for the reply.
Thank you to the whole team @ RidinsRosters. Thank you all for all the hard work you guys put in to give us these great rosters. Now let the fun begin!

Yes, this was the whole point. We tried to keep as many default players in as possible while trying to keep rosters accurate as possible and adding prospects. Instead of having a bunch of free agents that would be classified as rookies we made a choice to just keep as many guys in as possible and just move guys to the FA/Legends lists when we ran out of space. Gives the roster flexibility and allows people to use whoever they want however they want. We know some people don't like it, but it was better than the alternative.

Bro. I’m pretty sure every player on the 40 man roster comes to mlb in preseason when you start a franchise. If you don’t want them coming up, take them off the 40 man roster before you start franchise. It’s been this way for 5+ years.
I went through and edited some of the catchers that I could find. I think (reasonably so) a lot of these were set to different things before the Nike gear was added to the game in the update. They caught some (especially in the American League) and switched them over to Nike, but didn't get all of them. I didn't really check prospects. What's in parentheses is what they should be swapped to if you so desire.
    BAL - Robinson Chirinos (Nike)
    BOS - Kevin Plawecki (Nike)
    TB - Francisco Mejia (Nike)
TOR - Danny Jansen (Nike), Alejandro Kirk (All-Star, including All-Star mask), Zack Collins (Nike, and a Traditional Mask)
    CHW - Reese McGuire (Nike)
    LAA - Kurt Suzuki (Nike)
ATL - Manny Piña (Nike), Travis d'Arnaud (Nike), William Contreras (Nike)
MIA - Jacob Stallings (Nike), Willans Astudillo (Traditional Mask), Payton Henry (All-Star)
    NYM - James McCann (Nike)
    PHI - Austin Wynns (Nike)
    CHC - Willson Contreras (Nike)
    CIN - Sandy Leon (Nike)
MIL - Victor Caratini (Nike), Alex Jackson (Nike), Pedro Severino (Nike)
    PIT - Roberto Perez (Nike)
    STL - Andrew Knitzer (Nike)
ARI - Greyson Greiner (Nike), Daulton Varsho (Nike)
    LAD - Austin Barnes (Nike)
    SD - Luis Camousano (Nike)
    SF - Joey Bart (Nike)
Also found Austin Riley (ATL), Yan Gomes (CHC), Jake Rogers (DET), and Austin Romine who should all have Mizuno gloves, batting gloves, and cleats (Gomes, Rogers, and Romine should also seemingly have Mizuno catcher's gear, but it doesn't exist in the game).

I know I’ve played this game over 10 years, I start the franchise on regular season start, no spring training. But yes that should be the trick, I haven’t started a franchise since 2019, thanks bro.

It's all amazingly awesome. Sooooo many "REAL, ACTIVE" players to use and able to move around, yes, to anyone's liking. Made a few rating adjustments based on their actual current minor league stats, moved players to what level they are at now, edit a few from SP to RP, or vice versa, ex. Plassmeyer has started 6 games for the River Cats, rated only a 50 (by SDS, not you), moved him up a bit in rating as I don't like anyone rated in the 50's to be in AAA or higher, moved F. Labour to SF, put G. McCray to FA list, raised Bart to a 78, stuff like that, and am done.
The ratings stuff, I see some changes you guys did well, know that wasn't really your goal, not interested in equipment really, and I appreciate when I see people on OS that have proper pitcher's repertoire edits to make.
You guys did all the hard work, getting rid of the Legends and creating so many players, updating the rosters, ALL GREAT STUFF and very much appreciated, as always. Just going to move the other teams injured up to MLB or AAA status and go from there. Starting a RTTS on May 8th is unheard of for me, usually spend a few weeks making my own edits, but this roster is tremendously good, best ever! Thank you!

I normally don't do equipment changes, but hey you listed them, thank you. When you mean change to Nike, you mean gloves, chest protectors, guards and everything changeable to Nike? I see there are no Nike masks.

I mean just the catcher's gear; chest protector and leg guards. The only mask changes I did are specifically mentioned.
I normally don't do equipment edits either, but this was a weird year with so much of the catcher's gear being added late and the default rosters having the majority of catchers in generic gear.

    Gotcha. Thanks for the reply.
So just to confirm, again lol we do or do not have to place injured players back on the major league roster? I thought I read something with a patch that would call them back up but after simulating a few months big time major leaguers were still in A ball. I usually just place them in the majors myself but that usually makes the cpu do some weird rosters such as only having three backup players etc.

Just wait on what? A new roster?

A crew on OS annually takes ridins roster and rerates mlb players on their own algorithm based on ZIPs projections, does pitch edits and further fine tunes equipment.
As absolutely unbelievable ridins crews work is, this adds that much more to it. Timing is usually perfect to start a new franchise with as ratings are typically well done and provides a fresh coat of paint.
Edit: clarify algorithm based on ZIPs projections

Is this just an update to Ridin's rosters, or did you change anything as far as ratings or anything else?
I had to change some relievers ratings for the Guardians as they had guys in the low 60s. Those are minor league ratings. Bryan Shaw, who's been one of the MLB's most reliable relievers over the years was rated a woeful 61.
Thanks for all the hard work!! Couple quick notes for future updates for the Padres based on one quick initial run through. RP Sam Williams retired in the off-season. RP Daniel Camarena was released in spring training.

Would adjusting everyone who has over 99 attributes (Trout power, Turner contact, Chapman K/9 etc) affect longevity with roster?
Also no longer can you go 25 man into the regular season and then add the 40 man to get accurate.

You don't need to adjust the ratings. When Sony puts out live roster updates this occurs. It's purely cosmetic. A few games into your franchise it's reverts back to normal.

Doesn't really go back to normal..It just says they lost attribute points...so -26 on hit power vs lefties...for a long term franchise this is a game breaker for progression.

All the tests we ran they reverted back to normal after a couple of games. This has been an issue the last few years and Sony has said it's cosmetic. I haven't experienced the issue you are having. Not saying it doesn't exist either.
somewhat off topic, but was hoping someone could help.
I went through the rosters and made it 26 man.
You used to be able to set 26 man rosters and go into the regular season and then add everyone else to the 40. Well I can't figure out how to do that anymore, i do 30 team control and set lineups/40man/etc to manual and everyone time i start the season it goes straight to 40 man rosters.

Game forces 40 man roster on you to start ST. I used to love this feature. Nothing you can do. I find it easier to sim to the regular season, auto correct the AAA/AA rosters, then make ML adjustments. The game does do a decent job assigning the 26 men to start the season, however lineups need adjusting.

Please don't take this as a complaint because it's not and I apologize before hand if this has already been mentioned, but I'm noticing that quite a few players have multi-year contracts when they should only have 1-year contracts. I've noticed a few at 9 years. The reason for this is because for some reason with the way the show works is when you assign a player from free agents to a team it automatically generates a contract and sometimes it's 3-5 years but the weird ones are 9.
Again, this isn't a complaint because it's not a problem for me to go in and fix and I truly do appreciate these rosters and have used them for years. I just wanted to point this out if it hadn't already been pointed out.
Now I can start my real franchise. I have enjoy my release day roster with Veterans gameplay Braves test franchise. Just made it past the all star game playing a game or two of every series. Now it's time for the real thing. Thanks Ridin and crew. The Show 22 is a gem.
