Madden 22 Gameplay in 4K: Full Game With Presentation Between Packers and Bears

In this video, we take a look at the gameplay in Madden 22. It is an exhibition Bears vs. Packers game, and we tried not to skip any presentation elements, including the still very lacking halftime show.

There are only a few slight improvements noticeable from Madden 21 in the graphical department (at least at first glance). The Justin Fields render looks great, so there is no need for a creation. Some may see this as a Madden 21 updated roster on next-gen systems when it comes to the graphics. It does look a little sharper than Madden 21 on PS5, as evidenced by the Justin Fields player model, but yeah.

Let us know what you see.

  1. Still A LOT of work is needed. I don't know the difficulty level but in the first half I saw:
    - there's no defense (probably fixable, but I guess in the end, players will need to take a huge amount of time in the sliders to find an acceptable balance and realistic gameplay).
    - Horrible decision by the NFL MVP in the 10 last yards (didn't even try to throw in the end zone, poor check down for nothing on 3rd down).
    - Again curious logic with time management. 39 seconds left before half time, Packers are calling an inside run, no gain... and they call a time out.
    watched the first drive.
graphics/animations look really good at certain points, nothing wowed me as far as gameplay.
running backs still look robotic on some run plays
I think they need more motion capture for running and walking and cutting.
a big annoyance is the cut scenes between plays. whatever happened to the real-life breathing feature they touted a few years ago. they could have used some of that between plays instead of the crowd, replay, coach on the sideline.
How about showing some players going in and out of the game after plays. there is so much they could have done.
I still think they need to work on their presentation.
also, the audio from the stands/crowd on the cut scenes sticks out like a sore thumb. its not properly mixed. the only time the audio sounds like that during a broadcast is prior to a game, when theyll use the audio from said camera. During a game, if they show the stands/crowds it usually mixes the broadcast audio of the crowd with the video, not the audio from said camera.
Looks the same as 21 with subtle improvements like resolution and FPS but that's to be expected with the new consoles supporting higher res etc.  But nothing has really changed regarding new updated next gen football graphics and gameplay.
No highlights of other games from around the league yet eh? Hardware still not good/strong enough yet maybe? No refs again? ok.
No refs is a big joke on these new consoles. That would be the first thing they should have put back, just the add some authenticity. Apparently its THAT hard for them to code it back in without issues. It says a lot about the code I guess... Or about EA developers, I dunno.
Xbosx Series X has a graphics and a performance mode I read. Performance mode is 120fps gameplay and 60fps cutscenes. Could this be confirmed? 30fps cutscenes (same goes for nba2k and mlb the show and f1 2021) really breaks the immersion for me. Is it really that hard?
I do like the background noice during gameplay. It seems to differ per stadium. No more Zombie Nation after ever play, thats a good thing.
    Cheers!
Having watched many games of Madden 22, the gameplay is the same as Madden with the same bugs, poor zone and mam to man defence etc etc. Graphics a bit better. So I won't be buying it for the first time in years. I will check back after the first 5 patches around October as review of worth it then. EA a year doing what?
I’ve been saying this for years and it seems like I’m the only person in the world that this bothers, but…
They STILL haven’t fixed the Packers’ logo. The G is too damn big on the helmet. It’s most obvious on the newer helmets, as the G clips into one of the holes near the back of the helmet, when IRL there’s about a half inch of space between that hole and the logo.
The G has been oversized since the N64 days and was never fixed. 6 console generations, same problem

Spot On…! I wonder sometimes if the Devs at EA are even Football Fans, simple things as stated above can bring much needed immersion -realism- and enjoyment to Madden..yet, still we get this
Haven't bought a madden since 18. These videos are exactly why. Same stale and predictable animations. Same clipping issues. Same dry 10 year old commentary. Same terrible defensive system. Player collision still looks like something from PS1. Do they even try with these things anymore? It's the same thing with NBA 2K. Updated rosters. Some new visuals. Some unnecessary new feature that no one wanted or asked for and then A SHIT LOAD OF MARKETING. to hype the game to the max and boom $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$  NBA 2K doesnt even release gameplay videos until a week before the game is released. These companies are  a joke and drastically need competition.

Tweet this to the devs (with multiple accounts if necessary, and get other Packer fans to join you). Got the 49ers metallic helmets and the sun moved to the right place at Levi's doing this.
    EDIT — politely, of course.
