The fans have been calling for AJ Lee to return to WWE and reunite with her husband, CM Punk, for some time now. However, it looks as if their wishes could be coming true after a mistake was made.
There have been rumors spreading about the former Divas Champion making a return soon. These rumors seem quite likely now after Punk was attacked by Becky Lynch during his match against Seth Rollins at Clash in Paris. All of this leads fans to believe that Lee is going to surprise everyone and take care of Lynch for her husband.
The rumors seem to have been confirmed now by WWE itself. The official WWE shop account on X has even revealed the date of her return. The account responded to a tweet asking for Lee’s merchandise since she’s returning to the ring. WWE Shop stated that they will have her merchandise ready for her until her match at Wrestlepalooza on Sept 20 comes around. The tweet has since been deleted.

There Have Been Several Hints About AJ Lee’s Return
Many fans were hoping for AJ Lee to make her return to WWE at this year’s Royal Rumble. However, they left home disappointed as she didn’t make an appearance. But it looks now her return is imminent, with all the hints that have been dropping recently.
After CM Punk’s defeat to Seth Rollins at Clash In Paris, the Second City Saint was seen looking at a fan sign with his and Lee’s name on it. Another hint came on Monday Night RAW this week. Punk asked RAW’s general manager, Adam Pearce, about where SmackDown was headed this week. The answer was Chicago, which is Punk’s hometown.
Perhaps WWE is not going to waste any further time and have AJ Lee return this week. Especially, after they made the mistake of spoiling it.
CM Punk and AJ Lee Could Takedown Seth Rollins And Becky Lynch
CM Punk is furious with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch after the Clash in Paris premium live event. Lynch cost the Straight Edge superstar the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after lowblowing him during his match. This allowed Rollins to take advantage and get the win.
The Man laid her hands once again on Punk next week on Monday Night RAW. However, Punk has vowed to make her pay for her actions. It seems that it’s only time until he has his wife, AJ Lee, return to take care of Lynch for him.
All of this is certainly going to lead to a mixed-tag team match at Wrestlepalooza on Sept 20. Although it won’t be much of a surprise anymore, after WWE Shop spoiled it.
