CM Punk is still throwing jabs at Seth Rollins despite the latter being sidelined with an injury. The Visionary hasn’t been seen on TV ever since he was betrayed and attacked by his own faction, The Vision, on an episode of Monday Night RAW.
Although it seems that he’s still on his former rivals’ minds, even when he’s out of action. At least, CM Punk still remembers him, even if it’s not in the best way, as he seemingly taunted him. However, we’re sure it might just fuel Rollins’ fire to get back in the ring.
During a WWE live event on December 30, in Ft Myers, Florida, CM Punk put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Bronson Reed. This live event was part of the Holiday Tour. After the successful title defense, Punk pulled out Rollins’ iconic title swing move to seemingly stick it to his former rival.
There’s Still Unresolved Tension Between Punk And Rollins
CM Punk and Seth Rollins have a lot of history between them. The two stars have made it clear that they don’t like each other time and time again. Rollins has even tried to completely crush Punk several times throughout their feud.
From the moment the Straight Edge Superstar returned to WWE, the two stars were destined to throw hands against one another. They would have their chance to take their anger out as well in several matches. But their hatred for one another has seemingly only grown over the course of their lengthy feud.
Rollins even stepped on Punk’s big crowning moment this year as he cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase on Summerslam. He stole the World Heavyweight Championship away from the Second City Saint in an incredible moment that was dubbed the Ruse of the Century. It seems Punk hasn’t forgotten that either and is mocking his rival to return to the ring once again.
Rollins Is Currently Out With An Injury
We’re sure that Seth Rollins likely noticed Punk’s taunt at him. Perhaps, this might even motivate him to recover as quickly as he can for a measured payback against his formidable foe.
The Architect is currently healing from a shoulder injury he suffered during a match against Cody Rhodes in Perth. The story is all laid out for him to seek revenge against his former associates in The Vision upon his return and go after the World Heavyweight title again at some point.
