EA FC 26 Make Your Idol Evolution, Explained
As a true chain, FC 26‘s Make Your Idol evolution can be completed in four steps, unlocked by reaching levels 1, 3, 7, and 21 in the Season Pass. Here’s an overview of each:
Step 1: The Selection Phase
Available upon reaching level 1 in the Season 6 Season Pass, the first step in the Make Your Idol evolution allows you to turn any 85-OVR or under South Korean or Japanese player into an 85-rated World Tour Evolutions pick, thus enabling them for the chain and providing an all-around stat boost. It also comes with a preselected lineup of 12 players made for it. Here’s an overview of all of them:
- Mika Hamano (79 / CAM)
- Wataru Endo (79 / CDM)
- Lee Kang In (79 OVR / RW)
- Hiroki Ito (78 OVR / CB)
- Takumi Minamino (78 OVR / LM)
- Lee Jae Sung (77 OVR / CAM)
- Daichi Kamada (77 OVR / CM)
- Hwang In Beom (77 OVR / CM)
- Hwang Hee Chan (75 OVR / ST)

Step 2: First Steps And PS+
At Season Pass level 3, you will be able to further boost your chosen player via the Make Your Idol – Attacker, Midfielder, or Defender 1 evolutions. They offer an 87-OVR boost, a 3+ SM/WF, huge attribute increases, and the following PlayStyles:
- Make Your Idol – Attacker: Finesse Shot and Quick Step
- Make Your Idol – Midfielder: Incisive Pass and Press Proven
- Make Your Idol – Defender: Intercept and Bruiser
Together with the above, the game will also give you a choice between six PlayStyles+ evolutions, allowing you to also give Tiki Taka+, Incisive Pass+, Low Driven Shot+, Technical+, Jockey+, or Intercept+ to your player.
Step 3: A Second PS+ Is On The Way
At Season Pass level 7, you will be able to once again upgrade your card via a new wave of Attacker, Midfielder, and Defender evos, all while getting access to your second PS+ choice. This time, the choice will be between Finesse Shot+, Technical+, Pinged Pass+, Rapid+, Quick Step+, and Anticipate+.
Here’s an overview of what each of the position-focused evolutions will provide. Keep in mind that your choice here does not depend on your previous one. For example, you are free to mix and match and pick Attacker 2, even if your previous choice was a midfielder or defender evolution.
- Make Your Idol – Attacker 2: +2 OVR (89), +2 SHO, +10 Curve, +10 Crossing, +10 Short Pass, +10 Spring Speed, +20 Jumping, +10 Long Pass, +10 Vision, +20 Aggression, +20 Stamina, +10 Acceleration, +10 FK Accuracy. Tiki Taka, Low Driven Shot, and Rapid.
- Make Your Idol – Midfielder 2: +2 OVR (89), +4 PAS, +4 DRI, +7 DEF, +4star SM/WF, +20 Stamina. Quick Step, Intercept, and Anticipate.
- Make Your Idol – Defender 2: +2 OVR (89), +3 PAC, +10 Short Pass, +10 Long Pass, +10 Agility, +10 Balance, +10 Reactions, +10 Composure, +10 Interceptions, +10 Heading Accuracy, +10 Defensive Awareness, +10 Standing Tackle, +10 Sliding Tackle, +20 Jumping, +15 Stamina, +20 Strength, and +20 Aggression. Anticipate, Jockey, and Log Ball Pass.
Step 4: The Birth Of An Idol
The final step in the chain, reaching level 21 in the Season Pass, gives you access to the final Make Your Idol evolutions, once again divided between the three types. As you can see below, they reward you with your final three PlayStyles, provide another series of stat upgrades, and offer players of all positions the 5/5 WF/SM and 91-OVR combo.
- Make Your Idol – Attacker 3: +2 OVR (91), +4 SHO, +4 DRI, +4 SM/WF, Incisive Pass, First Touch, and Trickster

The Best Players For The Make Your Idol Chain Evolution In EA FC 26
Although the evolution chain can be used to create monstrosities if paired with long-term Bronze and Silver investments, I consider Gold Rare Heung Min Son, Gold Rare Yui Hasegawa, and World Tour Hiroki Ito to be the best picks for those looking for a striker, an all-around midfielder, and a versatile CB/LB, respectively. The latter is also the best overall pick within the pre-selected twelve World Tour players lineup.
You can check out the best evolution path and PS+ duo for each of them below. We also added a few alternative picks, including World Tour Takumi Minamino. Why Minamino? Well, I just became a fan of his during his Liverpool days and felt the urge to get him on my squad.
