Frontier Developments has shared their F1 Manager 2022 overall driver ratings today prior to their scheduled Twitch livestream tomorrow at 11:00 AM ET. The team plans to provide additional details on scouting and ratings during the broadcast.
F1 Manager 2022 prioritizes authenticity, and this applies equally to driver ratings. Each driver is rated based on a combination of nine performance ratings, all based on actual racing data collected directly from the Formula One. Multiple factors contribute to the calculation of each performance rating, which is based on data spanning previous seasons, including the 2022 season so far. These ratings will be adjusted as players, and their drivers, develop throughout their careers.
As a starting point, driver performance ratings are broken into three sections, each with three individual attribute ratings; ‘Pace’ ratings indicate the driver’s raw speed, regarding Cornering, Braking, and Reactions, while ‘Consistency’ stats such as Accuracy, Control, and Smoothness minimize the possibility of errors in the driving practice. In addition, ‘Racecraft’ ratings offer drivers flexibility to adapt to changing conditions. These ratings include Adaptability, Overtaking, and Defending.
