Whether you like it or not, The Island is here to stay in WWE 2K. And Island Mode fans (should anyone consider themselves as such) are still waiting for Chapter 2 in WWE 2K26.
Chapter 2 will take The Island’s story further, unlocking new cutscenes and story routes. The open-world fights, intense faction wars, and thrill of those scrapyard brawls have left people wanting more. Which begs the question? Where is The Island Chapter 2? Well, The Island Chapter 2 is coming soon, and here’s what we know so far.
Where Is The Island Chapter 2

If WWE 2K26 follows the 2K25 plan, The Island Chapter 2 should release in early to mid-May. At the time of writing, there hasn’t been any official news on Chapter 2’s release date.
The recent Patch 1.08 brought a new location, an event tower, and much more to The Island, and it looks like the final update for Chapter 1, which suggests that Chapter 2 is close. For context, here are the official patch notes for The Island section.
Added new shop items and bundle deals
Added new Order of Malice location – complete Chapter 1 to gain access, including:
- New Malice Towers
- New Malice Arena
Added New Event Tower: ManiaMoments!
Added PvP Scrapyard support
- PvP matchmaking option prompted outside of the Scrapyard
Season 1 Championships awarded
This patch suggests that 2K is prepping to release The Island Chapter 2 soon. But, as of now, there is no confirmed release date.
What You Can Expect From The Island Chapter 2
Just for context, the Island Chapter 2 isn’t some standalone DLC or a whole new gamemode. It’s really just the next chapter of the existing Island mode storyline.
It’s going to bring in the next wave of narrative threads, side missions, and faction‑specific content as part of WWE 2K26’s post‑launch roadmap. 2K has confirmed that The Island will roll out three chapters, with Chapter 1 at launch and Chapters 2 and 3 continuing throughout 2026.
For Island mode fans who have already played through Chapter 1, this next chapter heats up the faction war. Expect new story paths with branching routes, new cutscenes, and missions that push you to do more. These rewards often include customization items, unlockables, and progression upgrades tied to your created superstar.
Since the Island mode is designed for replayability, you can loop the story a few times and try out different choices and faction routes. This way, you can experience all alternate endings and unlock pretty much everything the Island mode rewards through its gameplay.
To Sum It Up
So if you’re planning to grind The Island as your main mode, Chapter 2 is just around the corner, and we should get official news in the upcoming weeks.
