Today’s news that EA Sports UFC 4 is under development hardly comes as a surprise.
When the licensing deal was announced, EA Sports mentioned we’d expect new UFC titles every two years or so. The last EA Sports UC title, EA Sports UFC 3, released on January 30, 2018.
With that in mind, a release date of January 2020 or October 2019 is probably a good bet for the game and would be right on schedule.
While it’s too early to speculate too far with what the game could have, you could bet an expanded card mode of some type would be included as well as the expected improvements to gameplay.
Another area the new game may try to really dive into is the eSports arena. A game like EA Sports UFC meshes well with that concept and may find support from the UFC in promoting a product.
The news today is hardly surprising to be sure, and it’s a sure bet we’ll be getting more news as we move into the summer and fall months. Stay tuned for more!
