After years of Sony exclusivity, MLB The Show arrived on other platforms four years ago, even featuring in Xbox’s Game Pass service previously, but the expansion into other console markets comes during a spell of confusion for PC players.

If you’re looking to find out whether MLB The Show 25 is available to purchase or play on PC, we’ve got all the details you need.

No, MLB The Show 25 is not available on PC. While MLB The Show 24 was available to play on PC through Xbox Game Pass using the Cloud service, that is not available for MLB The Show 25, and the previous entry in the series is also no longer available.

Unfortunately, this means you’re out of luck if you’re on PC and want to play the title, with it highly unlikely that there will be any way to play the game away from console. Instead, the only way to play the game is on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch.

The PC absence of MLB The Show 25 isn’t too surprising given the franchise’s lack of history on the platform, though there have been ways around the restrictions in previous years, but it comes in a year where options for players have been restricted further with no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version.

Considering we’re now half a decade into the current gen era in gaming, the lack of post-gen support shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise but no dedicated PC version, or a way to play the game on keyboard via streaming, will be a cause of frustration.

It may be that MLB The Show 25 is available via Xbox’s cloud gaming service in the future, though this is purely speculative and is not guaranteed. In previous years, MLB The Show released as a day-one title on Xbox Game Pass but the latest entry is absent from Microsoft’s subscription service.

Those without access to a console will unfortunately have to go without MLB The Show 25, at least for the time being, and unless a significant change in strategy is adopted by San Diego Studio, it’s likely the franchise will remain unavailable on PC for the foreseeable future.
