How To Start a New Superstar Career In Madden 26

Get a fresh start!

Madden 26 has a ton of great game modes, but none quite compare to Superstar Mode. It’s one of the main attractions for newer players who not only want to try out the gameplay but also build a career on their own terms. Create your avatar, choose your stats and team, and get on to the pitch.

But before you do all that, you need to make a new superstar career. And in this short guide, I’ll explain how to do just that in a few simple and easy-to-follow steps. So come along to figure out how you can make your very own Superstar Career.

If you want to start a new career in Madden 26’s Superstar Mode, you’re in luck. All it takes is a few easy steps, and you’ll be on your way. Here’s a step-by-step you can follow:

  1. Go to the Character tab
  2. Click the Swipe Character option
  3. Choose which position you want to play (Linebacker, Cornerback, Wide Receiver, Halfback)

And you’re done. It was that simple. Now, the last portion of the guide asks you to pick your preferred position, so let’s talk about why choosing the right position is important.

Choosing The Right Position For You

Now, the first rule of choosing the right position is simple: pick one you like. But for a lot of players, they’re either comfortable with multiple roles or have no idea which roles do what. Which is where this guide should come in handy.

I won’t go into too much depth to avoid confusing new players, but as a rule of thumb, HB and WR are offensive positions while LB and CB are defensive positions. An HB has one of the most interactive positions on the field, constantly under the spotlight, running with the ball. You can have great highlight plays when it works, but absolute crushing losses if you mess up.

WR, on the other hand, is comparatively less punishing. It is significantly impacted by your team’s skill, particularly your QB’s awareness. It also has a pretty high skill ceiling, but the skill floor for this position is quite low.

For the defensive positions in Madden 26, let’s take CB first. Cornerback is one of the most important jobs on the field. Firstly, it can shut down any corner plays, leaving your opponents with limited options. Secondly, your tackles and interceptions can completely change the state of the game. However, it is a high-pressure situation, and messing up can mean a loss.

Finally, we have Linebacker. Similar to WRs, LBs aren’t always in the spotlight, but doing your job well is pivotal to the team’s success. A LB’s main job is to secure tackles, sacks, and interceptions at every play. The ball won’t always come your way, so on-hand ball time is lower, but it’s an easier role to get started with in Madden 26.
