WWE 2K25: All Fighting Styles, Ranked

Which fighting style in WWE 2K25 is most effective?

A fighting style defines what a wrestler is in WWE 2K25. Think of them as archetypes that are commonly seen on WWE television and in pro wrestling at large. Each fighting style has a unique skillset with its pros and cons. But which ones offer the most benefits?

As someone who’s played hours upon hours of WWE 2K25 — especially Universe Mode — I’ve had the opportunity to use all of these fighting styles a multitude of times. Therefore, this ranked list will reflect my experience with them and how effective I think they are. However, what works for me might not work for you. One might play WWE 2K25 and come to a completely different conclusion than I regarding the effectiveness of each archetype.

That said, here is every Fighting Style in WWE 2K25, ranked from least effective to most effective.

Giant

As the name suggests, the Giant fighting style is modeled after that of a giant wrestler. As one could predict, Giants are wrestlers who possess tons of size and strength, and deal a ton of damage. However, they are limited when it comes to their athleticism — namely their agility and speed. They’re also not great when it comes to stamina

While there are tons of benefits to choosing the Giant, the downsides are often way too pronounced when against normal-sized wrestlers, which makes up the majority of the in-game roster.

High Flyer

Almost the exact opposite of the Giants, high-flyers are typically smaller, more agile wrestlers who fly around the ring with reckless abandon. They do the most damage when they perform aerial moves, possess good speed, are agile, and have respectable stamina.

That said, High Flyers lack durability and strength, meaning that a few good shots could put them in a sticky situation. It’s high-risk, high-reward for sure. But it’s a risk some won’t be looking to take.

Technical

If there was ever such a thing as a “balanced” class in WWE 2K25, then it would be Technical. Technical wrestlers are ring generals, and are pretty much the embodiment of “jack of all trades, master of none.” They are, however, specialists when it comes to countering and such.

A Technical wrestler will fill most needs. But because there’s nothing particularly great about them, they fit firmly into the middle of this ranking.

Striker

The Striker fighting style emphasizes hard-hitting strikes that break down an opponent before setting them up for bigger moves down the line. A Striker’s bread and butter is overwhelming opponents with high-volume offense.

However, where Strikers fall short is in their damage. Sure, you’ll hit your opponent with more strikes, but those strikes won’t deal as much damage as they do with other archetypes. Think of it like a “quantity above quality” situation. That said, I’ve found them to be extremely effective whenever I’ve used them. They also start with a higher overall before adjusting attributes than others do. For that, Striker ranks second on this list.

Powerhouse

A Powerhouse wrestler is a strength specialist who will inflict a ton of damage on their opponents. Not only that, but they possess decent physical attributes as well, such as stamina, speed, and agility. The only real downside to the Powerhouse archetype is that they lack in technique.

Honestly, this is one of the better fighting styles in WWE 2K25, and one that wrestlers in the light heavyweight class will excel with. Sure, the technique isn’t as high as it can possibly be. But everything else pretty much makes up for it. To give you even a little bit more perspective on that, Roman Reigns — one of the best wrestlers in the game — is a Powerhouse. And what works for the Tribal Chief will work for most.

After you’ve mastered your favorite fighting styles, it’s time to strengthen your movesets — we’ve listed the best 10 in WWE 2K25.
