Now a staple in the franchise, MLB The Show 26 allows elite players to get substantial boosts in performance via select Quirks, its equivalent to the Abilities seen in Madden or the PlayStyles all EA FC players have come to love.

MLB The Show 26 features a total of 19 Quirks, with many of its top-rated players, like Cover-Man and three-time MVP Aaron Judge, having access to ten via his base card, and a starting selection of nine on Diamond Dynasty. A few of them, however, can provide identical effects, with Rally Monkey and Stopper being the biggest examples. You can check out an overview of all Quirks below, as well as their in-game icons.

Break Outlier
Decreases the break loss of pitches when the pitcher is tired.
Breaking Ball HitterIncreases a player’s ability to hit breaking balls.
Day PlayerIncreases a player’s performance during day games.
Dead RedIncreases a player’s ability to hit fastballs.
FighterIncreases a player’s performance when in the 9th inning or later.
First-Pitch HitterIncreases a player’s ability to hit the first pitch of an at-bat.
HomebodyIncreases a player’s ability to perform when at home games.
Night PlayerIncreases a player’s performance during night games
Outlier IAllows your primary pitch to exceed its velocity limit.
Outlier 2Allows your secondary pitch to exceed its velocity limit.
Pickoff ArtistBoosts a player’s pickoff success rate.
Pinch HitterImproves a player’s pitch hitting.
Rally MonkeyIncreases a player’s performance when their team is behind.

Situational HitterImproves a player’s ability to drive in a runner from the third when at two outs or under.
