The big thing to note with these new Faces of the Franchise cards is there’s more positional flexibility than you would expect. What pitchers are maybe worth using will take some time to shake out, but if you know you like certain swings, SDS is giving you the chance to squeeze some of these guys into lineups when they otherwise might be a little hard to find room for right now. Jorge Posada and Hank Aaron highlight that group of players who have more flexibility than expected, but it’s not limited to just the two of them since someone like Pudge also get a 2B secondary position.
All in all, there are still haves and have nots within this group of 30 players, but you’ll be able to snag three of the five players from each division before having to go to the marketplace for everyone else.
