John Cena is one of the most beloved and respected superstars to come out of the professional wrestling business. However, it seems not everyone has the same love for the WWE icon.
A former WWE star, David Otunga, recently dropped a bombshell video on his official YouTube channel for Cena. Otunga revealed his experience while working with Cena and recounted some traumatic stories in his time in the company.
Otunga recounted several horror stories about being humiliated and abused by Cena in the workplace. In one specific story, Otunga revealed that after he failed to land a planned move during a match with Cena, it led to him being cussed out by the Cenation leader in front of the locker room.
“The worst I’ve ever been cussed out or just disrespected to the point where I questioned if I even wanted to work there anymore, where I don’t make a mistake, and I’m disrespected like this, absolutely not. So I really had to think about that. And if I’m being honest, that changed the way that I saw John Cena forever; it actually changed the way I saw the company, too. Nobody did anything about it. I think Goldust said something to him, but there was never an apology.” Otunga said.
Otunga Claimed Cena Kicked Him Out Of The Locker Room
The video from David Otunga has caused a splash on social media. John Cena is typically looked at as one of the most genuine and kindest superstars from WWE; however, according to Otunga, he has a real dark side to him.
Otunga remembers the abuse he suffered from Cena’s hands while he worked in the company. He maintains that he was even kicked out of the locker room with his bags moved elsewhere. He added that he had to go somewhere else to change his clothes as an active talent as a result.
It seems that Otunga wants the media to pay attention to this side of Cena, as he had to wait all these years to tell his story. The internet is split on the matter as well, since the video was uploaded. Some have called out the timing of these accusations.
This Bombshell Comes A Week Ahead Of Cena’s Retirement
David Otunga dropped this video filled with accusations about John Cena’s character a week ahead of the latter’s retirement match. Cena is set to wrestle his final match against Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 in Washington, DC.
The Franchise Player has stated this is the final time anyone will see him inside a WWE ring. Many fans are looking forward to seeing their GOAT hit the ropes one last time before they can never ‘see him’ again.
