As all longtime fans know, having a few grab tricks in your bag can both open your world and boost your score by a few welcome thousands in skate.

But given the game’s wide array of options, going over all of them can be a mighty endeavor of its own, especially if this is your first ever drop. To help you learn the ropes, here’s how to perform all of the grab tricks in skate.

How To Perform All Grab Tricks In Skate

As shown in the game’s tutorial section, you can perform basic grab tricks in skate. by holding R2/RT, L2/LT, or both while in the air. More specifically, hold R2/RT for a BS Grab, L2/LT for an FS Grab, and both bumpers for a Double Grab. You can also perform Tail, Nose, Stale, Weddle, Crail, Seatbelt, and Rocket Air Grabs by doing the following. Keep in mind that all of the motions featured in this guide are performed with the right analog stick.

While on the ground, you can also grab your Board by holding R2/RT for a frontside grab, L2/LT for a backside one, and both bumpers for a Double Ground Grab. The Coffin can then be performed by adding â–¢/X and X/A to the latter.

How To Perform Hand And Foot Plants

Lastly, those looking to pose can perform both FS and BS Hand Plants by holding R1/RB while close to an edge. Foot Plant tricks, however, are similar to One-Foot ones and can be performed in the following ways:

A Few Tips To Master Grab Tricks In Skate

To start, it’s important to point out that even the simplest modified grab trick demands hang time, so don’t try to pull them off while lacking momentum. So you can build the latter efficiently, we then recommend practicing pumping in specific locations, with the ramp located in the northmost portion of Bonski Skatepark being an ideal starting spot.

If you feel the need to go even higher, spinning can also help immensely, as it allows you to preserve your momentum following most tricks. You can then use that extra punch to mix things up and go for some backflip grab combos, which guarantee a good payoff. While you can perform spin tricks by simply moving your left stick diagonally while in the air, flips can be made by holding it up or down while grabbing your Board.
