FIFA 21 Trailer & Some Features Revealed

EA has posted their official FIFA 21 trailer today, featuring global cover athlete, Kylian Mbappé, which was announced yesterday. FIFA 21 Ambassadors, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Erling Haaland, and João Félix have also made an appearance in the trailer.

From more ways to play with friends through new social elements, to having more control than ever to manage every career moment, players can experience The World’s Game like never before.

Playing football with friends is why people love the sport so much. In FIFA 21, players can jump into a more social street football experience with VOLTA SQUADS, a new way for four players to join together or drop into the community with other VOLTA FOOTBALL players and win as one in 5v5 online cooperative play.

In FIFA Ultimate Team, team up with friends online and compete for rewards with FUT Co-Op to enjoy new ways to play the most popular mode in the game.

“This year, we are bringing fans together through social experiences that elevate both the small-sided experience and the excitement felt on the professional pitch, offering the most authentic and interactive EA SPORTS FIFA experience to date,” said Aaron McHardy, Executive Producer, EA SPORTS FIFA. “Along with one of the biggest updates to career mode yet and enhanced gameplay realism that continues to bridge the gap between the real and virtual world of football, fans have more ways than ever to play the beautiful game of football we all love.”

FIFA 21 is scheduled to release on October 9 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you pre-order the FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition or Champions Edition you can play 3 days earlier, on October 6.

  1. Looks good but I can't even say I'm cautiously optimistic. EA will need to earn back any good will from me and it will take consistent attention over multiple releases to make that happen. Yeah it looks like a nice step but if they just up and abandon the mode again after this what's the point. I'm usually pretty optimistic but I guess I'm just glass half empty on this.
Sent from a galaxy far far away.
Yeah, this is interesting news as far as career mode specifically. I'm cautious as well though, I'm still playing a career mode with players complaining about playtime despite only missing a game.
But if these changes are properly implemented and the changes from last year actually work, career mode will be great. I would personally really like realistic transfers -- top teams not selling anyone in their first team, players saying 'nah mate, you've just come up from the championship, I'm too good for your team' (they can use other verbiage if they so prefer).
The days of getting Mbappe on a free should be over ideally.
