MLB The Show 25’s Road to the Show has been a hit amongst players, especially those willing to grind it out. But with a large array of equipment, perks, and attributes to upgrade, it’s not a short journey. Today, our focus is going to be more on the perks and the benefits of unlocking them.
With 57 perks in total spread across four categories, you won’t unlock them overnight. But knowing which ones to go for first is essential in leveling up your character efficiently. No matter if you’re playing a catcher or pitcher, upgrading specific perks before others will greatly enhance your gameplay. So let’s take a look at all the perks MLBTS’25 has to offer.
Perk Division
Before we list down all the perks and their unlock requirements, you need to know what categories they fall into. Here’s a short breakdown of the categories and how many perks they have:
- Batting – 23 Perks
- Pitching – 14 Perks
- Fielding – 11 Perks
- Baserunning – 9 Perks
All 57 perks are divided between these 4 categories, directly correlating to the major aspects of your player’s skillset. If you’re more interested in batting, you could opt for batting perks before unlocking the rest.
Some perks have easier unlock requirements than others, so you might unlock them just by playing well. You can upgrade perks once you unlock them using VC, but that comes further down the line.

These are all 57 perks you can unlock in MLB The Show 25. From getting some extra contact ability when losing to a better fielding side to locking down the game, you have a variety of perks to aid you in Road to the Show.
Remember that while perks are permanently unlocked, they each have unique trigger timings. Until those requirements are met, their effects will not come into play. You can also upgrade these perks once you’ve unlocked them to receive better stats. However, this will cost you in-game currency.
Other Ways to Enhance RTTS Gameplay

Perks are definitely a big help when it comes to turning the tide in close matches. But they aren’t the only buff you can pick up in MLBTS’25: RTTS. As you progress through the game, you can use Tokens (in-game currency) to upgrade different attributes of your avatar.
These are the character’s base stats like Contact, Power, Running, etc. Make sure to upgrade these as you go along, since these buffs are permanently applied to your player.
Another factor is Equipment. Similar to Perks, Equipment doesn’t provide permanent stats, but temporary buffs until it is equipped. Diamond-tier equipment will give you the best buffs and can be bought with Stubs from The Show Shop.
