FIFA 23
FIFA 23 Trailer, Screenshots, HyperMotion2, Features & More Revealed - Launches on September 30
EA and the FIFA team have revealed their official FIFA 23 trailer, screenshots, features and more today. The game launches on September 30 with feature parity on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It will also feature cross-play on the same platform generation.
PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Stadia, and PC versions of FIFA 23 will be cross-play compatible with one another, and PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of FIFA 23 will be cross-play compatible with one another.
FIFA 23 will feature women’s club teams for the first time and will provide the pinnacle of men’s and women’s international football with a free post-launch update that will include the men’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023.
The Barclays Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema will be available at launch. This includes 19,000+ players spread across 700+ teams across over 100 stadiums and over 30 leagues, including UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa Conference League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamericana, Premier League, Bundesliga, and LaLiga Santander.
The advancements to FIFA 23’s HyperMotion2 technology and physics system have unlocked an array of new features making the gameplay experience feel more immersive than ever. Team and player movement across the pitch is more responsive, smart and authentic, whether jockeying against a defender or claiming an aerial ball against an attacker as a keeper. Players can also look forward to a new intelligent dribbling system, a more natural and fluid transition to shooting, all-new acceleration mechanics, enhanced player awareness and much more. With the debut of women’s club teams, all-new animations informed by the movement of real-life female players have been added to FIFA 23.
The HyperMotion2 technology is only available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Stadia. Check out more FIFA 23 details in the latest PlayStation Blog and the official FIFA 23 website for more details. EA plans to release plenty of more details prior to release.

"Enjoy a new way to play and build your dream squad with FUT Moments and a revamped Chemistry system in FIFA Ultimate Team™, or live out your football dreams in Career Mode as you define your personality as a player, or manage as some of football’s most famous names."
"Define your personality as a player, manage as some of football’s most famous names, and enjoy a new way to play your season with Playable Highlights in the most authentic FIFA Career Mode experience to date."
Playable highlights sounds like Madden's Key Moments thing where you can jump in and out, but that is basically already in the current visual sim engine. "Most Authentic" could mean anything lol. Was hoping they would give us some real info like Madden did on trailer release day.
Why would they throw away the code for a name change..?
they only need to change the name on the box.
The code belongs to EA.
But cool that they added women's club teams.
Yeah, this is #1 for me, far and away. I don't care how real Hypermotion 2 makes things. If my defenders act like henchmen in an old martial arts movie, dancing around the ball carrier but never actually doing anything, then I'm going to be extremely disappointed.
It's utterly maddening to watch a star centerback literally get out of the way of a striker and give the striker a clean shot against my goalie. I would be embarrassed if that was part of a game I'd created.
I don't expect career mode will be all that different. The other gameplay stuff is mostly marketing hype, as usual. I just hope they iron out some of the bugs and exploits.
I don't care what they play online, but if you take team defending out of a team sport I'm pretty sure you've created an entirely different thing of your own design, so I don't see the point of playing Fifa over ...Super Mario.
I just wish they would bring back qualifying with all the teams. It’s part of the reason why I still have a PS3. To play fifa World Cup 2014.

Oh I hear you. I remember back in the day when FIFA Road to World Cup 98 came out and you could play with any team and go through the entire qualifying process.
Hopefully they have all the World Cup teams and stadiums fully licensed like in 2018.

Throw in the terrible AI roster management in both Player and regular Career Mode too. Ruins CM for a lot of folks when the rosters are so terribly imbalanced after 2-3 years.
