WNBA 2K25 Roster in NBA 2K25 From Hype, DC, and JP

The timing of the release of NBA 2K means the WNBA roster tends to be quickly outdated because of the looming playoffs and offseason. With NBA 2K25, the same timing issues remain but OSers Hyperballer, DC, and JP have created a WNBA Play Now roster that fits with the end of the 2024 season — with much more planned for the future.

As of now, this roster is best for Play Now — albeit you can use it to start your franchise — and they will be planning an actual Scenario for the 2025 season that includes the incoming draft class, expansion draft, free agent pool, and the Golden State Valkyries. The timing of that will line up more with the next WNBA season, so it will be a couple months down the line. I would also suspect there may be two different versions at some point. One that comes a little sooner that includes free agency and the draft class, and then one later on that better fleshes out the Valkyries and such.

To be clear, this is also more than just a roster update. They update things like attributes and tendencies. They also update player gear — including brand changes.

In addition, this roster does include optional sliders, so it’s a full-on Play Now experience with potential for more — it’s the roster I’m going to use when I start a new WNBA franchise (I’ll be getting the itch soon with the draft lottery now in the books).

As a final note, I will make my yearly mention that the WNBA gameplay is arguably the best part of NBA 2K. The gameplay is more consistent and easier to plan around game-to-game, and I highly recommend you scope it out if the “normal” NBA 2K gameplay is grating on you.
